Chapter 775 Theodore's Father

Patrick's threat made Shawn think to himself, "Guess I'll just play on silent mode!"

Patrick stepped aside. "Hand over your phone. It's confiscated."

Shawn glared, fuming. "You little punk, you think you can boss me around?"

Patrick extended his hand, his gaze unwavering.

At the door, Vera and Molly were eavesdropping, pressed against the wall.

Susan noticed them and tilted her head curiously, walking over. "Aunt Vera, Aunt Molly, what are you guys doing?"

Molly pulled Susan closer to join them in listening.

Inside, Shawn's tone softened. "I'll just play for a bit. I have a match with Jackson tonight."

"You can't play during the day, so you sacrifice your sleep? Hand over your phone, and we can talk about everything else."

Shawn clutched his phone, annoyed. "Fine, fine, I won't play. I'll go to sleep."

Patrick replied, "You don't have to hand over the phone."

Shawn sighed in relief. Patrick added, "But I'm changing the Wi-Fi password."

Shawn exploded, "Patrick, why did I even have you?!"

"To give you trouble."

With that, Patrick left the room, only to find the trio eavesdropping at the door.

The three of them immediately straightened up.

Randall wasn't around, so his girlfriend took the lead.

Susan blinked innocently, not daring to speak.

"Patrick, it wasn't my idea."

Susan added, "I was dragged into this."

Vera scratched her neck. "Patrick, I think I was sleepwalking."

Patrick pulled the ringleader away. "Sleepwalking, huh? Not tired enough?"

Molly peeked out, watching Vera get into trouble, then turned to the innocent Susan. "Susan, I just realized, you're like a shield."

"What?"

Patrick always remembered that Susan was a friend's daughter, so she never got punished. She even benefited from it. "Susan, from now on, if I get into trouble, I'm dragging you along."

Susan scratched her head, not understanding.

Later, when she was video chatting with Randall, she mentioned it. Randall, fresh out of the shower and drying his hair, advised her earnestly, "Didn't I tell you to stay away from them? Can't you remember?"

Susan frowned, troubled. "Randall, I can't control myself. What should I do?"

Whenever she had free time, she always wanted to hang out with Molly and Vera, unable to control herself.

Randall suggested, "When you go home, the distance will keep you away from them."

Susan didn't want to hear it and pressed the red hang-up button.

Randall paused his hair-drying. "Now you don't even dare to talk back."

Before bed, Molly also video chatted with Sebastian, who was working the night shift. Seeing him asleep on the couch, Molly felt a pang of sympathy and ordered a pillow-blanket combo for him online, using his card.

Shopping at night was dangerous because it was easy to lose control.

Soon, Sebastian's phone buzzed with five or six purchase notifications.

Each notification made Sebastian's smile grow wider.

"Go to sleep. Tomorrow, I'll work a day shift, and then we can spend the weekend together at home."

"Sebastian, you're working too hard. Why don't you rest at home tomorrow?" Molly suggested.

Sebastian adjusted his position. "If you're not home, there's no point in resting."

Molly continued browsing a shopping app. "Take care of yourself. If you wear yourself out, I'll find another man. I won't be nursing you in bed."

Sebastian chuckled and closed his eyes, placing his phone on a nearby stool.

Molly, satisfied with her shopping, checked her phone one last time before heading to Shawn's room. She peeked in to see both grandfather and grandson sleeping soundly, not sneaking any phone time.

Only then did Molly go to sleep.

The next morning, Susan woke Molly up early for work. She took over the chef's duties and made breakfast. As they were about to leave, a loud cry from Shawn and Teddy's wailing came from upstairs.

The living room froze.

Patrick, who had just sat down for breakfast, immediately rushed upstairs.

Before he could reach the middle, Shawn came out holding Teddy, his face red with anger. "Patrick, Vera! Take Theodore away from me!"

Teddy's crying woke Vera from her sleep. She ran out, wrapping her robe around her. "Dad, Teddy, what's wrong? Did he fall off the bed?"

Vincent and Molly stood frozen, not understanding.

No one could run faster than a mother. Vera was the first to reach the grandfather and grandson, holding Teddy and checking him. "Dad, what happened?"

Shawn, in his pajamas, was red with anger. "Why did he stop crying after waking up?"

Vera looked at her son. "My son is crying. Isn't he crying now?"

"He didn't cry this morning." Shawn pointed at the still-crying Teddy.

Vera noticed something off and finally saw the wet spot on Shawn's chest. As a mother, she knew exactly what it was.

"Dad, did my son mistake you for me and try to nurse when he woke up, biting you?"

Teddy continued to cry, his wails echoing through the house.

Shawn pointed at Patrick downstairs. "Patrick, take your family and go back to Cherry Villa. My house is too small for you and Teddy."

Molly finally understood and burst into laughter.

The entire Olteran Manor living room was filled with her loud, hearty laughter.

Vincent and Patrick also smiled.

Susan, holding two plates of breakfast, stood at the door, laughing along.

The whole family laughed, while the grandfather and grandson, one angry and one crying, couldn't outdo Teddy's cries.

As they carried him downstairs, Vincent insisted on holding Teddy, and Cindy brought over a bottle of formula to feed him.

Vera explained, "Dad, Teddy was probably too tired last night and didn't wake up. He woke up hungry this morning and tried to nurse from you."

Shawn looked at Teddy, loving him but also wanting to spank him.

But if he spanked him, Teddy would cry, and he'd have to comfort him as a grandfather.

Molly laughed so hard her stomach hurt. "You know, Dad, you're the oldest and the most pitiful in the Olteran family. Your daughter annoys you, your son annoys you, your grandson annoys you, and your daughter-in-law can beat you up. Now even your little grandson, who can't even talk, is bullying you. Last night, Patrick took your phone, and today, Teddy bit you. Does it hurt?"

Shawn replied, "Go, go, go, Molly, you should go back to Chase Villa."

"No, I won't go back. I want to stay and watch my father." Molly clung to Shawn's arm, seeing the drool stain on his chest and laughing again.

Everyone wanted to kiss Teddy, but while drinking his formula, Teddy pushed everyone away with his little hands, as if saying, "I'm drinking, don't bother me."

After finishing his bottle, Teddy sat on Vincent's lap, staring at Shawn across from him, big eyes meeting small eyes.
