Chapter 335
She shoved me away, all pissed off, ready to bounce, "I don't wanna talk to you!"
I freaked out, sprinted after her to the shallow end, grabbed Ruby's hand, and yanked her into my arms.
She was shaking like a leaf, totally freaked out!
I hugged her tight, whispered, "I'm sorry, Ruby, I messed up. I won't joke like that again."
As I spoke, I gently patted her back. She was choking back sobs, and seeing her sweet face, my heart just broke.
Cradling her face, I kissed her softly, wiping away her tears, "I'm sorry, it's all on me. I scared you."
Then, outta nowhere, she hugged me back, tighter than ever.
She buried her face in my chest, trembling, "Do you know how scared I was? Do you know how guilty I felt? I kept thinking, if I had gone in with you, you wouldn't have been in danger."
Holding her close, I realized just how much I meant to her.
I leaned down and kissed her pale lips gently.
No rush, no crazy desire.
I just wanted to calm her down.
She hugged me tight, not like before where she let me lead. This time, she clung to me like I was gonna disappear.
I don't know how long we stayed like that, but eventually, the fear in her eyes faded, and I helped her step by step onto the shore.
"Go wash up, I'll wait for you outside!"
She nodded, looking all shy and sweet.
After about ten minutes, she came out in a fresh outfit, no makeup, just cute Ruby.
I changed too, couldn't be sitting around shirtless in case Lillian barged in.
Sitting face to face, it got kinda awkward. I didn't know what to say!
It felt like we used up all our courage in the pool.
"Ruby."
"John."
"You go first!" Ruby tucked her hair behind her ear.
I took a deep breath, "No, you go first!"
Ruby said, "Okay, I'll go first!"
"You said you like someone like me, is that for real or just to make me happy?"
I didn't answer right away, thought for a sec, then said seriously, "It's for real!"
A hint of joy flashed in Ruby's eyes, "You're not lying, right?"
"I swear, if I'm lying, let me suffer a terrible..."
Before I could finish, she covered my mouth, "Don't jinx yourself..."
I chuckled, holding her hand, "Ruby, you're so good to me!"
"Let go, still wanna mess around?"
She pulled her hand back, "I'm tired, you should go."
I was shocked, thinking, 'Did I read this wrong? It shouldn't be like this.'
"Ruby, I want a reward!"
She gave me a playful look, then poked my head, "You, always thinking about teasing me!"
With that, she walked into the room, closed the French window, and locked it from the inside.
I felt super bummed.
Sighing, I headed back to my room.
Lying on the bed, I was kinda tired too, and soon knocked out.
In the middle of the night, a soft body snuggled into my arms, waking me up. It was Lillian.
"Where'd this perv come from?" she teased.
"Get lost, you're the perv!" I retorted.
She straddled me, "I thought you were asleep!"
I said helplessly, "You woke me up!"
"That's 'cause I missed you." Her tone was filled with affection.
Lillian kissed my cheek, "Tell me, did you miss me?"
I didn't say anything, just showed her with actions, "It's been a few days, my massage skills improved. Wanna have a try, huh?"
The girl hummed softly, her voice trembling, "You're shameless!"
Out of all the ladies, only Lillian's body could rival Lauren's, especially her chest, which I just couldn't get enough of.
"Come on, let me check you out, see if my Lillian's girls have grown!"
"No way!"
I thought, 'If she says no and I back off, I'll look like a wimp, right?'
"It's ticklish."
"Keep it down, Ruby's next door. What if she hears you?"
She quickly covered her mouth, eyes all misty, "Then stop teasing me and move your junk away."
I wasn't even planning on going that far, just wanted to mess with her a bit, but my hands weren't stopping.
She lay on top of me, panting softly, "Our school's on break. I'm thinking of hitting up Crystal Nation for a vacay. Will you come with me?"
Crystal Nation?
I shook my head, "I just got bumped up to assistant director at Skyliho Group. No time for a trip."
"Why haven't you quit yet? What kind of unprofessional boss are you?" Lillian bit my chest, "I've hooked you up with so many deals, what's wrong with tagging along?"
She really did look out for me, getting her friends to throw nearly tens of millions of dollars in deals my way.
"Your plan was to go with me?"
"No, also my mom, my aunt, Kelsey, Mya, and the rest."
All women.
"Isn't it risky with just women?"
I thought, 'Crystal Nation's got a lot of creeps. It'd be dangerous for you hotties to go alone.'
"That's why I asked if you'd come."
Lillian pleaded, "Please, let's go together!"
I had a headache. Couldn't ditch Skyliho Group, but I didn't want them going alone either.
Suddenly, I had an idea, "How about this: I can't be with you the whole time, but I can take a couple of days off, plus the weekend. That gives us four days together. You’re not staying there too long, right?"
"No, we plan to stay for seven days, then head to Willowbrook Heights!"
"Alright, it's a deal."
Lillian happily kissed my cheek and then fell asleep hugging me.
Holding a naked beauty in my arms was pure torture, but I had enough self-control to drift off.
The next morning, I woke up to find Lillian in a weird position, almost pushing me off the bed.
I woke up feeling super thirsty.
I immediately started flirting with her, once again positioning myself at her entrance...
Soon Lillian woke up too, shyly saying, "You wake up early just to mess with me!"
I chuckled, ignoring her.
Twenty minutes later, I left my mark inside her.
We showered together, and she quietly slipped back to her room.
During breakfast, I looked at Ruby, she looked at me, and it felt like we were having an affair...
"Let's go, John, we have negotiations this morning..."
At Nexus Enterprises, everyone was buzzing.
Company financing meant raises for them.
By nine in the morning, luxury cars started piling up outside.
Liberty Capital Group, Crafted Ales Collective, BrewCrafters, all three showed up.
BrewCrafters offered forty-nine billion dollars, an early exit.
Crafted Ales Collective had the same offer as Liberty Capital Group, but we weren't in a rush.
"Mr. Cena, let me introduce you to Scarlett Williams, the deputy general manager of Liberty Capital Group!"
"Hello, Ms. Williams!"
Scarlett, around thirty, with gold-rimmed glasses, hair pinned up, dressed sharp, looked competent and confident, a real career woman.
