Chapter 727 Expulsion

"Mr. Morales, I can't promise you I'll achieve great things, but I can guarantee I'll handle my responsibilities and take care of Susan. I might not be your ideal choice right now, but I'm asking for a chance."

Randall took the initiative to call Ulysses and had a long conversation with him. On the other end, Ulysses and Sadie listened in silence.

When Susan called them that day, she had already recounted the events at the Olteran family gathering. It all started because Susan brought it up, "Even if Randall can't inherit the company in the future, it's because of me. I have to take responsibility for Randall. Even if you don't agree, I still want to be with him."

Randall spoke for a long time, never mentioning Susan's impulsive actions. He was seeking their understanding and asking them not to be angry with Susan.

Ulysses warned coldly, "Randall, remember what you said tonight. If Susan ever suffers because of you, I won't forgive you."

"Understood."

After hanging up, Randall breathed a sigh of relief, feeling he had gained Susan's family's approval.

At the Morales Villa, after Ulysses' stern demeanor, he exchanged a glance with Sadie. "To be honest, I actually quite approve of Randall. He's a young man with ideas and a sense of responsibility. Look, after being with Susan, he knows to call us and make a promise, putting our minds at ease."

Sadie replied, "Then why did you warn him so harshly just now?"

"Of course, what if he bullies my daughter?" Ulysses lay down and started to ponder, "Sadie, am I really that heartless, only caring about the company and not Susan's lifelong happiness?"

Ulysses recalled the day when his sweet and gentle Susan told him, "I look down on men who marry into the family. I won't be happy with an arranged marriage. Besides Randall, don't even think about pairing me with any other man."

Sadie scoffed, "Isn't it because of what you said to Patrick before? Anyone would misunderstand. And you call yourself the chairman, yet you can't even speak properly."

Ulysses, who usually had no standing at home, muttered a few complaints to himself as Sadie grumbled.

As night fell, Randall sat in his car, staring at Patrick's number on his phone, hesitating to call.

At Cherry Villa, Patrick sat on the couch, watching his wife and child laugh. Occasionally, he glanced at his phone, his smile fading slightly, before turning back to watch the two on the bed.

Mother and son, having bathed, were playing on the bed.

The room was filled with their laughter. Teddy was almost out of breath from laughing so hard at Vera's antics, his mouth wide open, drooling.

Whenever Vera pretended to hit him, Teddy would laugh uncontrollably.

"Vera's gonna get you!"

Teddy laughed again, watching Vera's playful punches, and fell back on the bed, unable to sit still.

He paused for a moment, then burst into laughter along with Vera. Hearing Vera laugh, Teddy couldn't help but laugh too.

Patrick stood up, smiling as he picked up Teddy from the bed. "Time to sleep."

Vera adjusted the indoor air conditioning, then cuddled Teddy. The two exchanged glances and laughed.

"Teddy, you're so cute, Mom wants to eat you up."

Teddy raised his fist, offering it to Vera.

Vera shook her head, hugging Teddy, then turned his hand towards Patrick's mouth. "Give your hand to Daddy to eat."

Patrick kissed Teddy's hand. "Daddy's had enough. Time to sleep."

Teddy giggled again, continuing to offer his hand to Patrick.

Randall hesitated for a long time before finally putting down his phone, starting the car, and driving away.

Recently, Teddy loved to follow Patrick to sleep. Sometimes, when Patrick worked in the study, a little figure would lie on the floor by the door, calling out non-stop.

If the door remained closed for too long, he would cry.

This left Patrick with no time to work at home. Although he knew Vera intentionally placed Teddy by the door to call him to bed and distract him from his worries, Patrick still thought about it late at night.

The next day at the office, Ulysses told Patrick about the call he had with Randall the previous night.

After listening, Patrick fell silent. Hanging up the phone, he called Jack into his office. "Fire the chief secretary."

"What?" Jack was shocked.

Patrick continued, "Terminate him unilaterally, without his consent. Follow labor laws and compensate him accordingly."

Jack was stunned but, seeing Patrick's recent foul mood didn't dare to ask more.

After leaving, Jack immediately sought advice from a former colleague, the previous chief secretary. "Sophia, I need your analysis. Mr. Olteran has been in a bad mood lately, and Randall hasn't shown up for work. On the first day, the boss was furious, so I marked Randall as absent. Now, it's almost reached the limit for unexcused absences, and the company can terminate him according to the rules. But just now, Mr. Olteran told me to fire him and specifically mentioned compensating him according to labor laws. Something feels off."

Sophia asked, "How many days has Randall been absent?"

"Three or four days."

"Mr. Olteran wants to give Randall money."

Jack was efficient at his job, but when it came to understanding his superior's mindset, he wasn't as sharp as Sophia.

Sophia continued, "Mr. Olteran never used to care about firing employees. This time, he's deliberately reminding you, which means he wants to give Randall money in a different way. By having the company terminate him for unjust reasons, we have to compensate him. The specific reason is their family matter, so don't ask. Just follow Mr. Olteran's instructions."

After hanging up, Jack went to notify the HR department.

The newly appointed chief secretary was suddenly fired without any reason, and the announcement was made on the company's domestic and international websites.

This caught the attention of many who were watching Randall.

Speculations arose: "Randall must have angered Patrick; otherwise, he wouldn't have been fired."

"Could it be that Mr. Olteran is deliberately eliminating rivals to leave the company to his son?" "It's possible."

"Maybe Randall found out Mr. Olteran has a son and feared the company wouldn't be his in the future, so he secretly built his faction within the company, which Mr. Olteran discovered and got angry about, leading to his dismissal?"

People couldn't help but speculate.

Some even wanted to gauge Patrick's attitude towards Randall. If he was seen as an enemy, they feared getting involved with him might bring trouble. This included Ollie, who had previously shown interest in Randall.

Although Randall was a genius, no one dared to oppose Patrick at the moment.

"Looks like Zandonick will have to find new allies again," Ulysses, who was in another city, guessed as he looked at the announcement.

Randall received the company's termination email, followed by his salary and compensation being deposited into his account.
