Chapter 810 Did Not Pick Up Molly

Teddy's little mouth was wide open, still asking for more food, chewing away. To the elders of the Chase family, he was the epitome of "adorable."

Max and Zoey stood on either side, hands behind their backs, their eyes filled with envy and affection.

Molly, noticing the fondness in the elders' eyes, laughed and said, "Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa, how about I give you a baby too?"

Ellie replied, "You're still young. What's the rush? Just bring Teddy over for us to play with now and then."

Teddy wasn't interested in watching his mom's video; he just wanted to eat.

Vera hung up the call and dialed Patrick instead, "After work, go to the Chase Manor and pick up Teddy."

"Why is Teddy at the Chase Manor again?"

Vera, munching on snacks, said, "Molly felt bad that I scolded him and took him away."

Patrick asked indulgently, "Where's my little foodie?"

"At home, eating snacks and waiting for you. By the way, honey, don't go to the Chase Manor empty-handed."

Listening to Vera's thoughtful reminder, Patrick felt warm inside. He smiled, hung up the phone, and continued working.

When you're in a good mood, everything seems to go smoothly for some reason. Since getting married, Patrick's overseas business ventures had expanded significantly, requiring more frequent trips to stabilize the market.

"Mr. Olteran, are we booking the flight for next week's business trip abroad?"

Patrick thought for a moment, "No need. I'll ask Vera if she wants to come along." He then instructed his assistant, "Jack, prepare some gifts and put them in my trunk. I'm going to the Chase Manor to pick up Teddy."

"Why is Teddy at the Chase Manor again?" Even Jack was puzzled by Teddy's frequent movements.

Patrick replied, "Molly took him."

After work, Patrick arrived at the Chase Manor, carrying generous gifts.

Even though he was just there to pick up Teddy, he represented Molly's family, and the proper etiquette was necessary. Vera's advice was spot on.

"Mr. Olteran, you didn't have to bring gifts," Ellie said, standing up to greet him.

After some polite exchanges, Patrick looked at Teddy crawling on the floor and clapped his hands, "Teddy, time to go home with Dad."

Seeing Patrick, Teddy excitedly crawled quickly to his shoes.

Patrick picked up Teddy and straightened his clothes. "Did you have fun at Molly's house today?"

Teddy climbed up Patrick's face and nibbled.

"Mrs. Chase, we'll be heading out now."

Ellie tried to persuade them to stay, "Why don't you stay for dinner?"

Patrick politely declined, "Vera is waiting for him at home. She's been thinking about him all afternoon." He looked at Molly, "Are you coming?"

Molly grabbed her bag, "Mom, I'm leaving too. If Sebastian comes back, let him stay here. I'm going to see Vera."

With that, she got into the back seat of Patrick's car.

Sebastian arrived home after dark, carrying street food. "Molly?"

Ellie replied, "She went to the Olteran Manor. You'll be staying alone tonight."

Sebastian put down the food he bought, "I'll go to the Olteran Manor and bring her back."

Ellie stopped him, "Don't. She doesn't visit often. Let her stay there for once. Otherwise, it feels like we're fighting over Molly."

"Molly always argues with my father-in-law at the Olteran Manor," Sebastian said, getting ready to leave.

Ellie reassured him, "Parents may argue with their children, but it's out of love. They might say they don't welcome Molly, but you know Shawn loves having her around."

Sebastian thought about it and realized it was true.

Reluctantly, he decided not to go. "I bought some food. You and Grandma can have it."

"Your grandma is asleep, and I've brushed my teeth. Put the food in the fridge; Molly will definitely want it when she gets back."

Sebastian went upstairs.

Back at the Olteran Manor, Teddy sat on Vera's lap, his chubby face turned up, "chatting" with her. The sounds he made were delightful.

Vera held Teddy with one arm. "Did you go to Sebastian for help?"

Teddy babbled.

Vera chuckled, "You have quite the support system. Cindy and her husband aren't enough; you also have Molly and Sebastian."

Teddy's perfect timing made everyone in the living room laugh heartily.

Cindy and her husband returned, had dinner with Teddy, and then went to the store to buy him fruits, milk, and bread before leaving.

Randall initially didn't want to go with his parents, but seeing their disappointment, he agreed to make them happy.

Molly checked the time and quietly went to call Sebastian, "Are you home?"

"Yeah, I just showered and am getting ready for bed. What about you?"

Molly sat cross-legged in the backyard, "We were just talking about Teddy. You should rest early; I'm going to play with Teddy."

Sebastian responded, but the call lingered. "Molly, is there something else?"

"No, that's it. Bye."

Molly hung up and leaned back in her chair, staring at the tent ceiling, sighing.

"Sighing isn't like you," Vera said, coming out with Teddy in one hand. She walked to the backyard and handed Teddy to Molly. "I noticed you were distracted earlier. What's going on?"

Molly adjusted her posture, holding Teddy tightly, and confided, "Vera, Sebastian didn't come to pick me up tonight."

"So what if he didn't? What's the big deal?" Vera was puzzled.

Molly frowned, "It's not right. He usually picks me up after work or stays here if I come back. Tonight, he didn't mention picking me up, even after I called him."

Vera shrugged it off, "Maybe you were inseparable when you first got married, but now that the honeymoon phase is over, you're like an old married couple. Molly, why are you suddenly so sensitive?"

Molly shook her head, holding Teddy's chubby head, "Vera, I wouldn't be sensitive normally, but guess who I saw today?"

Vera shook her head, "Who?"

"Sebastian's first love."

"Wasn't his first love you?" Vera was more shocked than if she had heard Patrick had a first love.

Molly waved her hand, her emotions running high, but she kept her voice low to avoid being overheard, "No. Sebastian dated in college, and his ex-girlfriend is a cop. Before he pressured me into marrying him, I always felt he still remembered her. He treats me like a little sister."

For the first time, Molly's face showed worry.

Vera was skeptical, "Are you sure? Don't accuse Sebastian without proof."

"Vera, don't be naive. Sebastian has always been a prominent figure. It's not surprising he dated."
