Chapter 754 Sebastian the Bastard

Teddy was fast asleep in the car when Patrick changed his diaper.

Four guys watched, impressed. "Mr. Olteran, how long did it take you to get this good?" Changing a sleeping baby's diaper without waking him was no small feat.

Patrick looked at the sleeping Teddy with affection. "No practice needed. When your own kids are born, you'll pick it up in no time from the nurse."

Because it comes from the heart.

When Teddy woke up, he found himself nestled in Vera's warm, sweet-smelling embrace. He burrowed deeper into her arms, seeking comfort.

"Sweetie, Mommy's right here. Go back to sleep, Teddy."

Vera had rushed home right after her exam when she got the call.

As soon as she walked in, she saw the living room filled with toys, clothes, and baby formula. "Did you guys bring the whole baby store home?"

She took Teddy to the bathroom, wiped him down, and then came back out.

Talking about the day's events, the four men were full of apologies. "We didn't expect shopping to be so addictive. Teddy cried, and we didn't realize he was hungry. We forgot about the diapers, too. He went through three outfits, and we didn't change a single one. The sales assistant had to help, and he cried his heart out. We even took him to the police station."

Vera, always considerate of everyone's feelings, said, "It's okay. Teddy's just practicing for us. My husband and I treated him like a toy at first, and we still do. Plus, he visited the police station with me when he was very little."

Now that he's older, the people at the police station don't recognize him anymore.

Patrick looked at the now-awake, chubby Teddy and asked with a smile, "Teddy, are you happy? You have so many godfathers who love you."

In Patrick's hands, Teddy looked like a messy baby, with tear stains on his face. But in Vera's hands, he was clean and adorable in no time.

Teddy was back to his clean and fresh self from the morning. After a good sleep and a full belly, he didn't cry when his godfathers held him.

After spending the day together, he was familiar with them.

Sitting in their laps, he chatted with them.

At dinner, everyone was charmed by Teddy again.

Later, Vera started singing. "Teddy is like this. When you don't see him, you miss him terribly. When you do see him, he can be quite noisy. He looks adorable, but taking care of him is exhausting. He cries, and the whole family suffers. He's sweet for three minutes, delightful for five, and if you love him for more than ten minutes, you're amazing."

Teddy opened his mouth wide and took another bite of meat puree, his little appetite well satisfied. Vera's song was just her way of venting, so let her sing.

After dinner, Vera took Teddy and, like a tour guide, showed Patrick's friends Teddy's wardrobe. "Welcome to Teddy's closet."

There was a thick stack of clothes, almost too many to fit.

They had bought seven or eight more outfits today.

Vera pointed to the left side. "These are all unworn, tags still on. If any of you have a son in the future, I'll pack these up and send them to you, brand new."

Ian asked, "Why doesn't he wear these clothes?"

Vera replied, "Teddy has more clothes than Molly. Even if he wears two outfits a day, he can't get through them all. Before he can wear them all, he outgrows them, and we have to buy new ones."

Teddy looked up at his new clothes, amazed at how many there were.

Around nine o'clock, the four men left.

As they were leaving, they kissed Teddy. "We're heading out now. When you're a bit older, we'll take you out to play."

Teddy reached out and hugged Joshua, not shy at all.

Patrick said to Vera, "You and Teddy go to bed. I'll see them off."

"Okay, go ahead."

Standing at the door, Vera taught Teddy, "Remember the 'bye-bye' gesture Mommy taught you? Say goodbye to your godfathers."

Before Vera could finish, Teddy raised his little hand and waved at the cars.

Vera was delighted. "Teddy learned to wave goodbye! This is the first time he's done it on his own."

As they left, they all waved back at Teddy, reluctant to part.

After seeing them off, Patrick returned home around ten.

"You cried yourself all the way to the police station. Even your mom wasn't that impressive."

Vera, resting her head on her hand, looked at Teddy's sleeping face. "Of course, he has to be better than his mom."

"You're quite proud."

Vera said, "I'm proud of everything Teddy does."

Before bed, Vera suddenly said, "Patrick, after my exams, let's go abroad to visit Noah. We've been saying we would, but never have. I miss him."

"Okay, I'll arrange my work in the next few days. After weaning, we'll get your vaccinations updated."

Vera took a moment to realize Patrick was talking about the vaccines she started before getting pregnant with Teddy but never finished.

"Let's sleep. I have another exam tomorrow, then two days off, and then two more exams."

Molly, who didn't have exams, had performance reviews. That night, she complained to Sebastian, "Others only have to manage eight stores. I have to handle eighteen, and next month Mom wants me to take on twenty-five. It's driving me crazy."

Sebastian said, "Nothing is easy. You're being groomed as the heir, so of course, your tasks are heavier. By the way, I saw Teddy at the police station today. Let's go to Cherry Villa for dinner tomorrow and see him."

Molly asked, "Who took Teddy to the police station?"

Sebastian recalled Scott's look when he left and asked, "Molly, do you know Scott?"

"Who is he? Is he handsome?"

Sebastian replied, "Patrick's friend. Not handsome!"

Molly was certain, "Then I don't know him."

The students' exams were staggered, with different subjects at different times.

After her exam, Vera went to find Susan. "Do you have plans tonight? Molly is going to Cherry Villa. You should come to my place to see the baby."

Susan sighed, "Vera, I have an exam tomorrow. I need to study tonight."

In the evening, Sebastian picked up Molly, and they arrived at Cherry Villa together.

Molly held Teddy. "Vera, without Randall here, it feels like something's missing."

Vera, folding Teddy's clothes, said, "Missing the soul."

Molly later asked, "Vera, are Patrick's friends handsome?"

Vera looked at Sebastian, who was far away, making sure he couldn't hear. She leaned in and whispered to Molly, "Handsome."

Molly said, "Sebastian is such a jerk. He lied to me again."
