Chapter 156 Ambiguous Growth

'In the parking Lot.'

Regina's heart tightened, and she instantly blushed, feeling like she couldn't breathe.

The time Douglas referred to was when they returned home from work on Monday.

After driving to the parking lot at home, they spontaneously had sex in the car.

Fortunately, during that period, they were living in a detached villa on Springfield Road, so even if they were making love crazily in the car, no one would notice.

At this moment, with Douglas' deliberate reminder, those provocative images flooded Regina's mind like a vine growing wildly in her heart.

The car was too small, and Douglas' body occasionally couldn't stretch out.

So, the driver's seat was reclined, and she sat on top of him, taking the initiative.

In an instant, Regina really couldn't handle it. She felt her body go weak from the heat flowing by her ear.

Beneath the calm surface, there was actually an undercurrent.

Every casual move Douglas made teased and tugged at Regina's sensitive nerves.

Regina barely sat up straight, glancing around from time to time, probably because Douglas was sitting next to her. She noticed that everyone's eyes occasionally glanced in her direction.

But coincidentally, every ambiguous move by Douglas cleverly avoided everyone's eyes.

The second round of the game began.

This time, Regina luckily escaped.

But in the third round, Lucia used a flawless trick as the card controller. She first let Regina draw the King of Hearts, and then, seeing Regina hesitate for a while before finally choosing 'Dare,' she forced Regina to draw the card she wanted her to draw.

"How could this be? You have to drink three glasses of wine." Lucia looked at Regina with a troubled expression. "Regina, your luck tonight is really not good."

For most people, three glasses of wine wouldn't be a big deal.

Regina had a low tolerance for alcohol; even a small increase in its content could make her dizzy after a single glass.

Lucia remembered that at the last party, Regina made a fool of herself after drinking, so the most important thing tonight was to get her drunk first. Then, the embarrassing moments would follow, wouldn't they?

Lucia thought to herself, feeling quite clever.

Regina stared at the three glasses of vodka on the table for a few seconds.

Just a few seconds, before she even started thinking about what to do next, the hand beside her had already reached out.

Douglas picked up one of the glasses, tilted his head slightly, and drank it all in one go.

Then, he picked up the second glass.

He drank it just as decisively.

When he reached for the third glass, everyone seemed to wake up from a dream!

Regina instinctively pressed down on his hand, accompanied by Lucia's shocked and puzzled voice. "Mr. Semona, what are you doing?"

Douglas' sexy Adam's apple moved slightly, and he casually smiled and said, "I'm drinking for her."

Lucia must have gone crazy; she blurted out, "Mr. Semona, why are you drinking for Regina?"

It sounded like there was a hint of doubt in her voice.

As soon as Lucia finished speaking, the atmosphere in the room suddenly quieted down, as if you could hear a pin drop.

Douglas held the glass in his left hand, his index finger gently stroking the rim of the glass, a faint smile on his lips.

"Why are you so curious? I've done this kind of thing many times. A boss should act like a boss."

What kind of reason was that?

At first, everyone found it unbelievable.

But upon closer thought, as Douglas said, he seemed to have done this kind of thing more than once.

For example, at the party when he first became the president of the Century Group, Regina lost a game and went to him for a belt, and he helped her out quite decisively.

Later, when the company's marketing manager, Marshall, sexually harassed someone, he immediately sent Marshall to jail, giving the victim an explanation.

And now, he was drinking for Regina.

As far as they knew, there were three instances in total.

But without exception, every time Douglas showed care, it was for Regina.

This was very odd.

But exactly what was odd was that everyone couldn't quite put their finger on.

Regina realized she had unconsciously held Douglas' hand, and she felt awkward. She pretended to be calm and withdrew her hand, seemingly calmly saying, "Mr. Semona, thank you for your care."

After a moment, she added, "This wine is very strong, and you drank it too quickly."

Douglas just looked at her and smiled without saying much, then drank the third glass.

This little episode made everyone uneasy.

But the game had just started, and it couldn't end so casually.

Seeing that the fourth round was about to begin.

Regina thought, 'It wouldn't be me again this time?'

Fortunately, Lucia didn't do anything this time. After all, Douglas' intention to protect Regina was so obvious just now. Although she was insanely jealous, she didn't dare to keep targeting Regina.

Once or twice might not be obvious, but three or four times might get noticed.

But what Lucia didn't expect was that in the fourth round, Douglas was the person who drew the King of Hearts and had to choose between Truth or Dare!

To be honest, Truth or Dare at the table was meant to be exciting, and sometimes it could be abrupt and offensive.

Lucia held the stack of task cards, clearly hesitant and afraid to hand them to Douglas.

Although everyone was nervous, Douglas didn't seem to care as he held the King of Hearts.

After a while, someone next to him asked, "Mr. Semona, do you choose Truth or Dare?"

Douglas casually said, "Dare."

Lucia was stunned.

She thought, 'Dare. Douglas chose Dare, but the dangerous one was me! If I drew some random card for Douglas, wouldn't that be too offensive?'

Lucia gritted her teeth and decided to cheat again.

As she was accustomed to the game, she could nearly memorize the tasks on the hundreds of cards. So, after thinking for a while, she chose a task that was the simplest, easiest, and least offensive to Douglas.

Douglas casually drew a card from the stack.

Lucia took the card from Douglas' hand and exclaimed in surprise, "Call a woman and say 'I love you' three times!"

This task was really not difficult.

Because Douglas was married.

So deciding whom to call should be an easy choice for him, right?
