Chapter 789 Looks Good in Anything
While waiting, an employee handed Molly a cup of coffee.
Molly took it with a smile. "Thanks."
She glanced at the girl trying on clothes and frowned slightly. "This one's not working," she said after the girl changed out of the outfit.
The salesperson quickly asked, "Can you tell us why you didn't like it?"
"Just not satisfied," Molly replied curtly.
The salesperson looked at Molly, who gave a slight nod, and then continued showing other options.
In the afternoon, Molly stayed in the store for about two hours. The customer flow gradually increased, but only four pieces of clothing were sold, despite more than ten people trying them on.
Sebastian called Molly after work. "Need a ride?"
"I'm still out," Molly said. "You should pick up Mom. I took the car, and she doesn't have a way to get home."
"Mom's got a ride."
They chatted briefly, and Sebastian reminded her, "Don't be too late."
After hanging up, Molly continued observing the store, watching the ebb and flow of customers until closing time.
When the store was empty in the evening, Molly told the store manager, "Pack one of each size of the new thin shirts for me. You all can head home now; it's getting late. Be safe."
Ellie had called Molly several times, but in the end, Timothy picked her up from the company entrance. "Sebastian said you took the car, so I finally got a chance to pick you up from work. It's been ages since I last did that."
Ellie smiled, "Then you should thank Molly for giving you this opportunity."
When they got home, Molly still hadn't returned. She missed dinner too.
It wasn't until ten at night that Molly came back.
By then, the roads were quieter, and she drove home slowly.
Sebastian asked her, "Why so late?"
"Where's Mom?" Molly asked.
"She's in her room."
Molly nodded. It was late, so she didn't go to see Ellie. Reporting tonight or tomorrow wouldn't make a difference, and there was no need to worry Ellie before bed.
Zoey handed Molly a cup of hot milk. "Did you have dinner?"
"Yeah, I did. Thanks, Grandma. I'm gonna skip TV tonight; you should get some rest," Molly said playfully.
Zoey waved her hand. "No TV for me. I was exhausted last night because you insisted on watching. Almost overslept today."
Sebastian gave Molly a knowing look and pulled her back to their bedroom. "You stayed up past midnight last night to avoid me?"
"Obviously," Molly said, placing her clothes on the couch. "Just wanted to switch things up, something I picked up from you."
Sebastian didn't expect Molly to master the technique he hadn't taught her.
Seeing the bags she was carrying, Sebastian asked, "Did you go shopping for clothes?"
"I don't even shop for myself," Molly said, then started unzipping her dress and undressing right in front of Sebastian. "Go lock the door."
Sebastian was momentarily speechless.
After a moment, he walked over and locked the door.
When he turned back, he saw Molly's familiar figure. She opened the bags, took out her size, and tried them on. Then she went to the closet, took out pants and skirts, black ones, denim ones... She tried them all on in front of the mirror. "Sebastian, how do they look?"
Sebastian nodded, "Yeah, they look good."
"Sebastian, I need your honest opinion. These are new products from the company, just launched, but the store sales are tanking. Even our online sales are below expectations." Molly looked at herself in the mirror. "I don't get it. The quality and comfort are top-notch."
Molly tried on several more outfits, all of which looked stunning to Sebastian.
Molly rolled her eyes at him. "You're no help."
She continued trying different sizes and pairing them with various pants and skirts, comparing the looks.
In the end, she couldn't pinpoint any issues.
Sebastian sat on the couch, watching Molly change clothes the whole time.
"I'm exhausted from all this trying on. Sebastian, help me put these away; I'm gonna take a shower."
Leaving a couch full of clothes, Molly ran naked to the bathroom.
Thanks to Sebastian's persistent efforts, Molly wasn't shy anymore, running naked in the bedroom more than once or twice.
Sometimes, after their intimate moments, Molly was too tired to dress. If she needed to use the bathroom at night, she would just lift the covers and go. Now, Sebastian often enjoyed the view.
Soon, the sound of running water came from the bathroom. Sebastian organized Molly's clothes and hung them in the closet.
They both finished at the same time.
"Tomorrow night, remember to use the pillow I bought for you. It has lots of herbs to help you sleep. And use the thin blanket; don't just throw a piece of clothing over yourself." Molly, wrapped in a towel, walked to the vanity and took out her skincare products.
Her collection was ten times larger than Sebastian's!
Sebastian undressed and sat on the bed, watching Molly apply her skincare. "The police department is having meetings and training exchanges with officers from other places. I'm representing our department, so I have to attend."
Molly turned. "How many days?"
"About a week."
"That long? Is it in the city?"
Sebastian nodded, "The visitors are staying in hotels, but I can come home every day."
Molly was relieved, as long as he didn't leave home. She turned back to the mirror, applying body lotion. "Will Patrick and Dad attend?"
"Patrick will be there tomorrow. Dad isn't responsible for this module, so he won't attend."
They chatted for a while, then Molly got into bed. When Sebastian moved closer, she immediately turned her back to him.
Sebastian smiled, didn't touch her, and lay down to sleep.
At Olteran Manor, it was almost eleven. Vera gently took the bottle from Teddy's hand, not disturbing him, and patted him to sleep.
Patrick asked, "What did you do today?"
"Nothing much, just missed my mom and went to see her."
Seeing she didn't want to talk, Patrick didn't press further. They lay down, and Patrick glanced at Teddy. "Move him over; don't let him sleep in the middle."
Vera replied, "If you want to move him, you do it. If he wakes up and cries, you handle it."
Patrick could be a doting father during the day, but at night, he didn't want to see Teddy at all.
Susan thought she would miss Randall terribly after going home, but she found that she was happy with her parents. It was Randall who missed her more, feeling empty without her.
It turned out, he was the one who missed her the most.
