Chapter 136 But She Doesn't Want Me Anymore

Sandra couldn't remember how many days it had been since she last saw Philip.

To be precise, the time she spent with Philip was only a few days.

Sandra looked at Philip, who appeared in front of her again, with great joy. For a moment, she seemed to be mesmerized, forgetting her original purpose for coming here, and just stared at him with shining eyes.

Philip undeniably possessed a handsome and refined countenance, and presently, he held a prominent position.

A man who was rich, powerful, and good-looking naturally had a captivating aura.

Observing Sandra's continued silence, Philip abruptly closed his laptop and glanced up at her, displaying impatience as he queried, "What do you want?"

"Philip..." Sandra's voice was soft. "Have you been very busy lately? Why haven't you contacted me for so many days? If it's because I kept calling you and annoyed you, and that's why you blocked my number, then I won't next time..."

"I asked you what you wanted. You said it was about Regina."

Sandra didn't expect Philip to bring up Regina so directly.

Philip's particular concern for Regina evoked unfamiliar emotions within Sandra, an amalgamation of both jealousy and unease.

Sandra was stunned for a while and didn't react, just reflexively said, "I called her yesterday and accidentally found out she got married. She even said... she married Douglas, the president of the Century Group!"

Sandra sneered. "Of course, I didn't believe it, but then she implied that you knew about it."

The more Sandra spoke, the more unbelievable it seemed.

"So, I want to ask you, is it true?"

Philip's face showed no expression. He picked up a cigarette from the desk, lit it, took a heavy drag, then squinted his eyes slightly and asked meaningfully, "How would I know?"

Hearing this, Sandra felt a surge of joy.

She thought Regina was indeed talking nonsense.

Choosing to believe Philip, she naturally thought Regina was lying.

"But speaking of which, Philip, do you have some kind of relationship with Regina?" Sandra recalled carefully. "When I first got together with you, she called and asked who my boyfriend was. I didn't say your name, but I vaguely felt she knew something."

Sandra was perplexed by another matter.

One day, Sandra accidentally found a call record with Regina on her phone, showing that she had initiated the call.

Throughout the year, Sandra seldom called Regina, and she distinctly recalled the specific reasons behind each of those infrequent calls.

She didn't remember making that call, so she checked the call record time carefully.

Then, she immediately remembered clearly that on that day, at that time, she was with Philip in a hotel.

So, she thought the only possibility was that Philip used her phone to call Regina.

By the time Sandra realized and wanted to ask Philip about the details, she couldn't reach him anymore.

He broke up with her without a word!

The more she thought about it, the more she struggled. Sandra took a deep breath and looked at Philip, who remained indifferent in front of her.

Philip finished his last drag, stubbed out the cigarette in the ashtray, and still looked calm. "I dated your sister for six years. Didn't she ever tell you?"

Regina hadn't told Melissa and Sandra anything about Philip for six years, not because she didn't love him, but because she loved him too much.

She knew Sandra's personality.

If Sandra had known about Philip early on, she would have made a huge fuss about their relationship.

Philip's words were like a thunderclap in Sandra's ears!

Her mind buzzed, and after a long struggle, she finally asked, "You dated Regina for six years?"

"Yes, six years." Philip's eyes finally showed some emotion. "But she doesn't want me anymore."

From that sentence, Sandra sensed Philip's humility and lowliness.

It didn't sound like something he would say.

But Sandra could see and hear that he was serious.

Instantly, Sandra's heart was in turmoil.

Jealousy grew like a virus.

Her hand, hanging by her side, clenched involuntarily, even breaking her carefully manicured nails, but she didn't seem to feel the pain.

"So, you were with me..."

"Being with you was just because she blocked all my contacts and changed her number. I couldn't find her, so I used your phone to call her."

Of course, Philip had also thought that since Sandra and Melissa had an inseparable connection with Regina, being with Sandra might give him some opportunities to reconnect with Regina.

Philip admitted that even now, he was still thinking about how to make Regina pay attention to him, how to make her come back.

"Philip." Sandra's last bit of fantasy shattered. She wanted to say something, but Philip's eyes turned cold again, like a knife cutting through her heart.

"So, is this all you have to say about Regina?"

Sandra's eyes reddened, and she laughed bitterly. "Do you want to hear more?" she asked, her voice tinged with self-deprecation.

There was indeed a lot he wanted to hear.

But he knew he couldn't get anything more from Sandra.

"In short, the fact is I still love your sister."

Philip thought he might be crazy to reveal such 'love' in front of Sandra.

It felt like he was humiliating himself, wanting many people to know he loved her, truly loved her.

"And you, you'd better not have any ill intentions towards your sister, or I won't let you off."

Sandra's jealousy and hatred towards Regina were clearly written on her face, and Philip's sharp words pierced her thoughts.

But his warning didn't make Sandra restrain herself; instead, it fueled her jealousy even more.

Just as Sandra's emotions reached a boiling point, she heard Philip's indifferent voice dismissively stating, "You can leave now."

Sandra stood stiffly, unwilling to leave after finally getting a chance to see him.

Philip leisurely turned his chair, looking thoughtfully at Sandra.

"If you don't want to leave, you don't have to."

Sandra's eyes lit up, and she said excitedly, "Philip."

"Shall we sit down and discuss a collaboration?"
