Chapter 165

Just then, Mary Walker called, "John Cena, the headhunting company said that two people would come over in the morning. I've reviewed their resumes, and they are really talented."

I felt delighted. It was just what I needed. I needed a professional manager to help me organise the company and expand our channels.
"Alright, I got it."

"Oh, by the way, don't forget about tomorrow morning."

"What's happening?"

"Didn't I mention last time that the Sevan Media Association is organizing a big advertising conference?"

Slapping my forehead, I couldn't believe I had forgotten about that.

"You didn't forget, did you?"

"I have been too busy for the past few days. But don't worry, I've already prepared the business cards," I replied.

"Okay, I'll be waiting for you."

After hanging up the phone, I thought to myself, 'Tomorrow, I can collect more business cards, all of which are valuable resources.'

Around ten o'clock, the HR department informed me that a beautiful woman was here for an interview!

If she came here to see me, then she must be one of the people recruited by the headhunting company.

"Let her in."

Shortly after, a well-dressed, beautiful woman with short hair and light makeup, looking sharp and pretty, walked in.

Black stockings wrapped her long legs, making her appear sleek and slender.
She held a folder in her hands and greeted me with a smile. "Hello, Mr. Cena, I'm Holly!"

"What a lovely name," I complimented, standing up and shaking her hand. "Nice to meet you. I'm John Cena. Please, have a seat!"

When I observed her, she was also sizing me up. I must say, this woman exuded professionalism and elegance throughout.

Just then, the HR staff brought in water, and I said, "The company is in a trial operation, so we only have water, no coffee."

"I don't like coffee. I prefer water!" she replied with a smile, taking the water.

Holly was quite straightforward in her speech, showing her personality, which I appreciated.

"Alright, since you're so direct, I'll be straightforward too. I recently established my company and am in need of a professional manager to oversee its operations. I have the resources, but I need someone to assist me in expanding offline advertising companies and online channels. It's not that I can't do it myself, but it's too time-consuming."

"I used to work at YH Media Company. Mr. Cena, have you heard of it?"

YH Media Company? With so many large and small media companies under Sevan, how the hell would I know which one is YH Media Company?
"To be honest, I haven't heard of it!" I replied.

Holly's face fell slightly, but her good, professional demeanor kept her composed. "Oh, YH Media Company is located in the WY Building. It's a medium-sized media company with nearly two hundred employees. It's normal if you haven't heard of it, it's quite far away."

I nodded, thinking that she remained calm despite the situation. Some people with pride might have reacted differently to my response.

"How many people do you have under you?"

"One is in charge of offline operation, and the other is in charge of online operation. I can also renegotiate some of YH Media Company's channels."

"What would you be responsible for?"

"That depends on where Mr. Cena wants me to go."

I gave her full marks for that response.

"What compensation do you want?"

"I don't want a salary, but I want twenty percent of the shares. Additionally, my two subordinates should each earn no less than ten thousand dollars per month and have at least ten percent of the shares!"

I chuckled. "Let me tell you this. I'm not actually looking at your resources, because I have enough to support the company. I can live quite comfortably. Give me a sincere offer, and let's keep it simple."

With the support of the Allen Family, Edward Walker, George Jefferson, and Charles Williams, along with the resources I had acquired earlier, if I still couldn't make it work, then I was just incompetent.

Holly thought for a moment. "I want fifteen percent of the shares. My two subordinates should earn eight thousand dollars a month, and each has five percent of the shares!"

This translates to twenty-five percent of the shares.
I nodded. "Alright, but within a year, you will only have profit-sharing rights! And I'll give you only one month to set up the rest of the framework for me!"

"Okay, if I can't do it within a month, I'll resign voluntarily without asking for a penny. By the end of the year, there will be eighty million dollars in cash flow!"

Eighty million dollars. I calculated the time. It was June now, which meant they had half a year left.
On average, they would need to earn more than thirteen million dollars per month.

Assuming a thirty percent profit margin, that would be nearly four million dollars.

Would I become a millionaire in half a year?

I suddenly felt hopeful.

"Alright, are you willing to sign this agreement?"

"I am!"

I called the HR staff to print out the contract.

"You're quite bold. Aren't you afraid I might deceive you?"

"If Mr. Cena dares to hire me, why wouldn't I dare to accept?" Holly smiled confidently. "But, Mr. Cena, before signing the contract, I have two requests that I hope you can agree to."

"Go ahead."

"Firstly, I need your trust. Without your support, I can't do anything. Secondly, I need the authority to manage personnel. If anyone doesn't meet my requirements, I can dismiss them directly."

I stroked my chin. "Alright, when can you start?"

"I can start right now!"

"Great, let's sign the contract then."

I handed her the contract, and after carefully reviewing it to ensure there were no traps, she signed her name and stamped it.

One can judge a person's capability by their level of confidence. Holly was confident and aware of her situation, not arrogant or overconfident.

Our conversation was pleasant, although I couldn't rule out the possibility of her trying to please me.

But her flattery wouldn't work on me. The company was small, and within a few days, I would know if she was capable or not. If not, I could dismiss her.

"Mr. Cena, can I call my two partners now?" She asked, already placing herself in a subordinate position and getting into character quickly.

That was a good sign.

I nodded, and she made a phone call. Soon after, two men walked in, both exuding professionalism. One appeared simple, but he had very bright eyes, indicating a modest demeanor. The other was refined and well-spoken. Both of them were not fond of empty talk. Upon arrival, they immediately set a precise goal for me: three offline advertising partners in seven days and promotion on ten online channels.

Offline partners were harder to find, while online ones were relatively easier, but they were also more susceptible to scams without experience.

I didn't know how it would turn out, but for now, I was quite satisfied with them.

I planned to have them establish a separate project expansion department.

Perhaps in the future, as WY Media Company developed, our channels and advertising partners would be wider than Sevan alone.

After the two men left, Holly stayed back to discuss her plan with me. Her thoughts were clear, and her plan was well-organized.

It seemed she had come prepared before arriving.
