Chapter 409
I thought, 'Can't mess around? Then why am I even here? I'm a big shot, do I really need to sit through this class?'
Seeing Ella's flushed face, I figured she was just embarrassed and said that on purpose. Women, they gotta play it cool sometimes.
"Alright." I nodded.
She headed to the supermarket to grab some ingredients. After we ate, I thought we'd get down to business, but nope, she came back with a stack of books. "Here, these are all the physics courses from freshman to junior year. Let's start with freshman year."
I was shocked. Seeing her serious face, I realized she actually meant it.
"Ms. Martinez, I..."
"Open your book to the first page, we're starting the class now!"
Feeling a bit helpless, I opened the book. Ella was a great teacher, breaking down the basics and making everything easy to understand.
But seriously, who came to a class like this?
As she got into teaching, my mind wandered. I couldn't help but notice her short shorts showing off her long legs.
She was in a white T-shirt, and sometimes, when she bent down, I got a peek inside.
With that enticing fragrance, I suddenly felt excited, my blood boiling.
Even though I'd already had sex three times today, it didn't stop me from getting excited.
The supplements and workouts were really paying off; I was stronger than ever.
"John, John?" She called my name three or four times before I snapped back. "What is it?"
She frowned. "Are you even listening?"
"Yeah, yeah!" I said, feeling guilty. Honestly, I was lost in my own thoughts and had no clue what she was teaching.
"Then explain this sentence to me!" She pointed to the book.
I scratched my nose, "Ms. Martinez, how about a break? You've been teaching for half an hour."
I quickly ran over to pour her some water. "Here, have some water, Ms. Martinez!"
She took the water and sipped it. Things were getting awkward. We just stared at each other, not knowing what to say.
"It's kinda hot in here, let me adjust the air conditioning."
"Ms. Martinez!"
I don't know where I got the courage, but I grabbed her hand.
Ella looked shy. "John, why are you holding my hand? Didn't we agree, no messing around?"
"Ms. Martinez!"
I stood up, feeling emotional. "Didn't you miss me while I was away?"
"Why would I miss you?" Ella's eyes showed a hint of panic. "Let go, John, I'm your teacher."
"Ms. Martinez, didn't you say you'd give me a chance?"
"Yeah, but didn't you break your promise too?"
Ella said, "You said you'd attend all my classes, but what happened? You went to Greenvale City and only came back after a month!"
I thought, 'Is she mad?'
I wasn't dumb. I could tell. Now wasn't the time to explain, so I gently hugged her. "Ms. Martinez, I had to go to Greenvale City. You don't know, it was really dangerous for me there!"
Ella struggled a bit. "If you want to talk, just talk. Why are you hugging me? John, let go, or I won't tutor you anymore."
I didn't let go and continued, "Over twenty days ago, I had to go to Greenvale City on short notice. The previous company boss ticked off a big shot there and almost got killed. I was in danger too. After sorting things out, my sister in Crystal Nation got into trouble."
I tweaked the story a bit and told her. Ella stopped struggling, her expression shifting from suspicion to tension.
Especially when I mentioned being locked in a water cell and beaten by Lincoln, she got really nervous. "Then what happened? How did you escape?"
"I was beaten badly, and all I could think about was surviving. I wanted to come back and attend your class, Ms. Martinez. I wanted to keep my promise to you. I didn't want you to think I was unreliable. I didn't want to disappoint you. It was your support that kept me going in such a harsh environment!"
Ella bit her lower lip. "Then what?"
"Then..."
I told her about my struggle with Lincoln, fighting armed thugs at sea, drifting on the ocean, being rescued by dolphins, and surviving on an island.
My tanned skin and scars were the best proof.
"Ms. Martinez, in my darkest moments, it was you who gave me hope and the courage to survive."
Ella blushed, looking a bit lost.
At that moment, if I still stood there clueless, I'd be a real fool.
I leaned in and kissed Ella's lips.
At first, she was a bit scared; I couldn't even pry open her teeth.
So I slowed down, kissing gently, savoring the moment.
Then I whispered, "Ms. Martinez, I really like you. I've liked you since college, for five years now."
That sentence made Ella open her mouth, and she even gently hugged me.
She was really inexperienced and shy.
She didn't even dare to open her eyes, closing them and letting me guide her.
Her breathing was rapid, her chest heaving.
I was afraid she couldn't breathe, so I let go.
"Ms. Martinez, can you open your eyes and look at me?"
I held her flushed face. Her shy look was very similar to Ruby, but she seemed even shyer.
"No."
She whispered, "You can't touch me anymore!"
"I can give up breathing, but I can't give up thinking about you."
She snorted, "If you have the guts, give up breathing and let me see."
"Okay!"
I immediately held my breath. Ten seconds, twenty seconds, thirty seconds, forty seconds.
The longer it went, the less air in my lungs, followed by a strong sense of suffocation.
That feeling was really intense.
Soon a minute and a half passed. I grew up by the water, so I could hold my breath for up to three minutes, but now at most two minutes. If she didn't open her eyes in thirty seconds, this little trick would fail.
Just after a minute and forty seconds, Ella opened her eyes. "Why are you so silly? I told you to give up breathing, and you really did?"
I shook my head, still not breathing. My heart was racing, I felt my heart beating fast, my head starting to swell, a sign of oxygen deprivation.
"Why are you so stubborn? I believe you, can you please breathe?"
Ella was anxious, but I still didn't resume normal breathing.
Seeing two minutes approaching, I was about to breathe when Ella made a bold move!
She took a deep breath, leaned in, and transferred the air from her mouth to mine.
At that moment, I felt very happy.
She let go, took another deep breath, and transferred the air to me again.
I was amused by her actions.
After repeating this a few times, she panted, "I can't. I'm dizzy."
I quickly caught my breath, then mimicked her, transferring the air from my mouth to hers.
By the fifth time, she pursed her lips, looking at me angrily. "Is scaring me fun for you?"
I said innocently, "As your student, I should listen to you."
