Chapter 357 Nauseated
Katniss casually said, "He's my friend."
Sophia was checking out Nathan, too.
Seeing that Nathan wasn't as rude as Dylan, she relaxed a bit.
"Katniss, don't worry about me. I'll wait here," Sophia said, not wanting to interfere, and stepped back from the ward door.
Katniss nodded and continued checking Nathan's condition.
Nathan was very cooperative.
"Let's get on with the treatment. The timing's about right," Katniss said.
Nathan responded with a nod and then asked, "Did Dylan bother you again?"
He had thought Katniss wouldn't come to treat him anymore, but here she was again. He didn't know how to describe his feelings.
Katniss replied while treating him, "No, I came to the hospital to visit a friend and ran into him."
Although Dylan hadn't specifically come to bother her, this treatment wasn't something she had initiated herself.
Nathan fell silent, and the room became quiet.
"I heard you haven't been cooperating with the psychologist?" Katniss asked casually as she finished the treatment.
Nathan frowned. "He said the psychologist was your idea?"
If Katniss hadn't mentioned it, he might have forgotten about the psychologist altogether.
He didn't need a psychologist.
"Yeah, it was me. I thought your sleep and emotions were unstable last time and needed a psychologist," Katniss explained openly.
She was about to leave after finishing the treatment, but Nathan grabbed her wrist.
His face looked terrible, and he tried to suppress his anger as he said, "I need a psychologist? Don't make random suggestions!"
Katniss's face turned cold.
She tried to shake off Nathan's hand but found his grip was tight. She stepped back, trying to free her wrist.
Nathan held on firmly.
Despite his pale face, he was a man with considerable strength.
Sophia noticed the situation and rushed over.
"What are you doing? Let go of Katniss!" She intervened, hitting Nathan's hand until he finally let go.
Nathan leaned against the hospital bed, his face as pale as a ghost.
"Katniss, are you okay?" Sophia asked, concerned, checking Katniss's wrist.
Katniss shook her head, feeling that Nathan's state was not normal.
"Good, as long as you're okay. This guy, you treat him, and he..." Sophia was indignant, pointing at Nathan, unsure how to scold him.
Katniss said, "Let's go."
Sophia quickly took Katniss's arm and led her out.
As they reached the door, Nathan spoke again, "Don't bully Clara. Clara is innocent."
Katniss almost laughed in anger.
She had thought Nathan was the one with a conscience among the Manners family, but it turned out he was just like the others, completely heartless.
Katniss didn't even bother to respond and walked out. She was disgusted by Clara.
Sophia muttered in confusion, "Clara? That name sounds familiar."
Once outside the room, she suddenly remembered, "Ethan's girlfriend is named Clara."
"Katniss, the Clara he mentioned, is she Ethan's girlfriend?" Sophia asked, puzzled.
Katniss nodded. She wasn't sure if Sophia had interacted with Clara, but she had been disgusted by Clara many times, each time Clara came to see Ethan.
"Is it her? Why would he bring her up?" Sophia asked, noticing Katniss's displeased expression. She quickly added, "Let's not talk about this. How about we go shopping?"
Sophia had originally wanted to take Katniss shopping to show her gratitude.
After this incident, shopping could help lift their spirits.
Katniss didn't refuse. She needed to unwind during her break.
So, under Sophia's arrangement, they headed to the largest mall in Starhaven.
Meanwhile, Ethan drove Clara to the Anderson Villa.
He had been staying at a hotel recently and had no plans to stay at home, nor did he intend for Clara to stay there.
He was just bringing Clara home to meet his family and reassure her.
"Mr. Ethan Anderson, you're back! I'll inform Mrs. Calliope Anderson!" The butler was thrilled to see Ethan's car and couldn't wait to tell the Anderson family.
Ethan stopped the excited butler and asked, "Is my dad home?"
It was Friday afternoon, and Donovan should be home.
The butler shook his head, "Mr. Donovan Anderson isn't home yet, but don't worry, Mr. Ethan Anderson. If he knows you're back, he'll come home immediately!"
Although Ethan hadn't been home for a few days, Calliope and Donovan had been looking for suitable women for him, so they would return home on time.
If Donovan knew Ethan was back, he would rush home. After all, no matter how well they chose, Ethan had to make the final decision.
As the butler thought about this, he suddenly saw a girl get out of Ethan's passenger seat, looking surprised and puzzled. "Mr. Anderson, who is this young lady?"
Clara was a bit dazed, not paying attention to the conversation between the butler and Ethan.
Since the car entered the Anderson Villa, her eyes hadn't left the large house.
Ethan's wealth far exceeded her expectations, something she hadn't sensed from Ethan himself.
It wasn't that Ethan wasn't distinguished; he was just very low-key.
Facing the butler's question, Ethan simply said, "Inform my dad to come home early. Don't worry about anything else."
Then, Ethan took Clara's hand and led her inside.
Clara was caught off guard and bumped into Ethan. Fortunately, Ethan held her, preventing her from falling.
"Did it hurt?" Ethan asked.
Clara shook her head and leaned into Ethan, holding his arm, "Are we just going in like this? I didn't prepare a gift."
She felt nervous and hesitant as they approached the door.
Johnson had mentioned that Ethan's family background wasn't simple, and she had some expectations.
But the Anderson Villa far exceeded her expectations.
The Anderson Villa was impressive, clearly indicating wealth and status.
Ethan's car was casually parked next to a grand fountain, and the butler looked like he had served the Anderson family for years.
In Luminous City, she had never seen such a scene, so she felt a bit intimidated.
The butler, seeing their closeness, quickly ran to inform Calliope.
After informing Calliope, he immediately called Donovan.
So, when Ethan brought Clara inside, Calliope was already sitting elegantly on the luxurious sofa.
"Ethan, you're finally back," Calliope said with a smile, then focused on Clara, "Ethan, who is this young lady?"
Clara nervously bit her lip, not daring to speak, just holding Ethan's arm tightly.
Ethan calmly said, "She's my fiancée."
"Fiancée?" Calliope was shocked and couldn't help but stand up, "Engagement is serious. How can it be casual?"
