Chapter 431
I rented this pretty big boat with eight rooms, a game room, a billiard room, and even a bar!
After a hot bath to shake off the chill, we got dressed and headed to the deck. Quinlan was already grilling with a few girls.
We had planned to spend the night on the island, but everyone decided to stay on the boat instead. For safety, I had the captain anchor the boat close to the island. The sea can be unpredictable, so being near the island meant we could handle any emergencies quickly.
That night, everyone had a blast. Quinlan had a bit too much to drink and whispered in my ear, "Next time, it's on me. Let's hit the high seas, just the two of us. It'll be even more fun than this!"
Quinlan was always like that, a bit of a flirt and a joker, not as serious as Yves. But he was a good friend.
Back in the room that night, Connie and I got busy again. She was just too irresistible.
"John, I can't come again!"
"John, won't you let me rest for a bit?"
"John, are you really that strong? I give up, okay? Can we take a break?"
Honestly, the soundproofing on the boat wasn't great. I could hear noises from Quinlan's room, Richard's room, and even the staff's rooms. Those two captains must be having a good time tonight.
"John, how do you have so much energy?"
"John, please spare me!"
When all the other rooms quieted down, I knew I was the ultimate winner!
At that moment, Quinlan sent a message: [I give up, you're just too strong.]
Richard: [Be gentle with Connie!]
Looking at the sleeping Connie, I felt pretty proud.
The next day, Connie woke me up early, and it was only six o'clock. The aftereffects of last night's fun were evident; I felt sore all over, while Connie looked radiant and beautiful.
Connie said, "Get up, watch the sunrise with me!"
I asked, "Can I sleep a bit longer?"
Connie pouted and said, "Sleeping alone is called resting; sleeping together is called sleeping." Saying that, she lifted the blanket and snuggled into my arms.
I was instantly wide awake. We had been going at it for days; we needed a break occasionally.
"Alright, I'm getting up." I got dressed and accompanied her to the deck, watching the sun rise bit by bit from the horizon.
She leaned on my shoulder. "It's so good to have you here! I hope every sunrise and sunset in the future will have you by my side."
At nine in the morning, Connie and I went ashore. Quinlan and Richard planned to have fun on the island.
I said, "I'm heading to the office!"
"If you miss me, give me a call." Connie kissed my lips and then got into the car.
Our relationship had deepened a lot over the past few days; she really was a wonderful woman. She just likes to swear when begging for mercy, but her words only fuel my desire to conquer.
A few minutes later, a car stopped in front of me. I got into the passenger seat and found a comfortable position. Ava was wearing delicate black stockings today, cool and silky to the touch.
I said, "Let's go to the office first!"
By the time we got to the office, Ava could barely walk. Blushing, she said, "Mr. Cena, I'll go wash the car!"
I waved my hand. "Just wipe it down. We'll be picking someone up soon!"
I gave Aurora a call, and soon enough, she showed up with Daniel. "John!" They both chimed in together.
I glanced at Daniel, all suited up with shiny leather shoes. He looked like a whole new person. "Not bad, I heard you're a team leader in the e-commerce department now?"
Daniel scratched his head, looking a bit shy. "It's all thanks to their support."
"This is your own hard work; it has nothing to do with them." However, seeing him so humble made me feel very gratified.
I called Charles and borrowed a car, which arrived shortly after. "Mr. Cena!" The driver quickly got out and greeted me.
I nodded. "Follow my car."
"Okay!"
Soon, our cars pulled up at the long-distance bus station, drawing everyone's attention as they parked outside.
We waited at the exit. Soon enough, my parents Eryx and Piper, along with Cara and Samuel, walked out. I quickly went to help with the luggage. "Welcome, everyone! Let me grab those for you."
"John, you look more mature and like a big boss now," Cara said, looking pleased.
Samuel patted Daniel on the shoulder. "Not bad, you've grown up."
Daniel grinned. "It's all thanks to the training at John's company."
"Thank you, John!" Samuel said gratefully.
I replied, "Samuel, we're family; no need to thank me."
"Aurora, you haven't caused John any trouble, have you?" Piper asked, holding Aurora's hand.
Aurora replied, "Of course not, I work very hard!"
"That's good!"
Eryx, not being very talkative, just smiled on the side.
"Mr. Cena, let me carry that," Ava stepped forward and said.
"No need, I can handle it." I put the luggage in the car and said to them, "Let's talk at my office."
"Did you drive here? With so many of us, one car might not be enough!" Samuel said.
Daniel pointed to the side. "Dad, look, that car is ours, and the one next to it is ours too. We could fit twice as many people!"
"My goodness, such a long car, I've only seen it on TV!" Samuel was very surprised.
As a rural teacher who had never left the mountains, he was naturally shocked to see a luxury car, especially one that came to pick him up.
Sitting in the car, Cara felt uneasy. "Is this really your car?"
I replied, "No, I borrowed it from a friend. Cara, just relax and sit." Then I turned to Daniel. "Daniel, take good care of them. I'll ride in the front car!"
Eryx and Piper sat in my car, along with Aurora. In the car, Eryx asked, "John, I heard from Aurora that you're very wealthy now?"
"Sort of!"
Hearing my words, Eryx looked at Piper in disbelief. "Pinch me; this feels so unreal!"
Piper laughed happily. "John, now that you're successful, we can finally be at ease."
Aurora even laughed to the point of tears. I understood her well; our family had a tough life before. Now that we had paid off all our debts and have money, we had finally left that life behind.
"By the way, John, where's Lucy?" Piper asked.
I knew Piper would ask. "She's been busy with company matters lately and couldn't come. She asked me to tell you not to blame her."
"We wouldn't blame her." Despite her words, Piper looked disappointed. Aurora pouted but said nothing.
Soon, we arrived at the BS Building. "Everyone, this is my company. This whole row is ours!"
Cara and Samuel were stunned. "So many offices, how many people work here?"
Daniel said, "Mom, Dad, John has over a thousand employees."
