Chapter 128 Is There Really Anything You Can't Get

Regina instinctively lowered her eyes, not daring to meet his gaze.

Douglas stopped teasing her.

Regina thought seriously for a while. "With just two days, it's not practical to go too far. How about a trip to Normon City? We could visit Normon University."

Whenever Regina thought about her time in Normon City, remembering how he used to stand silently behind her, watching everything she did, she felt like her heart was going to shatter.

"Okay," Douglas agreed.

He didn't think too much about what she was pondering; he just heard she wanted to go, so they went.

He had Jason book two plane tickets for a 7 P.M. departure that evening.

They packed a few things casually and headed to the airport.

By the time they checked into a hotel near Normon University, it was already the middle of the night.

Regina had slept on the plane, so she wasn't very sleepy when they arrived at the hotel.

The next morning at ten, after having breakfast at the hotel, they walked directly to Normon University.

Normon University was the top university in the country and was also considered one of the most beautiful universities in the world.

In this season, it was already getting warm. Regina wore a white dress and walked hand in hand with Douglas down the tree-lined path on campus. Watching the young students pass by, Regina didn't feel out of place walking with Douglas.

Douglas looked at Regina in her white dress, a thoughtful expression crossing his eyes. "Is this dress new?"

Regina nodded.

The style was similar to a dress she had worn many years ago, the one she wore when Douglas first saw her at Dubbing Club.

The long-strapped dress exuded a gentle design, but on her, it carried a somewhat cool aura, especially when she wasn't smiling, enhancing the perception of that aura.

Douglas still remembered that moment; at first glance, she seemed unattainable.

Not long ago, Regina had asked him if there was anything in this world he couldn't get.

He said yes.

It was her.

She smiled. "But you got me now."

He shook his head.

He admitted that he was very greedy now. Until the moment they died, how could he be sure he had completely gotten her?

Regina's preferred destination was the library, and she had hoped to enter and explore it. However, the library was not accessible to the public, leaving Regina feeling somewhat disappointed.

But for Douglas, it was no big deal.

Regina saw him make a phone call, not knowing who he contacted, and then they got permission from the library staff to enter the building without any obstacles.

"You haven't been here before, have you?"

"No."

But Douglas knew Regina liked to go to the library.

So, he donated a library to Normon University for one year.

Anyway, the Century Group did a lot of charity every year, with expenditures in healthcare, education, technology, and public welfare reaching nine figures. This small gesture did not arouse any suspicion.

As Regina walked down familiar paths, memories flooded her mind.

What made her sad and regretful was that those memories didn't include him.

After touring the library, Regina was planning their next route when Douglas suddenly said, "Shall we go to the North Gate?"

"The North Gate?"

Regina didn't know why he suddenly suggested that until she heard him say that that's where she took her graduation photos.

Regina recalled that day. After the graduation ceremony, wearing her cap and gown, she stand with Philip, taking photo after photo in front of the school's landmark buildings, her eyes filled with light and dreams for the future.

And Douglas, such a dazzling person, stood dimly behind her at that moment.

Regina felt a pang of sourness in her heart. She took his hand, lifting her gaze to meet his as she smiled. "Sure, let's go to the North Gate and take some photos."

Douglas had the same thought. He was a very professional photographer, and every photo he took was stunning.

Of course, in his eyes, it was because Regina was very beautiful. She looked great just standing there, and any casual shot would turn out well.

After he took a few photos of her, Regina immediately ran over.

Then she stopped a girl passing by. "Miss, could you please take a photo of us?"

The girl readily agreed.

Regina held Douglas's arm and stood in front of the iconic building at the North Gate. Her smile radiated warmth and brightness, rivaling the brilliance of sunshine.

"Could you please take one more?" Regina said, a bit embarrassed after the first photo was taken.

"Alright, I'll count to three." The girl raised the phone, ready to take the shot. "One, two..."

As she said 'three,' Regina suddenly turned, stood on tiptoe, and kissed Douglas on his chiseled cheek!

Douglas's body stiffened slightly. When he realized what had happened and turned to look at Regina, he saw her releasing his arm awkwardly and rushing over to the girl.

She took the phone from the girl, repeatedly saying thank you.

As Regina opened the photo album to admire the two photos, Douglas walked over, took her phone, transferred the two photos to his phone, and set the one where she kissed him as his screensaver.

Regina's heart skipped a beat, and he hesitated. "Isn't this a bit too much?"

With so many people at the company, his screen was so conspicuous that it was bound to be noticed.

Douglas chuckled. "If they see it, they see it. I'll just admit our legal marriage then."

He deliberately emphasized 'marriage.'

Regina had nothing to say. She even thought he made a good point.

That day, they spent the whole day at Normon University, ending with Douglas accompanying her to a street food market outside the campus for dinner.

They ate the barbecue she often had during her school days.

By the time they returned to the hotel, it was already past nine in the evening.

Regina was exhausted. After washing up, she was ready to sleep but unexpectedly encountered a tricky situation.

She received two phone calls within five minutes.
