Chapter 720 My Girlfriend Is Here

Randall swallowed hard and gently coaxed, "Go back."

Susan stubbornly shook her head. It was because of her that Randall had been kicked out. "I'm sorry, Randall."

"You don't need to apologize to me. I should be thanking you. Susan, I've never felt as relieved as I do right now. You voiced my fears and made me face Patrick. Thank you for giving me the strength."

Susan's voice trembled with tears. "Randall, I want to go with you."

"Go back," Randall repeated gently.

Susan shook her head again, clutching Randall's shirt, afraid he would leave her behind.

Randall reassured her, "I'll come back. My girlfriend is here, I have to come back for her."

Susan's face turned red. She had suspected it, but she wanted to hear it confirmed. "Randall, you said your girlfriend, where is she?"

"Right in front of me."

Randall called out to Vera and Molly, who had been hiding in the corner, "Come out."

Vera and Molly sheepishly walked out. Despite being married women, they felt embarrassed for spying on the intimate moment.

"Randall, Patrick was just really angry. He'll calm down in a couple of days. I'll take Patrick to Cherry Villa, and you can come back," Vera suggested.

Randall knew Patrick's temper well. He pushed Susan towards Vera and Molly. "Take care of my girlfriend for me. I'll come back for her."

Randall got back in his car, feeling a sense of relief as he drove away, watching the three of them get smaller in the rearview mirror. It was the most relaxed he had felt in years.

Vera and Molly were unsure how to react.

Susan was confused, not having agreed to be called Randall's girlfriend.

She looked at Vera and Molly, her face flushed with a mix of fear and shyness. "Molly, Vera, Randall just said I'm his girlfriend."

Vera put an arm around Susan's shoulders. "Yes, we all heard it. Let's go back."

Susan hesitated. "I'm scared to go back."

She feared her family would blame her.

Vera comforted her, "It's okay, I'm here with you."

Molly added, "I'm not leaving either. Don't worry, no one at home will blame you."

However, Vera and Molly were unsure whether to announce the new relationship to the family.

Back in the Olteran Manor living room, Sebastian was trying to calm Shawn down. "Dad, Randall has his own dreams and ideas. It's a good thing. He's still young, let him explore for a few years. If it doesn't work out, he always has us to fall back on."

Patrick was holding Teddy, who had stopped crying after realizing no one was paying attention to him. He sulked in Patrick's lap.

The three women entered the living room, with Susan hesitating at the door.

Cindy stood up, noticing Randall wasn't with them, and her eyes showed a hint of disappointment.

Vincent called out, "Vera, Molly, Susan, come over here and tell us about Randall."

The three of them walked forward.

Molly wasn't afraid, knowing Sebastian would support her.

Vera felt intimidated by Patrick's stern gaze.

Susan was scared, feeling responsible for the situation and being a guest in their home.

"I'll go first," Molly said, a bit nervous but reassured by Sebastian's support.

"Earlier, Vera and I went out to eat with Randall. He mentioned wanting to work in cybersecurity and start his own business. We didn't really know what to say because we didn't understand it. Randall didn't want us to tell you because he wasn't sure about it himself. So we kept it to ourselves."

Vera nodded in agreement.

Molly continued, "We talked with Randall in the backyard for a while, and Susan overheard us. She was curious and asked more about Randall's plans."

Molly detailed the conversation they had in the backyard, including Randall's feelings towards Susan.

Shawn's expression softened as he looked at Susan, understanding her earlier confusion.

"Randall was pretending to be happy. He drank a lot last night and was just trying to keep everyone's spirits up today," Susan defended Randall.

Cindy, feeling for her son, said, "This isn't something to take lightly. Randall hasn't studied anything about computers. How could he know about cybersecurity?"

Susan was about to reveal Randall's secret but stopped when she saw Sebastian, a police officer. "Randall knows a lot, and he's really good at it," she said quietly, her last bit of defiance.

Vera glanced at Patrick, lowering her head in fear.

Sebastian and Molly tried to comfort everyone. Susan bowed apologetically, "I'm sorry."

Shawn and Cindy quickly helped her up. "Silly girl, you don't need to apologize. If it weren't for you, we wouldn't know what Randall really wants. Even though it was unpleasant, at least we know the real Randall now," Cindy said, not blaming Susan, knowing she cared for Randall.

Without Susan, Randall might have kept his dreams to himself forever.

Thinking about Randall's fake happiness, Cindy felt a pang of guilt for not knowing her son's true feelings.

Patrick stood up and approached the three women. He looked at Susan and said, "Go rest." Then he took Vera's wrist and led her upstairs.

Molly went to Shawn, trying to soothe him. "Dad, I think Randall grew up in our shadow. Let's give him some freedom and love this time."

Shawn, leaning on his cane, said, "I'm going to my room."

"Dad!" Molly called, but Shawn didn't look back.

Vincent stood up and looked at Susan. "Don't blame yourself. No one here is angry with you."

He then turned to his wife. "Cindy, let's go to our room."

Soon, only three people were left in the living room.

Molly hugged Susan's shoulders. "Don't worry, I'll stay with you for a while. Randall said he'd come back for you, and he will. Go rest."

After seeing Susan in her room, Sebastian took Molly's hand. Molly sighed, "Sebastian, I won't be going home for a while. Don't stay up late at the station just because I'm not home. Make sure you get enough rest."

Sebastian followed her to her room. "I'll stay here with you. I'll drive you to and from work every day."

"That sounds good. With Randall gone, Susan is probably too scared to ride with Patrick. We'll have to give her a ride to school."

Sebastian nodded. "Okay."
