Chapter 431 A Nest of Snakes and Rats
Clara let Ryan drag her into the movie theater, moving like a puppet.
Ryan noticed Clara had stopped struggling, his expression softened a bit as he pulled her inside.
Clara was bundled up tightly, her head down, as Ryan led her in, so she didn't see the three girls and one boy ahead of them also getting their tickets checked.
Those girls were Scarlett and her friends, who had decided to bring Tyler along instead of Katniss.
Coincidentally, they were watching the same movie.
Halfway through the movie, Tyler went to the restroom.
Just as he reached the restroom door, he heard a female voice.
He quickly glanced up to check if he had entered the wrong restroom, but the sign indicated it was the men's room.
At that moment, Clara was being pressed against the stall door by Ryan.
Ryan wasn't the type to focus on the movie; shortly after it started, he began to make moves on Clara, who was sitting next to him.
Initially, Clara resisted a bit, but after Ryan made some noise and issued a few nasty threats, she was too scared to do anything but comply.
Even though the theater was dark, Ryan kept pushing his luck, and Clara eventually couldn't stand it anymore and wanted to escape.
Less than halfway through the movie, she said she needed to use the restroom.
She thought Ryan would just tell her to hurry up and come back, and once she was in the women's restroom, she could stall as much as she wanted, and Ryan wouldn't be able to do anything about it.
But Clara didn't expect Ryan's eyes to light up with excitement as he agreed to let her go to the restroom and get up with her.
Ryan even said he would go with her.
This left Clara stunned and confused.
However, she didn't get too nervous.
She decided that once she was in the women's restroom, she wouldn't come out.
But Clara was caught off guard when Ryan didn't let her go into the women's restroom at all.
Taking advantage of the empty hallway, he forcefully dragged her into the men's restroom.
Clara wanted to call for help, but Ryan silenced her with a harsh kiss and then threatened her even more viciously.
"Don't behave? I'll plaster your photos everywhere!"
She was disgusted and terrified by Ryan's threats.
So when Ryan's hands roamed over her body, she could only endure the nausea and keep quiet.
She was too scared that Ryan would post her photos.
Just as she was trying to endure Ryan's filthy hands groping her, she heard a knock on the stall door.
Then, she heard a familiar voice.
"Do you need help?"
Clara trembled all over. She had dated Ethan and had met Tyler before, so how could she not recognize Tyler's voice?
She shrank back, pressing her spine against the door, terrified that the stall door would be opened.
Ryan initially didn't plan to respond to the person outside, but seeing Clara's sudden change in expression and her unusual behavior, he frowned.
He pulled Clara into his arms and opened the door.
"Mind your own business!" Ryan glared fiercely at Tyler.
Seeing that Tyler looked like a student, he squeezed Clara's butt and asked, "Is this your classmate?"
Clara was terrified by Ryan's action of opening the door and clung to him, not daring to look at Tyler.
But even though she didn't look up, Tyler recognized Clara immediately.
After all, the disguise Clara had put on earlier had been removed by Ryan, so Tyler recognized her from just half of her side profile.
Even though he recognized her, seeing Clara and Ryan in an intimate embrace, he chose not to reveal it.
"Do you need help?" he asked again.
Clara buried her head in Ryan's chest, feeling nauseated, but she shook her head frantically at Tyler's question.
Tyler saw her shaking her head, glanced at Ryan, and then turned to leave.
Ryan waited until Tyler left before grabbing Clara's chin and asking, "Did you call him?"
Clara shook her head again, "No, my photos are still with you. How could I dare to call anyone? I don't know him."
If she could call someone, she would have wanted to find someone to kill Ryan.
But she couldn't find anyone to help her, and she didn't trust anyone to do it.
Seeing Ryan's disbelief, Clara quickly changed her attitude and tried to soothe him.
She cautiously closed the stall door, and once it was shut, she abandoned her dignity.
Even though she felt disgusted, she had to do this to calm Ryan down.
If she didn't want Ryan to keep tormenting her and didn't want more people to find out, she had to find a way to get rid of the photos Ryan was using to threaten her.
If she couldn't find someone to take care of Ryan, she had to soften his attitude first and then find an opportunity to delete the photos.
After figuring this out, Clara worked even harder to please Ryan.
"Smart move!"
Ryan was pleased with Clara's efforts and happily took her out of the theater, heading straight to the nearest hotel.
Clara did things she never wanted to do to please Ryan, while Tyler told Scarlett about seeing Clara after they left the theater.
Tyler had a strong impression of Clara because, during the time Ethan dated her, they had noticed something off about her.
If it weren't for Clara's bad reputation from her actions afterward, they might have still had a good impression of her.
When Tyler mentioned Clara, Brynn, who had been quiet, suddenly spoke up.
"She deserves it!"
Brynn used to be lively, but after the incident in Luminous City, she spoke less.
However, when it came to Clara, she didn't hold back her disdain.
Tyler knew about Brynn and Clara's issues and remembered how Clara had schemed to be with Ethan, so he shared Brynn's sentiment.
Sophia didn't have much interaction with Clara, but the few times they did, she didn't have a good impression of her.
Moreover, Brynn was her good friend, and Clara had hurt Brynn badly, so she didn't like Clara.
After leaving the theater, they went to another place to eat, and it was quite lively.
But none of them expected to see Clara again.
Clara was still with Ryan, and they sat at the table next to theirs.
At that moment, they stopped talking and began to secretly observe the table next to them.
Ryan chose the most secluded table so he could take advantage of Clara whenever he wanted.
Scarlett and her friends exchanged glances and kept their heads down, eating quietly as Ryan passed by their table.
Once Ryan and Clara were seated, they lifted their heads.
Originally, they just wanted to hear what was going on between Clara and Ryan, but they didn't expect to hear something related to them.
Ryan asked Clara about Sophia.
"Do you know someone from the Anderson family?" Ryan asked Clara.
Clara confidently replied, "Why would I lie to you? Sophia and I have always been close!"
She was so sure because she knew Ryan didn't understand the Anderson family at all.
And she had dated Ethan before, so even though Ethan and Sophia didn't like her because of Brynn, Ryan wouldn't know that.
She was fed up with Ryan's casual attitude towards her, so she used Sophia as an excuse to make Ryan wary.
However, she didn't know that Sophia, sitting at the next table, frowned upon hearing this.
