That move made both Briana and Uncle go dead silent. They exchanged looks, totally stunned.
"You're wrong. My brother-in-law is a top-notch guy."
Maxwell chimed in, "Uncle, you probably have no clue what kind of car John drives!"
"What kind of car?" Amelia's dad asked, almost on autopilot.
"A luxury ride worth two million bucks!"

Everyone was floored again, even Amelia looked shocked, "Where'd you get a luxury car from?"
I grinned and said, "Of course, it's mine!"
"Yours? How the heck can you afford a luxury car?" She was totally skeptical.
I patted her hand, "I'll explain later."
With that, I walked over, "This is a little gift I got for you, please take it."
Amelia's dad quickly waved his hand, "This is way too much, way too much."
"Compared to all the effort you put into raising Amelia, these gifts are nothing."
Hearing that, Brett was super pleased.
"Mrs. Jones, I wasn't sure what brands you like, so I got a bit of everything! You can keep these for now, and I'll get you more later!"
Alicia was over the moon, "John, these gifts are too expensive."
I shook my head and said seriously, "Mrs. Jones, you're Amelia's mom, and soon you'll be my mom too. It's only right for me to show my respect!"
"Amelia, you're a lucky woman!"
Briana said, "He's talented, successful, and treats you like a queen. A perfect match!"

When we got to the parking lot, they all crowded around to check out the luxury car.
After they left, I got into the car, and Amelia asked, "Come on, be honest, did you rent this car?"
I didn't say a word, just pulled out the vehicle registration from the glove box.
Amelia's eyes widened, "It's really your car."
"Yup."
She bit her lip, "So, everything you said earlier was legit?"

Her face was a mix of emotions, "So, you're loaded."
"Consider me a millionaire."
"Then why are you still working at Skyliho Group?"
"Because of you."
"Don't BS me. We haven't been together that long, and you weren't rich when we met."
I scratched my nose, "Well, I'm doing well at Skyliho Group. I'll quit when I feel like it."
"What about me?"
I tilted her chin up, "You'll be with me."
"So, I can just be a housewife in the future?"
I nodded, and she grinned, "I have a good eye. I found myself a husband, and he turned out to be a rich guy!"
Her proud look was genuine, and I found it super cute.
Regardless of my wealth, she would stay by my side, which I found most admirable about her.
"Let's head back. I can't wait to get it on with you."
After a few drinks and seeing Amelia all dolled up, I was definitely in the mood too.
"But my car is still here."
