Chapter 65 He's Not Justin, He's Dennis
He frowned, looking all kinds of impatient. "What do you want?"
Isabella was caught off guard. "You dragged me here early to cook, and now you want to sleep?"
Frederick just kept frowning. Last night, he found Isabella, brought Dennis over, and then sat on the living room sofa all night, thinking about his mom, Dennis's illness, and the woman in his heart. No sleep at all.
So, he went to find Isabella early today. She didn't know the situation and felt it was unfair that he wouldn't let her sleep while he went to sleep himself.
"Is this how you do things? If you're tired, you should sleep and then come find me. Instead, you called me over and now you want to sleep. What do you take me for? I..."
"Debt slave."
Isabella swallowed her words. "Fine! You're fine! You're capable! You're amazing!"
Frederick replied, "If you're not happy, pay me back."
Isabella was furious. "Who said I'm not happy? Can't you see? I'm super happy and totally convinced!"
"If you're convinced, then act like it."
She really wanted to slap him! "What do you want from me?" he asked.
Isabella suppressed her anger. "I want to ask what you want for breakfast? What should I make?"
"It's you cooking, not me. Figure it out yourself."
"How would I know your preferences?"
"Don't try to please me on purpose; it won't work. It'll just annoy me."
"Who wants to please you on purpose?! I'm asking what Dennis likes to eat!"
Frederick frowned. Dennis didn't have any particular preferences. Except for his mother, Dennis wasn't interested in anything. "Just make whatever you want!"
Frederick closed the door. Isabella was about to retort when the door opened again, and he warned, "I can still sleep for another hour, don't disturb me!"
Isabella gritted her teeth in anger. What to do if she wanted to hit someone? She wanted to kill him right now!
Isabella stood at the door for a long time, unable to think of a solution. Helpless, she could only comfort herself in her heart. While making breakfast, she chanted in her mind. Not knowing Dennis's preferences, she decided to make egg pancakes. At this moment, she was beating the eggs with great force, as if she wasn't beating eggs.
An hour later, just as Isabella finished making breakfast, two adjacent doors opened simultaneously. Frederick and Dennis appeared at their respective doorways at the same time. Dennis was like an emotionless machine. If he didn't have an episode, he woke up at 6:30 every morning. Over time, Frederick also got used to waking up naturally at this time.
Frederick looked at Dennis, his gaze soft. "Dennis, good morning."
Dennis didn't speak, his expression indifferent, wooden, and cold. Dennis took a step towards the bathroom but suddenly noticed the commotion in the kitchen! He frowned, his expression changing instantly! Looking at Isabella's back, he turned angrily to Frederick.
Frederick explained, "Dennis, this is the nanny Elijah found for us. I'm busy with work and can't always be with you. We need a nanny to cook and do housework."
"Get her out! Get her out!" Dennis was shaking with rage.
Frederick quickly squatted down, holding his shoulders. "Dennis, calm down, listen to me..."
"Out! Out! Out!"
"Dennis..."
"Ah!" A scream came from inside the house just as Frederick was about to say something.
Both Frederick and Dennis turned to look. Isabella was staring at them, eyes wide with shock.
Frederick, worried she'd upset Dennis, scolded coldly, "What's the fuss about?"
Isabella was terrified! She rushed over, pushed Frederick aside, and carried Dennis back to the bedroom, locking the door in one swift motion.
Before Dennis could speak, she lowered her voice and asked, "Justin, why are you here?"
Dennis looked puzzled.
"Speak! Why are you here? Did you follow me?"
Dennis stayed silent.
"Didn't I tell you last night that I was going to the kindergarten with Freya today? Who told you to follow me?"
Dennis frowned.
Isabella was anxious. "Are you trying to drive me crazy?!"
Her heart was pounding. Justin was exposed! Eric would definitely fight her for custody! Even if he was bankrupt, he was still richer than her. At least he had a car and a house, but she had nothing. And she was still married. If Hugo and Justin stayed with her, it would mean they had a stepfather. The court would definitely favor Eric for custody.
'What to do, what to do? What leverage did she have to fight him?' she thought, pacing back and forth, almost panicking.
"Isabella, open the door!" Frederick called from outside.
Isabella, flustered, walked to the window, opened it, and the cold wind hit her face. She shivered, becoming a bit more clear-headed. She looked out the window and shivered again. She originally wanted to escape with Dennis through the window, but it was too high, and jumping would be dangerous.
"What to do?"
"Get out!" Dennis suddenly spoke.
Isabella was stunned. "What? Get out? Justin, you're something? You dare to talk to me like that? Just wait, see if I don't spank you when we get home!"
"Get out!" Dennis said again with a dark face! He was only a few years old, but his gaze was as cold as ice, just like Frederick when he was angry.
No? Something's wrong. Isabella looked at Dennis and realized something was off. Justin was mischievous, but he had never looked at her like this. Justin was always good at making her happy, always smiling. Looking at his clothes... And there was no Dennis in this room. No, no, he wasn't Justin, he was Dennis! Dennis looked so much like Justin?
Isabella was still in shock when Dennis opened the door, glared at Frederick standing at the door, and rushed into the dining room. He picked up the dishes on the table and threw them on the floor!
Frederick's brow furrowed, and he rushed over. "Dennis!"
Isabella snapped out of it and rushed out of the room. Seeing Dennis smashing things, she held her breath, her pupils dilated. "Dennis."
"Out!" Dennis grabbed a plate and smashed it at her feet.
Isabella held her breath and took a step towards Dennis. "Dennis, calm down, calm down."
