Chapter 752 The Baby Is Starving

"Looking for clothes for the little guy?" the sales associate asked, eyeing the baby in their arms.

The four men nodded. "Yeah, this is our son."

The sales associate's eyebrows shot up. Four men? A son?

Could they be two couples? Did they adopt him? Are they raising him together?

Who's the mom? Who's the dad?

A whole story was already spinning in the sales associate's mind.

"Can you get a size for our son? We want to try it on."

"Sir, it's not really convenient to try on children's clothes. Do you know his usual size?"

The four men exchanged glances. "Why can't we try them on? Think we won't buy them? Just get the size, and we'll buy it if it fits."

The sales associate replied, "Actually, if you tell me the size, we can get the clothes for you."

Joshua said, "We don't know the size."

It seemed like they had just adopted him.

The sales associate looked at Teddy's current outfit, which was quite nice. "I can take a look now."

So, under the fumbling hands of his four godfathers, Teddy's clothes were removed, revealing his chubby little body. Teddy started crying his eyes out.

His cries drew the attention of other customers, who kept turning to look. The four men tried to comfort him, their heads nearly exploding from the effort.

If it had been anyone else not listening to them, they would have lost their patience long ago. But today, they were holding their "son."

Soon, the ordeal of putting on new clothes began.

The four men held and comforted him, and eventually, the sales associate helped Teddy into the new outfit.

Having gone through this once, they firmly decided not to make Teddy try on any more clothes.

In the toy store, whatever Teddy wanted, they bought.

Whatever his little hand touched, they bought.

When he saw other kids playing with toy cars, Joshua pointed at one and said, "We'll take it."

Whatever Teddy grabbed, the sales associate wisely handed over. By the end of the day, their car's trunk was full, and everything was sent to Cherry Villa.

After leaving the fifth baby store, the four men were exhausted.

Teddy was still smiling in their arms.

Joshua wiped Teddy's tears with his hand, and Ian immediately pulled out tissues. "Don't use your hand; it's full of germs. Use tissues to wipe Teddy's tears."

Scott opened a pack of wet wipes. "Tissues will irritate his skin. Use wet wipes."

Owen said, "Didn't his mom say wet wipes are for his bottom? How can we use them for his tears?"

Joshua asked, "Did she say that?"

Ian tried to remember. "I think she did?"

Scott nodded vaguely. "I think she mentioned it."

Joshua then called Patrick. "What should we use to wipe Teddy's tears?"

Patrick was speechless.

After listening to their chaotic discussion, Patrick said, "Why don't you just cut off your hands?"

In the air-conditioned mall, one child and four men were sweating profusely.

In the children's play area, while other kids were playing on the slides, the four men carried Teddy inside. "Sir, the child is too young for the slides and bouncy castle."

Ian wanted to argue. "Our kid is small, so what? We can watch him."

The ticket seller was at a loss for words, staring at the four men.

Scott, used to getting his way, asked directly, "Get your manager. We'll buy the equipment if our kid can't play here."

As they left, Teddy pouted again.

By one in the afternoon, the sun was blazing. For some reason, Teddy kept crying and couldn't be comforted. Earlier, he had been cute for a while, but now he was gnawing on Joshua's face. Ian was excited. "Why is Teddy kissing Joshua? Let me hold him; he should kiss me too."

Whoever held him, Teddy gnawed on.

The men found it amusing, but Scott sensed something was wrong. "Why is Teddy crying so much?"

Ian said, "Hasn't he been crying all morning?"

Joshua also felt something was off. "No, he's not kissing us. When Teddy kisses Mr. Olteran, he's smiling. Why is he crying with us?"

The four men looked at Teddy, puzzled.

Scott noticed kids walking by with milk bottles and suddenly realized. He shouted, "We haven't fed Teddy his formula!"

The four men were stunned.

"Quick, back to the car."

Back at the car, they frantically searched for Teddy's bottle. The four men, used to spacious travel, squeezed into the car, feeling uncomfortable. They decided to stand outside with the canvas bag Vera had given them.

On the car's hood, they placed Teddy's things.

The four men fumbled around. "How much formula do we use?"

"Water first or formula first? Ian, check a parenting blog on your phone."

Joshua held the exhausted, crying Teddy in his arms, feeling heartbroken. "Hurry up."

"This water is too hot; it'll burn Teddy. Owen, go buy a bottle of cold water to mix."

The four men divided tasks, but still couldn't manage one child.

Passersby stared at them, curious at first, then impressed by their looks, and finally suspicious.

One passerby approached. "What are you doing?"

"Step aside. Can't you see we're making formula for our son?"

"Whose son?"

Ian, annoyed, said, "None of your business."

Their clumsy attempts made the passerby more concerned.

Scott hurriedly handed the bottle to Teddy. For the first time, Teddy didn't throw it away. He clung to it, drinking eagerly.

The four men finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Their backs were soaked with sweat from the stress and heat.

"What's your relationship with this child?" the passerby asked.

Joshua replied, "Who are you?"

"I'm just a concerned citizen. You clearly don't know how to care for a child. You can't be his parents. Where are his real parents?"

Joshua said, "That's none of your business."

The passerby took out their phone. "Where did you get this child? If you don't explain, I'm calling the police."

Ian pointed at himself. "Do we look like kidnappers?"

"I didn't say you were kidnappers. I suspect you bought this child from kidnappers." Their clumsy care and the child's prolonged crying suggested they weren't the parents.

"Buying is as bad as kidnapping! If you don't explain, we'll see each other at the police station."

Teddy, focused on his bottle, didn't care about the trouble his crying had caused his godfathers.
