Chapter 56 If You Want My Wife's Things, You Have to Ask Me First

Fred, who Regina provoked, was so angry that he didn't argue with her anymore. "I've said it before, there's no room for negotiation in this matter. My lawyer will be here soon, and you will sign this agreement, whether you like it or not!"
Seeing Fred's attitude, it seemed that he might threaten Regina with a knife later. Fred firmly believes that all of this should be his. He thinks Tasha must have been deceived by Regina because of her age, leaving him with nothing.
But where in the world would such a thing happen? Now, it's a good thing that Tasha was still unconscious, it's better not to wake up again. Fred didn't want Tasha to interfere in any of his affairs. After all, he had told Tasha that Regina belonged to the Valrose family and should be taken care of by Melissa. But Tasha stubbornly refused to follow, and now Regina was so bold as to dare to fight for an inheritance that didn't belong to her.
"Seeing you like this, it seems that you don't have any sincerity at all. I'm telling you, I won't sign this agreement." Regina picked up her phone.
Fred realized that she was going to make a call. 'At this critical moment, she wouldn't be thinking of calling the police for help, would she?' He rushed towards Regina with a cold face, intending to snatch her phone.
Just at that moment, a hoarse and trembling rebuke came, scaring the two of them to turn and look in the direction of the sound. "You scumbag, stop it!"
"Grandma?" Regina never expected Tasha to wake up at this critical moment! She ran to the bedside, only to see Tasha lying completely still, but her eyes were open. It was unclear when she woke up, she might have heard their entire conversation. Countless tears flowed down her wrinkled cheeks. Regina carefully wiped away Tasha's tears with a tissue.
Fred and Madison were both shocked. It took him a minute or two to react, and he quickly walked to Tasha's bedside. "Mom, you're awake? I'm here to see you." Fred felt guilty, but he didn't hesitate at the critical moment.
An angry and painful feeling surged through Tasha's heart, and her voice trembled madly, "Want the house? Dream on! Everything belongs to Regina, everything of mine belongs to Regina!"
'So, she heard everything?' Fred's face became embarrassed, and he made the final confirmation in a calm tone, "So, you had already made a will, deciding to give all your property to an outsider?"
"What outsider!" Tasha found it ridiculous, "She's your daughter."
"Then tell me, did you make a will?" Fred continued to ask, wanting to confirm this matter quickly. 'If there is a will, there is a way to deal with it, and if not, there are other ways to deal with it.'
Tasha was forced into a painful struggle, almost out of breath. But she refused to give in, she has been insisting. Even if there were only half a breath left, she would protect her beloved granddaughter.
"It's none of your business, and you have no share of those properties."
Fred was unwilling to give up and decided to say it directly, "Whether I have a share or not is not up to you."
"You..."
Regina was usually calm and didn't like to argue, but at this moment, she decisively pushed Fred away from the bedside, "Get out!"
Fred staggered back, his face pale with anger. He clenched his fist and raised his hand to hit Regina, but at that moment, a hand reached out from behind and grabbed his arm tightly. The force was so great that Fred felt his bones were about to be crushed. His face contorted as he looked at the stranger in front of him. "Who are you? Let go of your hand!"
Douglas had a faint smile on his lips, exuding elegance and sophistication, his voice cold and ruthless. "If you want to get something from Regina, you have to ask me if I agree first."
In an instant, Fred's mind went blank. Just as he was about to speak, Douglas grabbed his neck, dragged him a few steps forward, and then slammed his head into the coffee table. The glass on the coffee table shattered, and Fred's head was bleeding heavily, with fragments embedded in his face. Watching Douglas's brutality, Fred felt angry and wondered, 'Did Regina marry a ruffian?'
"Ah - help!" Madison was frightened, her scream echoing in the ward. She rushed towards Douglas, "How dare you hit him? How dare you!" But before she could get close to Douglas, Jason grabbed her wrist and easily threw her to the ground.
The originally quiet ward instantly turned into chaos. Regina stood not far away, silently watching the scene. Whenever she fights alone, Douglas always seems to appear in time. For so many years, Regina has never felt such a profound sense of security. Her stiff back and tense nerves gradually relaxed.
Douglas looked at Regina's red eyes, and his mood instantly worsened. He looked at the two people lying on the ground and snorted lightly.
He hasn't done anything yet! "If you like to sign agreements so much, today I will let you sign enough," a thick stack of documents was thrown to the ground in front of Fred, "sign one less document, chop off a finger. Continue to sign until there is nothing left to chop."
Fred did not respond. Douglas said the terrifying words in a casual tone, but strangely, no one dared to doubt that he was joking. Fred saw the words on those agreement documents in his blurred vision. Among them, it was stipulated that he could not inherit a penny of Tasha's inheritance but that all his property could not be passed on to Madison and their children.
They must all be donated to society, and not after his death, but now! What's more, he doesn't even know how Douglas got information about him, and even some of the business secrets in his company are firmly in Douglas's hands. Douglas demanded that he sign one unfair project after another, apparently trying to force him into a corner!
"Who are you?" In Fred's social circle, he was simply no match for someone like Douglas, he couldn't even see his back.
Douglas lowered his gaze, disdainfully examining the person on the ground, and said slowly, "Are you going to sign or not? I don't have the patience to ask a second time."
Fred saw a burly man with a shaved head, his arms covered with tattoos, holding a sharp military knife, bending down, aiming at his hand. Fred's whole body became weak, ignoring everything else, and tremblingly picked up the pen that had fallen to the ground.
At this critical moment, of course, survival is the most important thing. It is essential to protect his fingers! It was only then that Fred remembered that, according to the law, contracts signed under threat and intimidation would be considered invalid! What he didn't know was that in Douglas's hands, these agreements were unchangeable even in the face of the law. Watching Fred obediently sign each document, Douglas snorted coldly. 'Huh, useless and cowardly person.'
