Chapter 849 The World is Full of Wonders

More and more onlookers gathered around. For two women who had never been in a traffic accident before and had no man with them, their first reaction was to call the police.

The woman saw her man being pressed against the car by Vera with his temple held down, unable to get up, and immediately rushed forward to fight.

This time it was Molly's turn to stand in front of her friend: "If you dare make a move, I'll lie down on the ground right now and not get up. I'm holding a child, so it's not just one person!"

Fighting unreasonable people with unreasonable tactics leaves them no way out. From Alan's mother, Molly had learned to deal with different people in different ways. It worked every time.

Seeing Molly going the shrew route, the woman was momentarily stumped, not knowing what to do.

Teddy, enjoying the drama, excitedly activated his clapping function, applauding his mom from Molly's arms, his two feet swinging excitedly as he giggled.

"Mama, ma..." he reached out to Vera, wanting his mom to hold him.

Soon the police car arrived. Vera released the man, whose cheek was burned bright red.

Vera walked toward Teddy. Teddy leaned his body and threw himself into his mom's arms, hugging her neck as a barrage of domineering kisses rained down, randomly pecking at his mom's eyes and nose.

Vera pressed her lips together, enduring the drool all over her face. Because of Teddy, she didn't dare wear makeup anymore, and didn't dare apply skincare products either, afraid of Teddy kissing her.

After the police car arrived, they saw it was a simple rear-end accident. Two women with a child, and a married couple.

"Move the cars to the side, don't block the road."

The woman said: "No way, we need to protect the crime scene. If we move to the side and she runs away, what if she denies it later?"

Molly rolled her eyes and cooperatively handed the car keys to the police, pulling Vera to the roadside under a tree for shade.

The man still wouldn't move his car. Only after the police officer shouted sternly did the man reluctantly hand over his car keys and clear the road.

Teddy looked at the police curiously, his big eyes full of wonder, not afraid of anything when with his mom.

Vera looked in the direction Jonathan had left. After so long, they definitely couldn't catch up with him now.

Teddy had been exposed to the sun, the tree shade provided limited cover, and his tender skin turned red quickly. Plus, being scared awake during his most sleepy time at noon, and with mom no longer fighting, Teddy's little face scrunched up, his little mouth turned down, and he started crying and fussing on his mom's shoulder.

While Molly was explaining the situation to the police, the man interrupted: "She's lying, she's framing me. I was passing normally, this woman deliberately hit me. I'm not going through insurance, she must pay the full amount."

Molly heard Teddy crying, was anxious about not catching up with Jonathan, and had suddenly rear-ended someone only to be cursed at and scammed. Her temper flared: "The police said to speak one at a time. Right now they're asking me. Are you mentally disabled and can't understand people?"

The man's face turned red with anger: "Say that one more time."

Molly: "Cursing at you is a waste of my time."

The officer paused and reminded: "Ahem, be polite."

Molly shot back: "Was he polite?"

The man spoke again: "Young people these days, so foul-mouthed at such a young age, cursing at people. Did school teach you to come out and fight? Or did school not even accept someone like you? Which man bought you that luxury car?"

Molly sneered: "The world is full of surprises, and among all the jerks, you're one of them. Jealous of my luxury car? This is nothing. You couldn't afford it even if you worked until you're buried."

Vera walked back and forth holding Teddy, occasionally glancing at Molly.

The roadside argument went nowhere, so they went straight to the police station.

When preparing to go to the traffic police department, the man looked at Vera holding the child, remembering how she had pinned him down, his face still hurting: "No way, she hit me just now. I need to get the criminal police involved."

Molly slapped the man's arm away: "What are you pointing at? Have you no shame? If we're calling the police, you're the one who made the first move on us."

"My face is burned, I need a medical examination, and I need to be hospitalized."

Vera looked at Teddy crying and covered in sweat: "Molly, if we're going, let's go. Get in the car first. The sun is too harsh, Teddy is uncomfortable."

Molly quickly followed.

Because there was a physical altercation, the traffic police drove directly to the police station.

When getting out of the car, the two friends looked at each other: "Um... Vera, why don't you go down first and check next door to see if Sebastian is there?"

Vera: "But if I go down, won't you be exposed too?"

Molly turned to look behind: "Vera, your eyesight is better. Help me see if Sebastian's car is there."

She gave the license plate number. Vera turned around to look at each car: "No."

Molly breathed a sigh of relief.

The couple from the car behind had already gotten out and followed the traffic police to the familiar case-handling hall.

As soon as they entered, they shouted: "I want to report a crime."

An officer stood up and looked at the traffic police: "What happened?"

The man started complaining that someone had hit him, and indeed there were red burn marks on his cheek.

The traffic officer, finding him unable to get to the point, briefly explained: "Rear-end collision on the road, failed to settle privately, got physical. He was beaten by two young women."

The man felt this didn't sound right: "It wasn't two who beat me, they're not young women. One cursed at me and one hit me. Neither of them are good women. So young, one holding a child, another driving a luxury car - how could they be good people? Normally at this time they should be in school."

The officer pointed to the side: "You sit there first, we'll understand the situation. Are those two people here?"

The traffic officer looked back at the two women who hadn't gotten out of the car yet.

Another traffic officer standing nearby said: "You two, come down. We're here now. If you're really in the right, the police will make that determination."
