Chapter 791 Teddy Will Ruin Mom

Sadie sat next to Susan, hesitant to interrupt her studying. Instead, she occasionally popped a grape into Susan's mouth, eating one herself. "Mom, why do you and Randall keep feeding me fruit? If I eat too much, I'll get a stomachache."

Sadie fed Susan another grape. "It's good for your diet."

"Randall doesn't want me to diet. He says if I get too skinny, he'll have to cook a whole pig for me."

Sadie laughed heartily. "Did he really say that?"

Susan nodded. "He also tricked me into thinking that eating fruit makes you smarter."

"What else did he say?"

Susan thought about Randall's famous lines and picked a couple to share with Sadie. "Randall says other boyfriends are mass-produced in factories, but he's one of a kind. Something like that. He gave me his bank card, and when I didn't want it, he pinched my cheeks and said he was going to turn me into a little chubby teddy bear."

Sadie laughed again. "When I first met him, he seemed so steady and quiet, very thorough in everything he did. I didn't expect him to be like this."

"Mom, once you get to know Randall, you'll see he's both pitiful and deserving of it. At home, Vera hits him, Molly teases him, and Grandpa bullies him. He's pitiful, but he kind of deserves it."

Sadie laughed once more. "So, what do you like about him?"

"If I could pinpoint specific things I like, that would be admiration or attraction. I like Randall as a whole. I like everything about him, even when we argue. What do you like about Dad?"

Sadie thought for a moment and said, "I don't like your dad."

Susan turned her head. "What?"

Sadie replied, "I love your dad."

Susan was startled, her tense expression slowly relaxing. "Mom, don't scare me like that."

Just then, Ulysses came down the stairs, smiling as he approached his wife and daughter. "Susan, let Dad see how your studying is going. If there's something you don't understand, I'll help you."

"No, I need to save the difficult stuff for my video call with Randall tonight."

Ulysses sighed. "It's always Randall. I've booked a trip for you and your mom with a travel agency. You should go with her. I'm too busy to go, and I don't want her traveling alone. You have a long summer break, and it would be a shame not to do something fun."

Susan didn't really want to go, but seeing her mom's eagerness to travel, she relented. "Okay, Dad, I'll go with Mom."

Sadie smiled and gently ruffled Susan's hair.

As night fell, Molly parked her car at the Olteran Manor. "Dad, I'm back."

She entered the living room but didn't find Shawn.

Soon, Vera appeared, holding a squirming Teddy. "He went out this afternoon and hasn't come back yet."

"Isn't there a grandchild at home to keep him company? Who did he go out with?"

"Who else? His old buddies. Teddy's at that clingy stage where he only wants me. He won't even let Cindy hold him. So, Dad went out."

A little later, Cindy also appeared. "It's good that Dad went out to play. Better than straining his eyes on his phone at home."

Cindy was also worried about the situation at home. Shawn had developed a smartphone addiction, which was problematic. If a young person had a phone addiction, she could scold them, but Shawn was hooked, and even the kids at home didn't want to play with him anymore. He was so engrossed that he hadn't come home yet.

Molly said, "Vera, let's take Teddy and go pick up Dad. I'll drive and show you my skills."

She winked at Vera.

Vera looked down at Teddy. "You go ahead. My arm hurts from holding him. I don't want to sit in the car holding him."

Taking care of a child was exhausting, especially for the mother.

Molly nodded and said, "Alright, I'll go."

As she was about to leave, Patrick came back. "Patrick, you're back."

"Where are you going this late?"

"To pick up Dad. He went to Jackson's and hasn't come back."

Patrick turned around and said, "I'll go with you."

"Great, you can see my driving skills." Patrick smiled faintly.

Vera returned to her bedroom, exhausted, and placed Teddy on the bed. She pinched his chubby cheeks. "Molly's career is stable, her skills are improving, and she dresses fashionably. Look at me, my arms hurt from holding you. I have to think about your comfort when I dress. If there's a diamond on my dress, I'm afraid it'll poke you. If you're not in my sight, you cry. I spend all day revolving around you. Can you be a little more cooperative? Give your mom a break, okay?"

Teddy grabbed Vera's hand and tried to put it in his mouth.

Vera sighed and sat on the bed. "If you wear me out, your dad might get you a stepmom. How would that benefit you?"

Vera knelt on the bed, resting her chin on her hands, watching Teddy.

Teddy struggled to roll over, then lay on his stomach, looking at Vera and grinning.

He turned around again and sat on the bed. Vera leaned over and kissed him.

Teddy was thrilled.

Half an hour later, Shawn was brought back by his children. "Molly, why are you back again?"

"I missed you. Why do you think I came back?"

Shawn didn't believe that Molly had deep feelings for him. He glanced at Patrick. "You're not even half as cute as your son."

He stormed off to his bedroom.

Molly remembered her real reason for coming back and grabbed a bag of clothes. "Patrick, I need to borrow your wife."

She saw Vincent and called, "Vincent, I need to borrow your wife, too."

Molly gathered Vera and Cindy in her bedroom, shooing the men out. Even though Teddy was small and cute, Molly unceremoniously tossed him out.

As soon as Vera was out of sight, Teddy started crying. Patrick couldn't console him.

Inside, Vera said, "Ignore him. Let me have a moment of peace. Molly, why did you call us here?"

"Help me try on some clothes."

Cindy immediately recognized them and asked, "The MS Group's new collection?"

Molly nodded. Vera said, "They feel nice, the quality and craftsmanship are good. What's the problem?"

Molly looked at her friend and asked, "How did you know there was a problem?"

"Isn't it obvious? You suddenly bring clothes home, and they're new. Even if you wanted us to try them on, the company has models for that. It wouldn't be us."

She took off her top and started trying on the clothes.

Molly explained the situation she had discovered. "I visited a few stores today, and things aren't looking good. My mom has already told the factory to slowly reduce production. This collection isn't selling well."
