Chapter 709 Teddy Has Fans Now
Austin said, "I thought your kid was already a year old. He's just now starting on rice cereal?"
Vera said, "You don't have kids, so you don't get how exhausting it is. When you're tired, time feels like it drags on forever."
Noah said, "Why don't you video call me?!"
Warren said, "Look at Teddy, he's so eager he's trying to grab the bowl."
Vera said to her dad, "Dad, Teddy thinks the rice cereal tastes bad, but he still loves to grab it."
Even Vera's obstetrician asked, "Has Teddy learned to sit yet?" Everyone knew about Patrick's rule for Teddy, which was learning to sit before you can eat.
Patrick posted a rare update on his News Feed!
When everyone saw Patrick's post, they couldn't believe it. They even checked his profile to make sure it was really him and not an imposter.
The photo Vera had taken showed Patrick's large hand next to Teddy's tiny hand. Even without a caption, the watch on the wrist made it clear it was Patrick's hand.
Since Vera didn't have a Facebook account and Patrick only posted a picture of himself and Teddy holding bowls, Ian asked, "Mr. Olteran, why are you fighting with Teddy over food?"
In the photo, father and son were both reaching for an empty bowl.
Scott said, "Ian, do you think maybe Mr. Olteran is feeding Teddy?"
Ian was speechless.
The news that Patrick's son could eat rice cereal somehow got screenshotted from Vera's News Feed and sold to the media. Since it only showed Teddy's hand, the Olteran family didn't bother controlling the information.
That evening, the photo went viral because Teddy could eat, and everyone was excited. "Look, the baby's hand with his dad's hand, so heartwarming!"
"Mr. Olteran feeds his kid at home? What about the nanny?"
"Of course Patrick feeds his son. Just because they're rich doesn't mean they don't put in the effort and care for their kids themselves."
"I can't forget the image of Mr. Olteran carrying his baby while buying a diamond ring for Mrs. Olteran. So loving."
"Dad is so handsome, I'm really curious what the baby looks like. Rumor has it Mrs. Olteran was the most beautiful woman in school. I'm dying to know what the baby looks like."
The more they protected Teddy's face, the more curious everyone became about his appearance.
Someone replied, "He's super cute, chubby, and adorable. But he cries a lot, and his mom is exhausted every day."
Then, many "insiders" described Patrick's son as "chubby" and "a crybaby."
Employees at the Olteran Group also gossiped online, "Mr. Olteran's son is the cutest, softest baby I've ever seen, but he really does cry a lot."
"Mr. Olteran brings the baby to the office sometimes, and meetings can't proceed because Teddy starts crying. Another Randall had to take over the meeting."
"Another Randall? Who's Randall?"
Randall's identity started getting dug up online.
Some even speculated that the future of the Olteran Group might not be inherited by Patrick's biological son but by his nephew.
Before the Olteran family could react, the internet was already in an uproar, demanding that the six-month-old baby inherit the company.
Vera used her small account to comment, "Patrick is still alive and well, there's no need to discuss inheritance right now."
Vera's small account got flooded with comments from Teddy's fans. "Don't you have any sense of crisis?" "The Olteran family was built by Mr. Olteran, so his son should inherit it." "The Olteran Group belongs to Teddy. Are you a paid troll?"
Vera complained to Patrick, "Patrick, Teddy's fans are attacking me~"
Patrick, who was taking a bath, chuckled, his expression indulgent. His slightly upturned lips reflected his contentment. "What should I do? Should I argue back for you?"
"Better not." Vera took out her frustration on Teddy, rubbing his belly. "You haven't even shown your face, so why do you have fans? If you keep this up, I won't give you any milk."
After Teddy was cleaned and moisturized, Vera played with him on the bed, making him laugh. She kissed him, and Teddy laughed even more.
Patrick could hear the joyful sounds of mother and son from the bathroom.
Vera teased Teddy's chubby cheeks, smiling as she said, "Say 'Mama.'"
"Want to find your dad? Come on, Mom will take you." Vera carried Teddy to the bathroom door and taught him, "Knock on the door and call for your dad."
The Olteran family had their moments of warmth, while the Chase family had sleepless nights.
The next day, the Chase family car headed to the MS Group, dropping off Ellie and Molly. Sebastian then took his father to work before finally returning to his team.
Vera and Susan were also driven to school every morning. The latest exam results were out, and as expected, Vera was the top of her class.
Feeling guilty, she went to Patrick's office to make a request.
At the time, Teddy was sitting in his dad's lap. When Vera arrived, she placed him on the hard desk. Then she sat on Patrick's lap, one arm around his neck, taking Teddy's spot!
Patrick, worried she might not be stable, held her waist and thighs tightly, his seductive voice whispering in her ear, "So proactive today?"
In the midst of the intimate atmosphere, Vera ruined it by saying, "Patrick, next time you give me answers, make sure to get two wrong. Being first place draws too much attention, and the teacher keeps calling on me." She pouted.
Patrick asked, "Isn't being first place good?"
Vera shook her head, "No, it's not."
Patrick chuckled, holding Vera instead of Teddy.
When he wasn't busy, Teddy was always with him. Even when Vera was occupied, she would come by to hold the baby.
Molly also started working at the MS Group. Within half an hour, she was familiar with everything and dove right into work.
Sebastian's schedule normalized, and he greeted the security guards at the entrance. Seeing that Sebastian no longer worked night shifts, the guards assumed he had made up with Molly and asked, "Mr. Chase, why hasn't Molly been around? I miss her."
Sebastian smiled, "She's working now. I'll bring her by on the weekend."
To show her affection for Teddy, Molly splurged on a luxurious stroller for him, complete with music and toys, and very comfortable for sleeping.
She spent a month's salary without hesitation to buy it for Teddy.
When she happily delivered it, her entire family complained.
Shawn grumbled, "We can barely hold him, and you buy a stroller? Now Teddy won't let us hold him at all."
