Chapter 845 Pranking While Asleep

When Randall opened his computer to control his girlfriend's screen, Susan had no idea what Randall was typing. Before she could even react, her entire browsing history instantly appeared right in front of her.

Randall scrolled down. "Started watching at 4 PM, kept going until 9:30 at night. Last night you were still watching at 2 AM, and the night before you watched until 3 in the morning... One series per day, Susan. You're even more impressive than Theodore."

Susan blinked in disbelief. She looked at what she had just deleted - didn't they say once you delete it, there's no trace?

"Randall, the browser lied to me. It said once I deleted it, no one else could see it." Susan was complaining to her boyfriend.

"That's for other people. Don't you know what your own boyfriend does for a living?"

Susan bit her tongue and said nothing.

Randall leaned back in his chair, looking at his girlfriend who was sitting there silently, her face all round and chubby from eating well at home. "Pack your bags."

"Randall, I'll just be a burden if I go."

Randall said, "Well, who told me to pick a 'burden' as my girlfriend? I'll suffer through it myself."

He glanced at the time. It was getting late. "Let's forget about today. Go to bed early. Tomorrow I'm checking your luggage to see if you've packed properly."

Randall had been wanting to find a way to get Susan to come over, and this was his chance. He definitely couldn't back down now.

Susan puffed out her cheeks, looking at Randall with pitiful eyes. She had no idea that watching TV shows would end up making her go to Zandonick earlier than planned.

"Randall, I don't want to go."

Randall said, "Want to or not, you're coming. If you don't come back soon, your boyfriend's going to get snatched up by someone else."

Susan said, "Randall, what date are you coming to pick me up?"

Randall smiled with satisfaction. "I'll come on the 22nd."

After hanging up, Randall wasn't in the mood to study anymore. He didn't enjoy these meaningless social gatherings today, but these business-type men seemed to really like them.

Randall picked up his phone and looked at the latest photos of Teddy that Vera had shared in the group chat.

Teddy had gotten smart. He knew that when mom and dad held him, they'd put him down on the ground. So later, whenever his parents held him and tried to make him stand on his own for a bit, he'd curl up his little chubby legs, tilt his face back and cry pitifully, just refusing to touch the ground.

Vera pulled at Teddy's legs, surprised that despite looking so small, he was quite strong. "He's got some strength in him."

It wasn't until Patrick picked Teddy up again that he nestled into his arms, his two little short legs clamping tight around Patrick's body, his little hands obediently hugging Patrick's neck, giving him a few nibbles to express his affection before finally settling down.

Patrick patted his son's back to comfort him. Unexpectedly, the lazy little guy yawned, but still wouldn't leave his dad's shoulder.

His eyes blinked and blinked. Slowly, his eyelids couldn't stay open. He blinked twice more, then gradually closed his eyes.

Randall looked at his phone screen and commented, "Teddy fell asleep before even getting any exercise."

Molly had also seen the video from Patrick's family. She watched while commenting, "Teddy is definitely lazier than me."

Timothy was really curious. He especially liked Teddy from the Olteran family. Every time his daughter had an interesting video on her phone, he'd come over to watch. This time, Molly handed her phone to her father again and went to Ellie's study. "Mom, I need to tell you something."

Ellie said, "If it's important, sit down. If it's nothing, get out."

Molly was speechless.

She sat down in front of Ellie. Ellie was actually surprised. "What important business could you possibly have?"

Molly said, "Mom, please don't be biased against me. That's discrimination."

Ellie said, "This is me knowing you. Just say what you need to say. I'm busy."

Fortunately, this batch of fabric produced by Ellie's factory hadn't been under a commercial contract. Otherwise, she would have lost more than just this amount - she'd have to pay compensation and give refunds too.

"Mom, shouldn't you look into Jonathan?"

Ellie said, "He's not even at the company anymore. I've already moved him to a shell company. Why are you asking about him?"

Molly frowned. "I just suddenly got suspicious. Even though I don't have evidence, the way Marigold looked at me made me feel like my suspicion makes sense. Jonathan started in the marketing department, then went to the purchasing center. You wanted to sideline him, so you slowly divided up the power in his hands, step by step pushing him away from the company's core, and finally sent him to a branch office. He must resent you for that. And he did have that position... Mom, I just feel like something doesn't add up, but since we're being suspicious anyway, why don't you suspect Jonathan too?"

Ellie frowned.

Molly immediately said, "I shouldn't have any grudge with Jonathan, but I think he could be listed as a suspect."

Ellie said, "If you're trying to say he used to embezzle through purchasing, and now our company produces everything ourselves so he can't embezzle anymore - there's a contradiction there. He's not in that position anymore."

Molly could tell from Ellie's tone that she didn't really believe it was Jonathan.

After all, he was Ellie's own nephew. She didn't say more. "Oh, well I've said my piece. Mom, I'm going now."

Ellie nodded.

After Molly left, she saw her father downstairs still looking at her phone. "Molly, come look at Teddy. Vera's teasing the sleeping baby again. The poor kid is crying with his eyes closed because he's so tired."

Molly went over to look. Vera was using a fork to hold a piece of fragrant meat near her sleeping son's nose, tempting him.

Teddy turned his face away, refusing to smell it.

Vera deliberately moved the fork over again. Teddy twisted his face into his dad's arms.

Vera pinched her son's chubby little face, making him smell it. "Aren't you a little foodie? Why won't you wake up?"

In the video, they could hear Patrick's voice. "Stop teasing him. In a minute he'll be crying with his mouth wide open. If he doesn't get enough sleep and starts crying, he'll be hard to comfort."

Vera said, "It's fine. He just eats well, sleeps well, and is easy to take care of."

As soon as she finished speaking, Teddy's lip quivered. As if refuting his mom's words, he opened his mouth and cried loudly. "Ah. Waaah, Mommy."

Vera quickly ate the piece of meat and picked up her son who was crying and calling for her. "There there, Mommy won't tease you anymore, won't tease, won't tease. My baby, sleep well, be good now."

She had to comfort the baby she herself had made cry.

Patrick said to her, "Aren't you just too bored?"

He got a glare from his wife.

Molly watched Teddy cry, his little mouth opening so adorably. She missed him. "Dad, I'm going to see Teddy. Are you coming?"

Timothy felt too embarrassed to go - in the video it looked like they were at their own home.

Timothy asked, "Why don't you just kidnap him for me?"

"I can't kidnap him anymore. They're all on guard against me now."

Molly grabbed her pajamas, getting ready to go out. "So, you're not planning to come back tonight?" Timothy asked.
