Chapter 768 Sister's Love

The bed in the bedroom was empty; no one was there.

Patrick immediately left the room and went to the bathroom to look for them, but he couldn't find them there either.

Patrick's sleepiness vanished instantly. He returned to the bedroom and grabbed his phone to call Noah.

On campus.

"Teddy, stop trying to grab my food. This isn't for you; it's Noah's breakfast. Don't waste it. Seriously, stop."

Noah couldn't handle Teddy anymore.

Holding Teddy was manageable for a short while, but after some time, it became too much.

His phone rang, and Noah tilted his head back, quickly chewing and swallowing the sandwich in his mouth. One hand was still holding onto the sandwich, "My phone's ringing."

This morning, after taking leave, he had planned to take his nephew back to the hotel. However, his vanity gene kicked in, and he ended up walking around with Teddy, showing off his little darling to everyone he knew.

Eventually, they reached the cafeteria, and Noah got hungry. He decided to go in and pack two breakfasts to take back for Vera and Patrick. He planned to eat his own breakfast on the way.

But here's the thing! People who don't have kids don't realize that you can't eat in front of them.

So, the scene unfolded: Noah holding Teddy with one arm, a takeout bag hanging from his elbow, and his other hand stretched out, chewing his breakfast.

Teddy's face turned red with hunger. At first, he lunged forward, trying to bite Noah's mouth directly. Then, he tried to grab the food from Noah's mouth. When that didn't work, he started clawing at Noah's breakfast, his fingers getting a bit of cheese and bread, which he promptly tried to shove into his own mouth.

Not allowed to eat, Teddy started crying loudly on the street, his little mouth wide open, his cries echoing through the quiet campus.

A crying child, a ringing phone, Teddy unable to stand on his own, and Noah still holding the half-eaten sandwich.

Noah realized how exhausting it was to take care of a child.

He jogged to a trash can and reluctantly threw away his unfinished burger. Then he went to a nearby bench, sat down, and reached into his pocket for his phone. Teddy, crying with tears and drool, rubbed his face against Noah's, his voice full of grievance.

The crying was actually quite melodious.

When Patrick called for the third time, Noah answered, "Patrick, save me."

Half an hour later, the couple arrived at the school.

Teddy was sitting on Noah's lap, holding a snack wrapper in his little hands, chewing on it, his eyes fixed on Noah's phone, watching a video of himself crying from the night before.

"Teddy," Patrick called out.

Seeing Patrick, Teddy immediately dropped the snack wrapper, raised his little hands, and cried out for Patrick.

"How did you and Noah sneak out this morning? Usually, you make some noise in the morning. Why was my 'little sparrow' so quiet today?" Vera, having just woken up and not washed her face, ran out.

Teddy leaned against Patrick's neck, his little body slumped, crying.

Noah handed the breakfast to Vera and Patrick.

They all returned to the hotel together.

"Vera, Patrick, I took leave."

Upon learning that Noah had taken a short leave to spend time with the family, Vera's temper flared. She set Teddy down and started hitting Noah in the hotel. "We came to see you, and you dare to miss your classes? Get back to school this afternoon!"

Vera's hand hurt from hitting. Patrick felt distressed. Noah was hurt all over from being hit.

Only Teddy, who would rather miss his milk than miss Vera's action scene.

The hotel was lively for a while.

In the afternoon, Vera escorted Noah to school, holding his arm like a prisoner.

Classmates greeted Noah, "Didn't you take leave?"

Vera pressed Noah into the front row, "Sit here and study well. I'm going out to have fun." Her fierce demeanor was noticed by her classmates.

Noah asked, "Are you even human?"

Vera raised her hand and slapped Noah's shoulder. "Say that again?"

Noah clutched his shoulder and took a sharp breath, "Who has a sister like you, acting like a shrew?"

Vera punched Noah's other shoulder and replied, "This is a sister's unique love. Be grateful; others wish they had a sister like me."

"Who in their right mind would want you... Vera, can you stop hitting me? I'll study, okay?" Noah surrendered to Vera's fists.

Vera's chubby face puffed up, looking adorably similar to Teddy. She stood there, her fierce look not scary at all. "Send me your class schedule. I'll pick you up at the classroom door when school ends."

Noah asked, "Do you even understand it?"

Vera, full of confidence and bravado, said, "Do you think Patrick only knows how to make money?"

Noah admired Vera for saying that, "Then I'll send the schedule to Patrick."

Vera, addicted to hitting, slapped her brother again, "You send it to Patrick, and Patrick will show it to me."

After a while, Vera finished her business, clapped her hands, and happily left Noah's lecture hall.

Noah couldn't understand why a girl would choose to learn Taekwondo.

He waited for Vera to leave before sneaking to the back row with his book.

Surrounded by classmates from various countries, they couldn't understand the siblings' conversation. Some boys were attracted to the cute girl.

"Noah, who was that girl? Our club is having a dance tonight. You should invite her," a dark-haired guy next to Noah tried to get close.

Noah turned back, wary of his classmate, "Levi, what are you up to?"

"Which department is she in? She's cute and beautiful, very attractive."

Soon, another person behind Noah patted his shoulder, "Me too. Such a beautiful girl, I can't forget her. Levi and I want to pursue her together. Noah, please help us."

The classmates thought Vera was an international student from some department and wanted to find her.

Noah turned to look at them, incredulous, "Are you sure? She has violent tendencies!"

"A girl, even if she hits people, is cute and charming. On the contrary, I'm looking forward to her hitting me. I think I might be sick," Levi said.

Noah scoffed, complaining in his native language, "I thought she was only considered good-looking in our country, but it turns out foreigners like her too."

Before he could explain, the old professor entered the classroom. Seeing Noah, he greeted warmly and asked, "Where's the little baby?"

Noah replied, "His parents took him away."

The old professor's disappointment was evident, "That's too bad. I really liked that crying baby."
