Chapter 202 I Have A Bold Idea

Douglas's deep eyes locked onto Regina's faint smile.

It was a pretty smile, no doubt, but something about it made Douglas feel all kinds of uneasy.

He pulled Regina close and sighed. "If you forget me, it's gotta be 'cause I didn't do enough to make you remember me without a doubt."

Regina shook her head like crazy, thinking, 'Why does he always blame himself for everything?'

Regina wanted to say something, but it felt like her throat was being squeezed shut, stopping any words from coming out.

After a long silence, she suddenly grabbed her phone and started snapping pics of the fireworks, recording a bunch of videos.

When she was filming, it was like she was making a mini-documentary. "Hey, Nancy, say hi."

Hearing Regina, Nancy looked at the camera and waved all excited. "Hello, I'm Nancy."

Nancy, Regina's four-year-old niece, was a cute little munchkin who treated her like a bestie.

Then, Regina pointed the camera at Nicole, "Nicole."

Nicole was still lost in Douglas's cheesy romance and hadn't caught on yet. She blinked her big, pretty eyes, looked at the camera all confused, and after a bit, slowly asked, "Regina, what are you doing?"

"Just trying to learn how to take photos and edit videos. Haven't been working lately, and I'm bored out of my mind. Was even thinking about signing up for a photography class to kill time."

Regina used to hate taking photos, but then she realized photos were the best way to capture life and memories. She wanted to document all the important people and moments in her life.

Nicole joked, "Why waste money on a photography class? Isn't Douglas pretty good at it? Just ask him to teach you."

Regina laughed and agreed, "True."

Douglas was great at taking photos, or more like, he was great at taking photos of Regina. This made Nicole super jealous.

Nicole played along with Regina to finish the video shoot.

Regina looked at the lively and charming Nicole in the video and mentally tagged her, such as her name, age, personality, background, and other things.

Then, Regina's phone camera panned to everyone in the square. She made sure to get a clear shot of each person and thought of 'tags' for them too.

She figured, when she went back and edited the video, she'd add those tags, hoping that when she saw them in the future, she'd remember everything about them.

She knew it was kinda silly. But with things being the way they were, this was the only way she could hold onto those memories.

Finally, she strolled over to Douglas with her phone.

The fireworks lit up the night sky with crazy colors. Douglas stood there in the cold winter wind, tall and solid like a tree. His face was something else, even his stance was a sight for sore eyes.

Regina said, "Your turn, Mr. Semona."

Douglas knew she was recording, but he looked a bit miffed. He lazily asked, "Mrs. Semona, why am I the last one?"

"Because you're the hero. This video's got a special spot for you." Regina looked at Douglas through the camera, her voice all lively, "This is Mr. Semona, the guy who loves me the most, and he's my most beloved husband. I'm gonna love him like crazy for the rest of my life."

She thought she would never forget him again.

Regina's words sounded like a love confession, or maybe she was just talking to herself. Either way, to Douglas, her words were sweet enough to make him feel happy.

He walked over to Regina, took the phone from her, and handed it to Nicole.

Regina and Nicole hadn't figured out what was happening when Douglas kissed Regina right in front of everyone.

Nicole suddenly got it. Douglas wanted her to record this moment. So, she quickly raised the phone to capture their passionate kiss, covered Nancy's wide-open eyes with one hand, and shouted, "Oh my, this is not for kids!"

A bunch of young folks played in the cold night until midnight before heading back to rest.

Regina sat on the bed after her shower, quietly looking at the photos and videos she'd taken earlier.

Seeing the scene of Douglas kissing her and hearing Nicole's frantic voice-over, she couldn't help but laugh.

At that moment, Douglas came out of the shower too. He walked to the bed in a black bathrobe, smelling faintly of mint.

Noticing Regina's phone screen out of the corner of his eye, he raised an eyebrow and asked, "Mrs. Semona, are you reminiscing?"

Regina knew he was teasing, but she played along with a "hmm" and joked, "Yeah, I can't get enough of it."

Douglas's intense gaze fell on her, sensing something was up.

Regina met his gaze with fake composure and said, not sure if she was joking or serious, "I actually have a bold idea."

"What?"

"Since we can film kissing, then..." She hesitated for a long time, like she was having a mental battle, and finally, she said while blushing, "Can we film when we make love?"
