Chapter 790 Mr. Olteran's Plan

The next morning, while Vera was still sound asleep, Teddy's chubby little hands peeked out from under the covers. He stretched, raising his tiny fists, and glanced at the sleeping Vera without waking her. Then he turned to the empty side of the bed and called out, "Dad."

Patrick, who was at the sink, heard the sound and quickly came out. "It's just after six, buddy. Why are you up again?"

Seeing Patrick, Teddy beamed with a big smile.

As Teddy reached out to tug Vera's hair, Patrick scooped him up and took him to the sink to brush his teeth. "If you wake her up, you're gonna get in trouble again."

Watching Patrick brush his teeth, Teddy's big eyes were full of curiosity. He thought it was something tasty and opened his mouth, wanting a bite.

"This is a toothbrush, not food. If you grab Dad's toothbrush again, you're gonna be in big trouble."

Teddy babbled incoherently early in the morning.

After a while, Patrick, annoyed by Teddy's chatter, quickly finished washing up and took him out.

He placed Teddy in the stroller and took him to the gym.

Teddy sat in the stroller, holding his bottle, leisurely drinking formula while watching Patrick on the treadmill, "struggling" to work out.

"You're still young. When you get a bit older, I'll get you a mini treadmill, and you can join me for early morning runs."

Teddy threw his bottle away.

At seven o'clock, most people were waking up, getting out of bed, and having breakfast. Only Molly was still deeply attached to her bed, reluctant to part.

Seeing that she was about to oversleep again, Ellie said, "Sebastian, go wake her up. She won't have time for breakfast otherwise."

Sebastian went to the kitchen, grabbed something, and headed upstairs. He first pulled Molly's arm, trying to get her out of bed. Molly, still with her eyes closed, mumbled, "Sebastian, just five more minutes."

Sebastian sighed, "I don't know how you can sleep so much."

He took the ice-cold bottled water he had prepared and placed it directly on Molly's thigh.

A scream echoed through the house.

Zoey asked Ellie, "Ellie, what did Sebastian take upstairs?"

Ellie looked towards the bedroom, "I have no idea."

In the bedroom, Molly curled up her legs, grabbed the cold bottle, and angrily yanked Sebastian's collar, stuffing the bottle into his shirt. "Sebastian, you don't wake me when you should, and you torture me when you shouldn't. What are you trying to do?"

Sebastian pulled out the bottle from his shirt, catching it as it rolled out. "If you couldn't wake up because of me the night before, I wouldn't wake you the next day. But if you slept normally and still can't get up, I have plenty of ways to wake you."

Molly, fuming, pushed Sebastian and went to wash up.

Soon, everyone saw what Sebastian had used.

"Using ice to wake Molly, only Sebastian could think of that," Zoey admired.

Molly complained, "If Sebastian were in ancient times, any prisoner caught by him would be out of luck."

The Chase family had all finished breakfast, but no one had left the table. They all sat in the dining room, keeping Molly company as she ate.

"From childhood to now, you could never wake up for school. When you were little, your dad drove you. When you grew up, Sebastian took you. Now that you're working, your mom still has to take you."

"Mom, I'll take you."

Ellie urged, "Hurry up and eat, you're running out of time."

Molly lowered her head and ate.

Being watched by family while eating meant that even if you were full, they thought you had only taken a few bites. "Eat more, it's a long morning. This isn't enough," Zoey said, handing Molly a big meat sandwich.

Molly split it in half, giving the rest to Sebastian.

Ellie added, "Eat more vegetables."

Timothy peeled an egg and placed it on Molly's plate. "Where did you go yesterday? You came back so late."

Ellie was curious too.

Molly replied, "Mom, I need to talk to you about something later."

After breakfast, back in the car, Molly still had a few clothes she brought back yesterday.

On the way, she talked to Ellie about the previous day's events. With elderly family members at home, she chose to discuss it in the car to avoid worrying them.

"That's the situation. I tried everything last night, and it worked as expected. Today, I'm going to check a few more stores," Molly explained while driving.

Ellie, sitting in the passenger seat, inspected the clothes Molly had. "The manager hasn't reported back to me yet."

Molly said, "I check every week. If the new product sales are poor, it will definitely be reported at next month's meeting. Mom, have Dad pick you up after work today. I'm going to the Olteran Manor after work to have Vera and Cindy try on the clothes. We have different styles, so I want to see how they look on them."

Ellie nodded, "Tell the sales manager to find me at the office."

"Have your secretary arrange it. I act as your driver, your employee, and your errand runner, doing three jobs for one salary. Do you have a clear conscience? And I'm your daughter."

Molly's serious tone quickly turned playful.

Ellie retorted, "Do you spend any less money each month?"

"I hardly touch the money in my account."

"That's because Sebastian's account is empty every month."

Molly was speechless.

At the office, Molly got to work.

Randall was also at his desk, with the manager in the office. He opened his computer, and a colleague behind him greeted him, "Randall, is that a stock photo or your girlfriend in your profile picture?"

Randall replied, "It's my girlfriend."

The colleague asked, "Really?"

"Of course," Randall said, pulling out his phone and opening Susan's News Feed to show a photo of them together. "See, it's my girlfriend."

"Wow, we thought it was a stock photo. We were going to ask which celebrity it was so we could use it too."

Randall chuckled and turned back to his work.

The weather was scorching, and Vera wanted to go out. Teddy insisted on going too. If he didn't see Vera, he would start crying with his pacifier in his mouth.

Vera, helpless, knelt in front of Teddy, watching him drink his milk. "What did you do with your dad this morning? I didn't even see you when I woke up."

Vera recorded a video to tease Susan with Teddy.

Molly braved the heat, checking store after store.

Sebastian sat in a large conference hall, attending an opening ceremony and listening to speeches.

Susan, in her living room, wearing pajamas, knelt on the carpet with a tablet, studying for her second-level exam. Beside her were four plates of assorted fruits, each different from the other.
