Chapter 403

Connie started laughing. I thought she'd back off, but nope, she just kept going.

Her curvy, soft body was driving me wild, but my brain was screaming, "Don't do anything stupid."

I gripped the armrest to keep my hands to myself.

"I'm thirty and single for ages. You get it, right?" Her breath tickled my face, like someone was teasing my heart with a feather. "And when I want a man, I get him."

Then she leaned in and kissed me.

I just sat there, taking it.

It was so hard to resist; I wanted to take control.

I thought, 'No, I have to hold back!

Caught up in all these feelings, she pulled me to a nearby couch.

She looked down at me, all satisfied. "Don't worry, I'll take care of you. Just go with it."

Words were pointless now. When I crossed that line, I knew there was no going back.

I thought, 'It's over, really over.'

I was really overpowered by a woman.

She frowned, looking like she was in pain. After a bit, she seemed to get used to it and had that smug look again. "Remember, from today on, you're mine!"

I didn't say anything. I flipped over and took control.

At this point, I didn't want to talk. I just went at it hard to make her understand one thing: never think about forcing a man.

"Yes, just like that. I love your wild side." She said excitedly, "Show your masculinity!"

I felt helpless.

I thought, 'What? Does she have this hidden fetish?'

"You asked for it." I then sped up and went at it more forcefully.

Holding her curvy, soft body, my excitement started to fade. She was actually a virgin!

"What's wrong?" She looked up at me. "Are you tired?"

"No, I was just thinking about the project you mentioned."

Connie suddenly burst into laughter. I felt weird. "Why are you laughing?"

"I am the project!" She sat up straight. "Don't you think it's a good deal?"

I rolled my eyes. "Good deal? I feel like I lost big time!"

"John, you just had sex with me. Are you going to deny it now?" She said, "Don't forget, I know your weakness now."

"Anyway, I'm telling you, I won't break up with my girlfriend." I said.

"Don't break up then, I don't care!" She said indifferently, "I'm not planning to get married anytime soon anyway. When I want to get married, I'll just send someone to drag you to get the marriage certificate. Let's see what you do then!"

I broke out in a cold sweat. This rogue woman would definitely do what she said.

But I also felt relieved. At least she didn't have any plans to get married soon.

I thought, 'Indeed, guys need to protect themselves, or they'll end up like me.'

"Do you really not care?" I asked.

"Care about what? I'm so busy every day, I can't be with you 24/7!" Connie said, "I don't really care about this. Everyone likes a capable man. Even if you don't mess with other women, other women will still come after you."

"I'm not as great as you think!" I said, embarrassed.

"Are you saying I have poor judgment?"Connie said, "You don't know. I had to do this because those flirtatious women were planning to drug you."

"Who?"

"Those flirtatious women are not easy to deal with. If they latch onto you, you'll be in big trouble."

I was so freaked out I broke into a cold sweat. "You women are all bandits!"

She lifted her head. "I might be a bandit, but I'm a clean one, not like those flirty women!"

"So, after you leave, are you gonna stake your claim to them?"

"Exactly!" She said, all smug. "Those flirty women think they can compete with me for a man? They don't even deserve you."

At least Abigail would back off.

I then thought, 'Compared to The Kingsley Family, The Wilson Family is just rich. Sure, there's a big gap in wealth compared to The Wilson Family, but it's not impossible to catch up in the future. But the gap between me and The Kingsley Family? That's a whole different story. Even if I became the richest guy in Sevan City, matching her would be tough. That's why I couldn't mess with Abigail.'

I held Connie, just wanting to enjoy how amazing her body felt.

This perfect figure could definitely wear a guy out.

After some more intimate moments, she got dressed and left, though she was a bit wobbly. Before leaving, she said, "You did great today. I'm very satisfied. I'll come find you again tomorrow."

With that, she left with a mischievous smile.

Connie was really bad and domineering, but her straightforward personality made it quite comfortable to get along with her.

I thought, 'As for the future, who knows? Just like she said, we're not married anyway.'

Three days later, Calliope returned from Sevan City.

During the three days she was away, Marlow did his best, and the company's various businesses, after the initial running-in period, began to run smoothly.

Marlow's ability was quite impressive. He pulled all the resources from Skyliho Group over here. In just three or four days, the free channel traffic exceeded eight million, and he connected five or six online and offline channels, completing half of Calliope's plan by himself.

For this, I personally spent fifty thousand dollars to reward him.

He still held a position at Skyliho Group. So far, Steven hadn't called even once, as if he forgot there was a branch in Greenvale City.

However, this morning, Marlow came into my office. "Mr. Cena, Steven called and asked about the company's situation."

"What did you say?"

"I said the company is barely holding on."

"What did he say?"

"He asked me to go back to Sevan City to report, and he also asked me to bring you along."

I calculated the time. I had been in Greenvale City for almost a month. Steven's injuries should be almost healed by now.

Katherine sent a message saying that after Steven got injured, his personality changed drastically, becoming extremely gloomy.

"You don't need to go to Sevan City. Just submit your resignation."

I said, "I'll go back alone. Call Calliope and the other management staff to my office."

"Okay, Mr. Cena!"

Soon, Calliope and the company's middle management were all present, standing by and waiting for my instructions. "I might need to go back to Sevan City in the next two days. During my absence, Calliope will be in charge of decision-making. In terms of business, make sure to satisfy the customers and not damage the reputation of WY Media Company. You all know that those customers are my friends. I will randomly check, and if they say we didn't do well, you know the consequences."

"Please rest assured, Mr. Cena. We will do our best." Calliope quickly said.

The others also echoed in agreement.
