Chapter 419
"Alright!" I nodded.
Elijah asked, "So, are you thinking of settling in Sevan City or moving to Greenvale City?"
"Honestly, not sure yet. Might end up getting places in both." I finally had the confidence to say stuff like that.
"John, find a time to invite your parents out for a meal with us!" Elijah said. "We can also talk about your wedding!"
Just then, the door flew open, and Lily rushed out, her face all red. "Dad, this is too fast, really too fast. Let John and me figure this out ourselves, please don't interfere, okay?"
Elijah frowned, about to say something, but I jumped in, "Elijah, I feel the same way!"
Elijah replied, "Alright then, you two can decide."I was worried he wouldn't agree when it came to money, but looked like I was overthinking.
Elijah called out to Sofia, "Honey, it's John's first time here. Go to the supermarket and get some good stuff for dinner."
Sofia came out. "Alright!"
In the afternoon, Elijah took Scott out for some errands, and Sofia hadn't come back from grocery shopping yet, leaving just the two of us at home.
Lily's room was small but super clean. Lily said, "John, don't take what my family said today to heart."
I smiled and pulled her into my arms. "I've already forgotten about it. Besides, you're mine now, and your parents have accepted it."
She blushed. "By the way, how did you suddenly become so rich? Even if you started a company, it's impossible to make twenty million dollars in just over a month, right?"
Twenty million dollars was nothing; I made two hundred million dollars a month. I replied, "The company's doing well!"
"By the way, did you start that company with your one million dollar commission?"
"That's right!"
Lily smiled, but then she looked a bit sad. "Am I a mess now?"
I sighed and held her close. "No, you've always been the best in my heart, even now. When you used to bully me, I hated you and wanted to get back at you. But no matter how I thought about it, nothing seemed to satisfy my anger. Only by stealing your heart could I truly get back at you."
Lily's body went soft. "Well, you succeeded. Everything I said earlier was said in anger. I felt really regretful after saying it. I've never been in a relationship and didn't know how to love. But when you left my life, I realized I couldn't live without you."
She lay on my chest, quietly listening to my heartbeat. "Maybe, as you said, this year and a half together made me fall in love with you without realizing it. That's why I tortured myself like this."
"John, I'm a traditional person. The way I was raised doesn't allow me to like anyone else. Since I brought you home, you have to take care of me for life." At this moment, words were unnecessary. As Lily said, looking back now, maybe I liked her a long time ago.
I kissed her. My hands started to wander, and Lily was clearly aroused, her body constantly twisting.
"John, make love to me!" She blushed and whispered.
I shook my head. "It's too soon. I want to wait until you're at your most beautiful, and besides, the environment here is too poor. I don't want to wrong you."
She was deeply moved. "John, you're so good to me!"
"Just realizing that now?"
"I'll make sure to eat well!"
We rested for a while, and she fell asleep. I quietly stayed by her side until it got dark, and she woke up. "It's dark!"
Seeing me looking at her, she said shyly, "Do I look ugly when I sleep?"
"No, you look beautiful, like Sleeping Beauty!" I ruffled her hair, and just then, Sofia finished making dinner. "Get up, it's time to eat!"
"John, dinner's ready!" Scott called out with a grin.
Sofia chimed in, "John, the food's on the table."
I replied, ''I'm coming.''
Elijah was all smiles too; seemed like the afternoon errands went well. The table was loaded with delicious dishes, all super tempting. "John, let's have a drink together. Let's leave the past behind us."
I raised my glass. "Elijah, it wasn't that big of a deal. I was young and impulsive."
"Come on, eat up, let's drink. No need to head back tonight!" That night, Elijah got hammered.
Scott was pretty wasted too, and when he was drunk, he was hilarious. "We're rich now, our family finally has money again. I don't want to live without money; I don't want to be poor!"
After that, Scott passed out on the floor. I was pretty tipsy too, and Lily and I helped carry them to their rooms.
Sofia told Lily, "I've heated some water. Wipe John down so he can sleep more comfortably."
"Alright!" Lily nodded, blushing.
Once in the room, she started to undress me, and I quickly stopped her. "No need, I can do it myself!"
Lily insisted, "Let me do it!"
I said, "I'm not that drunk; I can wash myself." I took a shower in the small bathroom, which sobered me up quite a bit.
"You go to sleep first; I'll take a shower!" Lily said, blushing.
Lying on the bed, smelling Lily's scent on the sheets, I couldn't help but feel aroused.
About twenty minutes later, Lily came in wearing a thin nightgown, her curvaceous body barely concealed. As she passed the foot of the bed, the fan blew her skirt up, making me very excited.
"I'm done showering," Lily said nervously. I pulled her into my arms, inhaling her scent. "You smell so good!"
She buried her face in my chest. "Can you turn off the light?"
"If I turn off the light, I can't see you." I held her chin; although I wanted to make love to her, I remembered what I had said before and restrained myself.
Besides, old houses had a common problem: poor soundproofing, offering little privacy. But that didn't stop me from making some moves.
Before long, Lily was aroused, looking at me with sultry eyes. "If you really want to, do it."
I shook my head and kissed her soft skin. She tilted her head back, holding my head tightly.
The night felt endless, and my emotions for Lily surged, making it seem as though the world contained only the two of us.
"John, I'm sorry for hurting you before!" Lily suddenly looked at me apologetically. "Back then, I just thought you were a pushover."
I stroked her hair. "You don't need to apologize, and you've already paid the price."
She looked at me with a mix of shyness and affection. "I owe you, and I can never repay what I owed you before. Now I owe you even more."
I caressed her smooth back. "You don't need to say that; I did it willingly."
Hearing this, she was deeply moved. "You're so good to me. I was so foolish before, always arguing with you."
I smiled. "It's all in the past."
Now, Lily was gentle and considerate, no longer stubborn. The series of setbacks had made her see many things clearly, which was a good thing. Without Eloise in the way, everything went smoothly.
Lily said, "Are you feeling uncomfortable? Should I help you?"
I asked, "How?"
She whispered shyly in my ear.
"Can you do it?" I looked at her curiously.
"I can try! It shouldn't be hard, right?!" She said nervously.
"It's easy; you'll know once you try."
Encouraged by my gaze, Lily bravely took the first step, but she couldn't last long. "I can't, it's too tiring, and I'm so clumsy. I might hurt you!"
