Chapter 20 Addicted to Her
Douglas held Regina tighter. They tightly cuddled up together. His kiss was hard. Regina could only look up to kiss back. Regina felt her whole body burning hot, and she tightly hugged his strong back with her wet hands, crumpling his white shirt in the process.
She could hardly breathe at that moment; Douglas finally ended the kiss. He was already addicted to Regina, and his rationality shattered. Douglas's warm fingers gently touched her red lips, momentarily infuriating him.
"I'm sorry. I just kissed you," he said. Watching Philip disappear, Regina took a deep breath, thinking, 'Douglas probably just wanted to help me out of trouble.'
Feeling a little bit dizzy, Regina replied, "It's okay. It's not your fault."
Douglas chuckled softly, his voice husky, "But I might have kissed you too hard. Your lips are red." Regina licked her slightly sore lips, thinking, 'Maybe he's not good at kissing?' But she couldn't say it directly.
Regina carefully maintained Douglas's dignity. "It's okay, Mr. Semona. You excel in other ways, so you don't need to worry about this trivial matter," she said.
Douglas remained silent, finding her words interesting, and smiled. He looked at Regina tenderly.
"Don't explain to me. Otherwise, I might think I can continue to bully you," he said.
Regina's eyes widened innocently. "Bully?"
Douglas thought, 'Yeah.' 'I want to dominate you in bed.' Douglas suddenly felt a strange excitement. He forced himself to calm down, looking at Regina, who had become super addicted to him.
"Mrs. Semona, let's go home."
As it was really late, Regina and Douglas didn't go to his usual place. Instead, they went to Regina's home. Of course, it wasn't Regina's request. Douglas took the initiative to suggest going to Regina's place. Regina's apartment consisted of two rooms and two living rooms. The rooms were clean and cozy. Regina was used to living alone, so there were no men's daily necessities in her home.
Leading Douglas inside, Regina turned to him and said, "You can rest here for a while. I'll go downstairs to buy some necessities for you." Regina thought, 'I have to buy Douglas a towel, toothbrush, and slippers.' 'But how should I buy his clothes?'
Just as Regina hesitated, Douglas said, "You don't need to go. Paul will take it." Paul was Douglas's driver. Regina nodded.
After a moment of daze, she asked, "Can I take a shower first?" Regina's home had only one bathroom. Douglas didn't have any other clothes to change, so she thought it would be better for her to freshen up first. Otherwise, it wouldn't be good for them to use the bathroom at the same time. Regina walked into the bathroom.
Hearing the sound of the door locking, Douglas sensed her caution and raised his hand to press his temple hard. Regina's house was small, so Douglas could clearly hear the sound of her showering in the bathroom. Douglas found it hard to control his excitement. So, he walked to the balcony, lit a cigarette, and exhaled a puff of smoke. Douglas didn't usually smoke, only occasionally when he felt helpless.
Suddenly, he remembered the time he smoked the most. It was after that night that he had sex with Regina. He was conflicted and in pain because he felt he had used a wicked means to make his long-cherished wish come true. That night, Douglas smoked until dawn, and the cigarette butts piled up in the ashtray. Douglas could never explain what happened that night. He had also been thinking about how to tell Regina the truth. Douglas didn't know if Regina would think he had raped her. The thought of the word "rape" felt like a sharp knife in Douglas's heart.
Regina took a forty-minute shower. When she came out, Paul had brought Douglas's things. Some of his items and clothes were neatly packed in a black suitcase. Regina thought, 'When I stayed at Douglas's house, we slept in different rooms. So, in my house, we should also stay in different rooms.' Therefore, Regina led Douglas to the guest room.
"The room is a bit small. But you only need to stay here for one night."
"One night?"
"Or you can stay as long as you want."
Douglas didn't say anything. He became distracted because of what he remembered. He stooped down to take out a set of clothes from the suitcase, but something unexpected happened. Something fell to the floor. Douglas and Regina both looked at the floor and saw that it was two boxes of condoms. Regina was stunned, but he calmly picked up the two boxes of condoms. Douglas thought, 'Will she believe me if I say I didn't pretentiously prepare the condoms?' At that moment, Douglas's phone rang.
He picked it up and found a message from Charles.
['Douglas, did Paul deliver the condoms? There are two boxes, each with three condoms. Shouldn't two boxes be enough? I think Regina would be scared if I sent too many condoms to you. You have to control yourself.']
Douglas now knew that Charles had prepared these condoms. After leaving the Peace Club with Regina, Charles became curious about Douglas's whereabouts, so he contacted Paul. Paul had worked for Douglas for ten years, so he knew that Charles was Douglas's bosom friend, so he honestly told Charles everything.
When Paul heard that he had to deliver Douglas's things to Regina's house because Douglas was staying there, Charles immediately asked Paul to offer two boxes of the largest-size condoms to Douglas! Charles and Douglas grew up together, so Charles knew that Douglas needed the largest-size condoms.
Looking at the stunned Regina, Douglas threw the condoms into the drawer.
"You don't have to worry. If you don't want to have sex with me, just tell me."
Regina didn't know what kind of person Douglas thought she was. Regina had told Douglas that she had a long-term relationship. But Regina and Philip only had one night of intimacy. Regina had very little sexual experience. Thinking back to that night, Regina felt pain. She closed her eyes in agony.
When she couldn't think, she heard Douglas say, "Since we're married, we should continue our lives happily." Regina didn't understand why Douglas wanted to live happily with her. In fact, she had been prepared to divorce him a long time ago.
Regina spoke with sincerity, "You're remarkable. But I can't ascend to the heights where you reside. If two people aren't on the same level, both will grow weary."
"I'm willing to stoop down to meet you where you are," he replied.
Regina fell into silence.
