Chapter 731 Special Service

Susan's suggestion had Shawn excitedly telling Molly and Vera, "Hey, let's go surprise Randall!"

Vera replied, "You might end up scaring him instead."

Shawn said, "Nah, Susan told me Randall's been missing me, but he's too proud to admit it. We should just go see the kid."

Vera, playing along, said, "Dad, just for that comment, as Randall's 'elder,' I have to go see the 'kid'!" Vera never missed a chance to tease Randall.

Vera was now Randall's "elder"!

When it was Molly's turn, Shawn, having learned from Vera, said, "As the elders, we should go see Randall this weekend."

Molly responded, "Dad, are you feeling okay?"

Shawn replied, "Just tell me if you're going or not."

"Of course, I'm going! As his aunt, I have to see my favorite nephew," Molly said, patting her chest with a mischievous grin.

On the weekend.

Vera woke up a sleepy Teddy early in the morning. Patrick said, "Let him sleep. He'll just start crying again. He's such a handful."

Vera replied, "We're going out today. You stay home."

"Where are you going?" Mr. Olteran asked.

Vera thought for a moment and said, "To a hotel."

Patrick guessed who Vera was going to see and didn't ask further.

Teddy cried as Vera dressed him and got him ready. By mid-morning, the Olteran family's car arrived to pick them up.

In the car, Shawn asked, "Vera, where's Patrick?"

Vera replied, "He didn't want to come. He's out playing basketball with his friends."

In the car, Teddy sat in Vera's lap, trying to sleep. Vera shook him gently, "No sleeping, Teddy. Theodore! If you sleep, I'll have to wake you up. Stay awake."

Teddy pouted and started crying louder and louder until the car was filled with his cries. Shawn rubbed his ears, "Vera, please calm Teddy down. I'm not deaf yet, but he's getting close to making me deaf."

Vera said, "Open the sunroof."

Soon, the sunroof was open, and Teddy stood on Vera's lap, held under his arms, comfortably looking up at the sky through the sunroof.

Teddy stopped crying and started babbling in his language.

Vera held Teddy, occasionally responding to him, to keep him from getting upset again.

The car's temperature rose quickly, so Susan turned the air conditioning to the maximum.

Molly looked at Teddy, "I didn't pass on the habit of opening the sunroof while driving. This time, his mom can't blame me!"

Susan, in the front passenger seat, said, "Teddy must have inherited it from Randall. He'll probably love convertibles in the future."

Shawn nodded in agreement, "Susan's right. Teddy will likely love cars without roofs. Too bad his dad, Patrick, is so difficult and stingy. What if he doesn't give Teddy money for a sports car?"

Vera answered for Teddy, "Then we'll just take all the sports cars from Randall's garage. Right, Teddy?"

Teddy happily stomped his feet on Vera's lap, excitedly watching birds fly by.

Around ten o'clock, there was a knock on the hotel door.

"Who is it?" Randall, watching an online class, asked irritably.

Vera held Teddy's little hand and had him knock on the door, "Randall's inside. Keep knocking."

Teddy happily followed Vera's instructions, knocking hard on the door.

Outside, Molly pinched her throat and said, "Hello, housekeeping. Sir, do you need cleaning services?"

"No, thank you," Randall replied with a smile. He knew who was there as soon as he heard Teddy's voice.

Molly knocked again and said, "Do you need any special services? They're all free. We offer Grandpa's cane, human toy kids, and cute and adorable girlfriends, all free. Do you need any?"

Randall opened the door, smiling at his family, "If it's free, I'll take them all."

He then looked at Teddy, whom he hadn't seen in days, and pulled him from Vera's arms, "Why are you getting chubbier? Kiss me! I've missed you."

After complaining about Teddy's weight, Randall hugged him and kissed his chubby cheeks hard, making Teddy's face squish and his lips pout.

After the kiss, Randall and Teddy made eye contact. Teddy looked at Randall, who had just kissed him, and his face scrunched up before he started crying loudly.

"No, no, I just kissed you once. Why are you crying?"

Shawn said, "Your bad breath probably scared Teddy. Can't afford toothpaste and a toothbrush? I'll give you money if you need it."

Vera took Teddy back into her arms, wiping his tears, "Mommy's here, don't cry."

Teddy lay in Vera's arms, his face buried in her neck, crying softly.

Vera loved the soft, cuddly feeling of her son, holding him and soothing him.

The group entered Randall's hotel room.

His desk still had traces of his recent study session, which Randall quickly tidied up. Vera asked, "Are we interrupting your studies?"

"No. Why did you all suddenly come?" Randall's room didn't have enough sofas, so everyone sat on the bed.

Shawn, acting proud, said, "We heard you missed us, so we came to see you."

Susan exposed him, "That's not true. Grandpa missed Randall."

Shawn, embarrassed, said, "Susan, whose side are you on?"

Susan bit her lip, choosing carefully, "I'm on Teddy's side."

Teddy, having just cried, was now tired and resting on Vera's lap.

Everyone looked at Randall, feeling different emotions.

As his aunt, Molly felt a bit sorry for him, "I'll pay for you to stay in a luxury hotel, okay?"

Randall replied, "Can your monthly salary cover one day?"

"Just barely. With Sebastian's salary, you can stay a few more days," Molly said.
