Chapter 743 Randall Says He Is Not Jealous
Randall said, "You say I don't show you enough affection. Do I look like some thug to you, always being rough with you?"
Susan shook her head and mumbled softly, "But you don't usually like it either."
Randall said, "Speak up."
Susan shook her head again, staying silent.
After scaring Susan a bit, Randall got to the point that was bothering him. "So, what's the deal with this John guy? How do you know him? How many times have you talked? How's his studying? And you were asking another guy questions earlier, who was that? What's your relationship with him? He looks pretty dull. And weren't there two other guys there too? Who was the one sitting diagonally across from you? Why was he sitting there? And the other one, you called him class president, he organized the study session, why did he call you? Are you two close? Why haven't you mentioned them to me before?"
Even though Randall had only been there for a few minutes, he had a sharp memory for faces.
Susan was speechless.
"Talk." Randall leaned back in his chair, looking at Susan, ready to get his answers.
Susan asked gently, "Randall, do you understand how I feel when Teddy talks and it's just noise in my ears?"
Randall quickly replied, "Of course, Theodore's always babbling nonsense, who wouldn't get a headache? Wait, we're talking about you, why bring up Teddy?"
Susan nodded, "Because all the things you just said made my head feel noisy."
Randall realized Susan was indirectly complaining about him.
He lightly knocked on Susan's head.
Susan pouted, covering her head with her hand, frowning, "You asked too many questions, I can't remember them all."
"One at a time!" When it comes to keeping track, men have the best memory. "Start with John."
"He's just a classmate. When we were studying earlier, there were no seats left, so he sat next to me. I didn't remember his name, which was awkward. Then he sent a friend request, and I couldn't refuse." Susan explained, then suddenly realized something, "Randall, you're jealous!"
Randall said, "No, I'm not!"
"You are! If you weren't, you wouldn't ask me. You said you weren't mad, but you are. If you weren't mad, you wouldn't have hit me." Susan insisted, "You're jealous, you're jealous."
Randall stubbornly said, "Nonsense, I'm not jealous."
"Randall, be honest, I won't laugh at you." Susan said innocently, "And if you're not jealous, then there's no need to introduce the other three guys, since they're just classmates and you aren't jealous."
Randall realized he had walked into Susan's trap.
Randall uncomfortably admitted, "I'm just a little upset. Even though those guys, one looks like a stick, one like a barrel, one tries to be cool but is lazy, and one is just barely lighter than a shadow."
Susan didn't understand that men belittling other men was a sign of jealousy, she just naively defended her classmates, "They're not as bad as you say."
Randall seriously discussed their relationship, even in love, couples need to adjust to each other.
Randall continued, "Look, you have a boyfriend now, so you wouldn't be interested in any of them, but that doesn't mean someone might not have feelings for you."
Randall added, "I'm not a controlling guy. We're dating, but I'm not gonna make your social life revolve around me or make your Facebook only have me as a male friend. Talking to another guy isn't betraying me. I'm not here to control your thoughts and social life. Susan, remember, in college, you'll have a wide social circle—your classmates, your friends. I support you being friends with them. That doesn't mean I don't love you."
Susan listened, half understanding.
Randall briefly said, "You can have male friends, but I don't want you to have a male friend who secretly likes you."
Susan, half confused, asked, "Randall, you mean you want to know what my relationship is with those guys. If it's just classmates, you're not mad, but if someone likes me, you are, right?"
Randall said, "You got it. Now explain who the other three guys are."
Susan seemed unsatisfied with Randall's jealousy but still explained honestly, "One is the class president, the one I asked questions to is the study committee member, and the other guy is just a classmate. I don't even know his name, and I was too embarrassed to ask."
"A classmate for a year and you don't know his name?"
Susan said, "Well, Vera and Molly are about to graduate, and they don't know all their classmates' names either."
Mentioning Vera and Molly, Randall moved to the next issue, "Alright, tell me about blocking me."
Susan bit her lip, feeling guilty, not looking up.
Randall said, "Did Vera teach you that, or was it Molly?"
Susan shook her head, "I decided to block you myself."
Knowing his girlfriend well, Randall knew Susan was devoted to him and wouldn't block him unless influenced by Vera or Molly.
"Was it Molly?" Vera was busy with her baby, complaining in the group chat, probably not in the mood to give advice.
"No, it was just me." Randall's sharp eyes stared at Susan.
"Okay, it was Molly. Molly said she always uses this trick on Sebastian. So I tried it." Who knew she'd get caught.
Randall pinched Susan's cheek, "You've got some nerve."
Susan pouted, "But I was mad at the time."
Randall looked at Susan's pouting lips, swallowed, and finally let go of her.
Susan looked down, fiddling with the edge of the bed, feeling down.
Randall clearly wanted to kiss her but didn't.
Randall went to the table, grabbed a bottle of water, and took a drink.
He pulled out his phone and messaged Sebastian, who was at work. "Check Molly's phone, see if you're blocked. You're welcome."
Sebastian looked at the message, deep in thought.
Susan was still sitting at the edge of the bed, not checking her phone, just fiddling with the blanket, lost in thought.
Randall put down his phone and walked over to Susan, "Do you want me to kiss you?"
Susan looked up suddenly, not understanding, "What?"
"Alright then." Randall said, pulling Susan up, holding her close, and kissed her on the lips.
