Chapter 833 Four-leaf Clover

Susan stood there, puzzled. "Where am I going?"

"To the front gate. Someone's delivering something for you."

Delivering something? What could it be? Susan wondered.

She hung up the phone, still in her pink and white silk nightgown, and slipped on her bear slippers, ready to head out.

Ulysses came downstairs. "Susan, where are you off to?"

"To the gate. Randall said someone’s delivering something for me."

It was early morning, and the house staff were waking up, turning on the sprinklers to water the lawn. The morning light was gentle, like a child just waking up, soft and endearing.

Susan walked through the yard, taking a shortcut to the gate.

As she approached, she saw a boy she hadn't seen in a long time standing there, hands behind his back, smiling at her.

It had been a while. Randall watched as Susan emerged from the greenery, like a fairy stepping out of the woods. She saw him and froze.

"Randall..." Susan murmured his name.

A smile spread across her face, and she ran towards him in her slippers, shouting, "Randall!"

"Open the gate," Susan told the security guard.

As she ran up, the guard opened the gate, and Susan rushed into Randall's arms, hugging his waist. "Randall, I missed you so much."

Randall raised an eyebrow. "Oh?"

He didn't quite feel the same level of longing from her.

Susan looked up at him, her chin resting on his chest. "Randall, I really missed you."

Randall wrapped his arms around her, one hand cradling her head, looking at her delicate face. "Since you ran to me, I guess I can reward you with a kiss. Close your eyes."

Randall was bold.

Right there at the Morales Mansion gate, he held Susan and kissed her passionately.

Their lips met, and Susan nervously clutched Randall's shirt, closing her eyes to meet his kiss.

When the kiss ended, Susan buried her face in Randall's chest, blushing. "Randall, you must be tired from driving."

"It was pretty tiring. So, how are you going to make it up to me?"

Susan hugged her boyfriend's waist, pouting in his arms. "I told you not to come, but you insisted. Now I have to worry about you. In a few weeks, my vacation will be over, and I'll be back."

Randall replied, "If I didn't come, I wouldn't know if my girlfriend still loves me."

"I won't change my mind. My heart is all yours." Susan's words made Randall lean down and give her another quick kiss.

After they parted, Randall took a small box from his car. "Hold out your hand."

Susan extended her hand. "Randall, is it a gift?"

Randall opened the box, revealing a bracelet. It was a red woven string with a small silver charm shaped like a four-leaf clover, with a few lucky beads on either side.

Randall gently put the bracelet on Susan's wrist, tightening the string. The charm was a small piece of turquoise.

Randall examined her wrist. "Perfect fit. I guessed the size just right."

After getting his first paycheck, Randall had gone to the mall alone, visiting several jewelry counters.

"Sir, are you looking for a bracelet? Is it a gift or for yourself?"

Randall nodded. "It's a gift for my girlfriend and my mom."

"For a girlfriend, I recommend this four-leaf clover charm bracelet, symbolizing luck and safety. For a mom, a necklace or earrings would be more suitable."

Randall thought it made sense. When asked about Susan's wrist size, he couldn't say for sure, so he held out his hand, measuring with his thumb and forefinger. "Every time I hold her hand, it's about this size."

The sales assistant was momentarily stunned but then helped him weave a bracelet on the spot based on his measurement.

It turned out to be a perfect fit.

Susan looked at the gift Randall had given her, cherishing it so much she didn't want to wear it. "Randall, thank you, but I'm afraid I'll lose it."

Randall said, "If you're afraid of losing it, wear it every day. Got it?"

"I got it, Randall. I won't even take it off when I shower."

Randall affectionately tapped her nose. "Go change your clothes. I'll take you out to eat."

Susan grabbed Randall's hand. "Randall, let's go home."

As they reached the front yard of the Morales Mansion, before they even entered, Ulysses heard his daughter shout, "Mom, Dad, Randall missed me and came to see me!"

Randall felt a bit embarrassed.

Inside, Randall ran into Ulysses. Randall greeted him politely, "Mr. Morales, I heard from Susan that she was back, so I came to see her."

Ulysses glanced at the time. "How did you get here?"

"I drove."

Ulysses was silent. That meant he had started driving around two or three in the morning.

"Have a seat. How's work going?"

Susan made sure her boyfriend was settled before quickly running back to her room to change clothes. Then she went to her parents' master bedroom. Sadie had just woken up and was still in bed.

Susan leaned over the bed and whispered, "Mom, I'm going out on a date. Randall came to see me. Dad will take care of you today."

Sadie turned over and hugged her. "Why did Randall come?"

Susan grinned. "He must have missed me." She raised her wrist to show off. "Look, Randall gave me this. Isn't it pretty?"

Sadie looked at her daughter's wrist. "This four-leaf clover is cute. It suits my daughter. Randall has good taste."

Praising Randall made Susan even more excited. "Randall said it brings good luck."

After chatting with Sadie for a while, Susan said, "Mom, call me if you need anything. I'll come back to be with you. Take care of yourself and the baby. I'm leaving now."

She went downstairs just as Ulysses and Randall finished talking.

"Have lunch at home before you go out," Ulysses suggested.

Susan shook her head. "No, we're going out for something delicious. Dad, make sure you stay with Mom. I'm leaving."

Randall and Susan left, and Susan happily took her usual spot in the passenger seat. Even if they went nowhere, just sitting in the car with Randall made her happy.

"What do you want to eat?"

"Start the car, Randall. I'll guide you to some great local food."

Randall laughed. "Didn't you study computer basics?"

Susan bit her lip. She had been taking care of her mom and hadn't studied much.

"Time's running out. You need to get ready."

"Oh. I'll study hard when I get home. Randall, have you been studying well?"

"I don't need to study hard to be smarter than you."

Susan pouted. "I don't believe that."

In the morning, Susan took a selfie with Randall. Unfortunately, the big guy didn't cooperate, so only his profile was in the picture. But anyone who knew Randall would recognize him.
