Chapter 745 Beaten by Mom
Later that night, Molly waited until Sebastian was sound asleep before carefully turning over, making sure not to wake him. She stealthily grabbed his phone and checked his contacts, eventually discovering that it was Randall who had snitched. At three in the morning, Molly called Randall, waking him up with her angry voice, "Randall, are you out of your mind?"
Randall, guessing why Molly was so furious, replied with a tired warning, "Look, what you do is your business, but leave my Susan out of it. This is just a small warning. If you mess with her again, I'll dig up our group chat history and send Sebastian all the messages where you trashed him over the past five years. Even if you deleted them, I can still find them."
After hanging up, Molly cursed Randall under her breath.
When she got back into bed, Sebastian turned over and wrapped his arms around her perfectly.
From behind her, Sebastian's voice came, "Done cursing? Go to sleep."
"You weren't asleep!"
Molly later vented about the incident to Vera when she visited Cherry Villa to see Teddy.
"So, Vera, you need to realize that I'm the only one who won't betray you. Randall, that guy, got a girlfriend and started ratting us out to the guys."
Vera's study materials were scattered on the couch, and Teddy sat quietly in her lap, amusing himself.
At the Olteran Manor, when Teddy was well-behaved, the world was at peace.
Vera responded to Molly, "Randall's been a traitor for a while now. Remember when the three of us were together and we got in trouble? It was always Randall who snitched."
As Vera and Molly chatted, Teddy lay on the couch, his little butt sticking up, wearing a black-and-white striped vest, quietly "playing."
"So, what was the punishment?" Vera's curiosity was piqued.
Molly propped her head up and sighed, "All my nicknames for Sebastian had to be changed to 'Hubby.' And now, my Facebook name, my game name, and Sebastian's are all matching couple names! I mean, who still does that these days? Sebastian's getting more and more childish."
Vera laughed, "Sebastian spent his youth on you. He didn't have a high school romance, so now he's making up for it."
Molly scoffed, "He doesn't even dare to admit to my face that I'm his first love."
Vera sensed some juicy gossip and was about to dig deeper when a loud noise shattered the quiet of the living room.
Vera and Molly exchanged glances. "What was that?"
Molly's expression froze as she had a clear view behind Vera. With a look of shock, she warned, "Vera, when a child does something wrong, parents need to educate them carefully. Hitting and scolding won't..."
Before she could finish, Vera turned around and saw the scene on the couch. "Theodore! Did you just tear my book?"
A mother's hand landed on Teddy's butt.
Teddy was stunned. It didn't really hurt, but being scolded by Vera made him feel wronged. He lay on the couch and started crying.
With his fiery temper, Teddy grabbed another page from Vera's book and tore it.
Molly quickly ran over to protect Teddy, then looked at the furious Vera and reminded her, "Vera, you gave birth to him."
Vera snatched Teddy back and gave him two more swats on his diapered bottom. Teddy cried even louder, as if Vera was abusing him.
At work, Patrick received a complaint call from home. Vera's clear accusations were accompanied by Teddy's crying.
That day, Patrick left work early to go home and mediate the dispute between Vera and Teddy.
Molly didn't want to leave; she wanted to see if Patrick would side with Vera or protect Teddy.
After all, seeing Teddy crying and clinging to Patrick, Molly couldn't bear to scold him.
Later, when Sebastian got off work, he came to Cherry Villa and dragged Molly away. "Sebastian, didn't you say a case's integrity requires both evidence and witnesses? I'm the witness."
Still in his police uniform, Sebastian looked at Molly in the passenger seat, "There's no need for witnesses. It's all about who Patrick favors."
As it turned out, Patrick favored Vera.
After crying for a long time, Teddy eventually got a swat on the butt from Patrick and continued crying.
That night, after calming Teddy down, the ever-busy Patrick sat in the living room, using clear tape to fix the pages of Vera's torn book.
While he wasn't paying attention, Teddy sat at the table, tearing more paper.
When Vera arrived, the table and floor were covered in paper scraps. The place was a mess.
Patrick quickly picked up Teddy and promised Vera, "Vera, I'll clean up all this mess."
Vera's fists clenched as she threatened Patrick and Teddy, "You two better clean up my house!"
With that, she took her newly repaired book and left.
As she climbed the stairs, Vera instructed the maid, "Don't help Patrick and Teddy. Let them clean up."
The maid didn't dare to speak.
Patrick looked at Teddy in his arms, "Tomorrow, you'd better behave and come to work with Dad."
Teddy looked at Patrick's face, excitedly babbling. His clean little face and pink lips kept talking to Patrick.
As long as he didn't have to leave Vera and Patrick, he was happy and excited.
Later, the maid came over, but of course, she wouldn't really let Patrick do the cleaning. Patrick waved her off, "You can go. I'll clean up."
After cleaning up, Patrick carried Teddy back to the master bedroom.
Vera had set up a small table on the bed, and Teddy was eyeing it eagerly!
Teddy lay on the bed, always trying to get close to Vera, but Patrick blocked him at every turn.
Teddy's face turned red with frustration. He couldn't argue, so he just kept calling, "Daddy, Daddy."
Every time he called, Patrick responded.
With Patrick and Teddy making noise, Vera couldn't concentrate on her studies. "You two go bond in the study. If anyone disturbs my studying again, neither of you will sleep with me this month."
Patrick immediately left Teddy and went to the study alone.
Then, a loud voice came from the bedroom, "Patrick, you and Teddy are a package deal. If he bothers me, you sleep in the study too."
Patrick reappeared, picked up Teddy, who had just managed to grab Vera, and took him to the study.
Finally, it was quiet. Vera bowed her head and focused on her notes.
In the study, Patrick and Teddy sat on the couch, facing each other. "Whose fault is it? We have a bedroom we can't use and got sent to the study."
