Chapter 102 Whoever Dares to Harm Dennis Shall Find Themselves Wishing for Death!

Frederick left the hospital and made his way to the cemetery.

Given the unusual circumstances of Kevin's death, the funeral was set for this morning.

Frederick was in a foul mood, and his personal assistant, Elliot, could see it plain as day.

While driving, Elliot tried to comfort him, "Frederick, if you're feeling down, you should talk to Isabella. No point in keeping it all inside. You two have been like this for a while, and Isabella's probably feeling it too."

Frederick shot back coldly, "How she feels is none of your business."

Elliot's mouth twitched, "Maybe not, but I can see it's messing with your mood. I'm just worried about you."

"And which eye of yours saw her affecting me?" Frederick snapped.

'Isn't it obvious? Even a blind person could see it!' Elliot thought.

He forced a smile and said, "Isabella's been a big help to Dennis, and she's a woman. Even if she's wrong, we should cut her some slack."

"Alison's also helped Dennis. Should I cut her slack too?" Frederick retorted.

"That's different. Isabella and Ms. Walter aren't the same. Ms. Walter's actions are annoying, but Isabella's a good woman."

"If she's so great, you can follow her from now on. Don't follow me anymore!" Frederick said angrily.

Elliot fell silent. Every time Frederick argued with Isabella, he turned into an unreasonable brat.

"Frederick..."

"Shut up!"

Elliot shut up.

At the funeral.

When the Valdemar family saw Frederick, their eyes widened, and they whispered, "Why is he here?"

"I don't know. I didn't hear he was invited. Did Nicholas invite him?"

"No way, Nicholas wouldn't be that dumb. Inviting him would just stir up trouble."

Frederick hadn't been invited; he showed up unannounced.

As soon as he got out of the car, a chill seemed to sweep through the place. The Valdemar family looked at him in fear and kept their mouths shut.

Anna was crying, and when she saw Frederick, she screamed hysterically, "Why are you here? Who let you come? Get out! Get out! Kevin wouldn't want you here, get out!"

Frederick ignored her; he wasn't here for Kevin today.

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Nicholas in the main guest area. With his hands in his pockets, he walked over.

Seeing Frederick's cocky attitude, the crowd murmured again.

But no one dared to say much, and only Anna's hysterical screams filled the air.

Elliot symbolically prayed for Kevin on Frederick's behalf.

In the guest area, Nicholas frowned and asked Frederick, "Why are you here?"

"I came to find you," Frederick said, sitting down and lighting a cigarette.

Nicholas frowned again, "Couldn't you have called? You know your aunt has a big issue with you right now! Kevin's death has already made her miserable enough, and now you're here to cause more trouble. Frederick, she's your aunt, your father's sister."

Frederick sneered, "Her son died. What does that have to do with me?"

Nicholas was puzzled.

Frederick said, "The way you're talking, it's like you're accusing me of killing Kevin."

Suddenly bringing up this topic, everyone around perked up their ears to listen. No one wanted to miss this gossip.

Frederick generously gave them the chance to gossip.

He called over Kevin's father, Roy Brooks, and the main members of the Valdemar family, as well as some others.

Nicholas didn't know what Frederick was up to and asked with a dark face, "Frederick, what are you trying to do?"

"I've got some questions I couldn't figure out, so I came to ask you," Frederick replied.

"What can't be said over the phone? Why do you have to bring it up in front of everyone?" Nicholas demanded.

"It's clearer face-to-face."

Nicholas was clearly annoyed. "Alright, what is it?"

Frederick's expression remained indifferent. "I want to know what you talked to Joe about before Kevin's accident."

At the mention of Joe, Nicholas's face changed dramatically. He stared at Frederick with wide eyes.

The people around, all sharp-minded, noticed something was off and started whispering.

"Who's Joe?"

"I think I know. A while ago, Kevin and his friends bullied a woman, and she later committed suicide by jumping off a building. Joe seems to be her younger brother."

"So, does this mean Joe killed Kevin?"

"If no one helped him, Joe wouldn't have had the chance to get close to Kevin. I guess he's just a pawn, and there's a mastermind behind him."

Everyone looked at Nicholas with various expressions.

Nicholas's face turned red with anger. "Nonsense! Frederick, are you implying that I ordered Joe to kill Kevin?"

"No, I'm just curious. Before Kevin's accident, you met with Joe. Afterward, you sent people to hunt Joe down. Why? What did Joe do to offend you?" Frederick stated calmly.

He was almost accusing him of "silencing a witness."

Nicholas was breathing heavily, almost gasping for air. "What nonsense are you talking about?! I don't even know Joe."

Frederick calmly took out a photo. It was a picture of Nicholas and Joe chatting together.

Nicholas was so shocked he stood up from his chair. Everyone was stunned!

Frederick didn't want to harm Joe and didn't directly say he was the killer. But with things said to this extent, the Valdemar family members already understood what was going on.

Frederick then returned to his usual cold demeanor. "Dennis is my priceless gem. Anyone who dares to mess with Dennis, I won't kill them; I'll make them wish they were dead!"

Frederick finished speaking, stood up, and looked down at Nicholas. "And don't take me for a fool. If you want to use me or frame me, you better make sure you have the brains and means to do it!"

Frederick left a cold remark and then walked away. The whole place fell silent.

No one knew how long it took before Anna suddenly rushed over, grabbed Nicholas's wrist, knelt in front of him, and with red eyes, questioned, "Dad! Tell me, what is going on?!"

Nicholas, breathing heavily, pushed Anna away forcefully and roared, "You believe Frederick's divisive words! Foolish! Stupid!"

Nicholas finished speaking and left the scene under the escort of his bodyguards.

Anna screamed in agony, "Dad! You've ruined me! You might as well take my life..."

The other members of the Valdemar family looked at Anna, then at Nicholas's retreating figure, all in shock! They all thought Frederick had killed Kevin, but now...

Nicholas got back into the car and fainted on the spot. His men quickly fed him a pill to revive him.

His men comforted him, "Calm down, sir. Although Frederick accused you publicly, he has no evidence! Without it, his words are empty, and no one will believe it!"

"Hurry, contact 'Always IsaBabe's'. I need to talk to him today! As long as he's willing to help me, I'll give him that thing today!"

Mentioning that thing, his confidant's eyes widened. "Are you sure?"

"Do it!" Nicholas roared hysterically.
