Chapter 262

She stood up quickly, looking a bit awkward. I pulled her back to her seat, telling her not to worry.

With so many people in the company, it made sense they called me the chairman.

I said, "You're really talented. I want to hire you as our top food streamer. There are lots of beautiful women, but standing out is tough."

Lily asked, "Can you really stand out with food broadcasting?"

"There's a streamer in Pinecrest Valley who travels the world eating expensive food. Don't you want to be like him?"

"I do!" Lily replied.

"He even collaborates with big celebrities. Don't you want that?" I asked.

"I do!" Lily nodded. "John, are you talking about that food detective?"

"Exactly. I want to make you the female version of him, but even more successful."

Imitation and reference are surprisingly effective. Spending millions to gain tens of millions of followers is worth it.

"Can I really do this?" Lily said nervously. "I feel like I'm not capable."

"Don't worry. I'll set up a team for you. Just focus on what you do best. The three conditions I mentioned can be in the contract, but it'll be a long-term deal."

"How many years?" Lily asked.

"Ten years! In the first year, you'll get a guaranteed $100,000 salary. No ads for the first three months, and you'll get ten percent of e-commerce and live broadcast revenue! The contract isn't fixed; as you get better, your benefits will increase. How about it? Do you see my sincerity?"

Lily nodded. "Very sincere. But isn't $100,000 too high? My classmates only make $36,000 a year!"

"You're not like them." It's better to be straightforward. Tactics might win temporary favor, but as she grows, she'll see through them.

"John, can I really do this?" Lily asked.

"If I say you can, then you can," I said.

Encouraged, Lily's eyes sparkled. "Alright, I agree!"

"Great!" I signaled to Mia, and soon a contract was brought over. Lily picked it up to sign. I said, "Look at the terms carefully. I don't want conflicts over minor issues later."

Gratefully, Lily reviewed the contract. Everything was fine except the breach of contract clause, which stated a billion dollars.

I explained, "The company will promote you, and other companies will make tempting offers. This is a bit of self-interest, hoping you understand."

Lily nodded. "I understand, but John, as long as the company treats me well, I won't go anywhere else."

In reality, sincerity begets sincerity.

"Alright, no problem, go ahead and sign," I said.

Lily signed her name, securing the future top food broadcaster of Maplewood Ridge. But that's a story for another time.

After leaving the shooting area, Holly reported, "John, I've renegotiated contracts with all distribution partners. Our advertising costs are down by about five percent, and future profits are estimated to increase by about thirty-five percent!"

"Very good, great job." I'm satisfied with this profit. It might be tough to reach Skyliho Group's level quickly, but we'll catch up eventually.

Holly continued, "We've added two online channels in the past two days, gaining around ten million followers. We've also finalized deals with Sevan City's second TV station and the morning radio station. Including overlapping audiences, we should reach about fifty-five million viewers."

I said, "The Southeast Province has about 150 million people. If we can cover all of them by the end of the year, it'll be a huge win for us!"

Holly nodded. "Yes, John!"

I added, "New media is the future, but WY Media Company is still our foundation. If we're short-staffed, start two more teams. Rent the vacant offices across. Don't worry about the cost. You're very capable, but take care of yourself. I don't want my best assistant burning out."

Holly said, "Thanks for your concern, John. I'll get everything organized and then look for new channels."

Before joining, Holly probably didn't expect the company to grow so fast. The goals she set, I achieved in just one day. Since then, she's looked at me with a hint of admiration.

"Alright, go ahead," I said.

After Holly left, the final payment from FF Media came through, marking the end of our partnership with them.

Next week, Dance Fusion Hall should be completed smoothly.

Even before opening, about eighty students have already paid deposits, mainly from Sevan City Art Academy, and the number is still growing.

Lucy also recruited students, including twenty to thirty younger kids. These kids are the main revenue drivers. Never underestimate parents' determination to educate their children.

With over a hundred students, I was already worried the venue might not be enough, and the idea of opening a second branch was forming in my mind.

Glancing at the time, it was almost noon, time to head to Mya's house.

With Scarlett's help, there shouldn't be any major issues at Sevan City University.

Scarlett, the head of the Dance Department at Sevan City University, bought a house near the school for convenience.

I carried gifts and flowers as I entered the building.

Mya opened the door, her eyes lighting up when she saw me. "John, you're here."

"These are for you," I said.

"Thank you." Mya blushed slightly; I had brought her pink roses.

"John is here? Please come in!" Scarlett came out of the kitchen, wearing an apron that couldn't hide her voluptuous figure.

"Ms. Foster, this is for you!" I said, handing her red roses.

Scarlett smiled as she accepted them.

Honestly, seeing the mother and daughter together, they could pass for sisters.

"Mya, sit with John and watch TV. I still have a few dishes to finish in the kitchen," Scarlett said.

"Okay!" Mya replied. "Let me wash some fruit for you, John!"

The room was small but cozy, with a pleasant fragrance matching the scent of the two women.

One wall was covered with photos of the mother and daughter. Their figures were simply perfect.

"John, have some fruit!" Mya sat beside me, a bit nervous and awkward.

Since the day I saved her, her attitude toward me had changed, becoming just like Kelsey's.

"Is your foot wound healed?" I asked.

"It's all better now." Mya nodded. "And you, is your foot better?"

"Much better." I picked up a strawberry and ate it, but my eyes were on Mya. She wore a floral dress, her hair in a ponytail. Her shy demeanor was very endearing.

My mind drifted back to that night on the West Coast.

The first time in the dark, I couldn't see anything, but the second time was different.

"You..."

We both spoke at the same time, and I said, "You go first!"
