Chapter 141 Dennis VS Hugo and Justin

Frederick was floored and blurted out, "We went."

"We went?"

"Yeah, you came with me. Don't you remember?"

Dennis frowned, "All I remember is sleeping the whole time."

Frederick looked at Dennis, puzzled.

Dennis asked again, "Besides you and Isabella, who else has been to my room?"

"No one else, why?"

Dennis gave him a suspicious look, then turned and left without another word.

Frederick looked tense!

He stared at the doorway for a bit, then grabbed his phone and called Isabella.

At that moment, Isabella was chatting with Justin about Blizzard.

"Justin, can you tell if Blizzard is a boy or a girl?" she asked.

Justin puffed up his chest, "Of course, he's just like me, a sunny and handsome boy."

"Is it time to find a girlfriend?"

Justin's face turned red as he mumbled, "Mommy, I'm still a kid. Didn't you say kids can only find girlfriends when they grow up?"

Isabella chuckled, "I was talking about Blizzard, not you."

"Oh, Blizzard. He can't find a girlfriend either; he's still young. Plus, his kind are all abroad. If we want to find him a girlfriend, we'd have to go back. Didn't you say we wouldn't be going back anytime soon?" Justin asked.

"That's right, we won't be going back," Isabella said, feeling a bit down.

Blizzard was still young and couldn't find a girlfriend.

To find his kind, they would have to go abroad.

Well, she couldn't make that happen!

Just as she was feeling bummed, her phone rang. She glanced at the caller ID and frowned.

'Why is he calling so late?' she wondered.

Isabella stepped aside to answer. Before she could say anything, Frederick's anxious voice came through, "Dennis is in trouble; come quick!"

Isabella was shocked, "What's wrong with Dennis?"

"Come and I'll tell you!" Frederick hung up abruptly, leaving Isabella in a panic.

She didn't waste any time, quickly changed clothes, and asked Freya to watch over Hugo, Justin, and Paul as they slept, then hurried out the door.

"What happened? Mommy looked really worried," Justin asked curiously.

Hugo thought for a moment, "She mentioned Dennis. It might be something about today's family memorial event. Justin, come with me to check it out. Paul, you stay here and cover for us. If Freya comes in, tell her we're in the bathroom."

Paul nodded, "Got it."

Hugo, Justin, and Paul divided their tasks. One stayed to distract Freya, while the other two secretly followed Isabella to Sunnyvale Community.

Half an hour later, Isabella quickly asked Frederick as soon as she saw him, "What happened to Dennis?"

"Let's talk in the study." Frederick closed the door and led her into the study.

Elijah was also there. They greeted each other with serious expressions.

Frederick frowned deeply, "Dennis doesn't remember today's family memorial; he just remembers sleeping."

Isabella's breath caught, "You talked to him about the family memorial event again?"

"He brought it up himself," Frederick replied.

Isabella was terrified, her heart racing.

Was the truth about to come out?

She didn't know how to respond when Frederick suddenly said, "I think he has a split personality."

Isabella's eyes widened, blinking rapidly.

Elijah frowned, "That's possible! Split personality is a type of psychological disorder. When a person's inner feelings are suppressed to a certain extent, another personality can emerge. The main personality retreats, and the body is taken over by another personality. Whether it's their character or preferences, everything changes. To outsiders, it seems like they've become a different person."

Frederick's face was grim, "During today's family memorial event, I noticed he was sometimes mature and composed, speaking eloquently, and other times he was impulsive and lively. After coming back, he turned cold again! He might have three personalities!"

"Three?"

"Yeah."

Elijah's face was serious. "The more personalities there are, the more it messes with the main one. Usually, the switch happens under some strong trigger. The fact that Dennis switched between three personalities in one day means his condition is really bad."

Frederick lit a cigarette, took a deep drag, and looked agitated.

As they kept talking, Isabella stood there, too scared to say a word.

She didn't know that Justin had also gone to the cemetery today, but she knew Dennis didn't have a split personality.

The reason Frederick thought this was because Hugo had taken Dennis's place!

She knew this very well, but she didn't dare to say it.

If she told them Dennis didn't have a split personality, how would she explain Dennis's personality changes?

Frederick would definitely ask for details!

But if she didn't say anything and let them worry, she'd feel guilty.

Feeling panicked and confused, Isabella decided to step out. "You guys keep talking, I need to use the restroom."

She left the study to calm down in the bathroom.

Frederick and Elijah didn't notice anything unusual.

Elijah continued, "Don't worry. Tell me everything that happened today in detail. Once I understand his personalities better, I'll pay him a visit."

Meanwhile, Hugo and Justin had just climbed up through the pipes.

Seeing Dennis's room completely dark and silent, they assumed Dennis was asleep.

Gently pushing open the window, Hugo and Justin climbed in.

But as soon as they stood up, Dennis suddenly sat up!

In the moonlight, the three of them stared at each other, all equally shocked.

Especially Dennis, who had never seen Hugo and Justin before and had no idea they existed!

His shock was indescribable! It was almost like seeing a ghost.

Hugo and Justin already knew about Dennis. Their shock came from thinking Dennis was asleep, only to find him awake.

They had come out of concern for Isabella, not to meet Dennis, and hadn't intended for him to know about their existence, so they were quite bewildered.

The room was very quiet, the three little ones staring at each other, none daring to make a move.

The light came on as Dennis turned on the bedside lamp.

Now they could see each other more clearly!

Dennis stared at Hugo and Justin with tightly furrowed brows, his breathing growing more rapid, clearly startled!

Seeing that he was about to call out, Hugo quickly put a finger to his lips, making a shushing gesture, and whispered, "Dennis, don't be scared. We're not ghosts. We're Isabella's sons. I'm Hugo, and this is my brother Justin."

Justin quickly added, "Yeah, look at Blizzard. He played with you these past few days."

Justin showed Dennis the Blizzard on his wrist.

Blizzard had turned white and was sleeping.

Justin flicked its head, saying, "Blizzard, wake up and say hi to Dennis."

Blizzard opened its eyes in annoyance, giving Justin a look that seemed to say: Is it polite to disturb my sleep?

Justin urged it, "Hurry up."

Blizzard reluctantly lifted its head, flicked its tongue at Dennis as a greeting, then immediately coiled back on Justin's wrist and closed its eyes to continue sleeping.

Dennis didn't know Hugo and Justin, but he knew Blizzard.

Even though Blizzard had changed color, he could still recognize it.

Realizing they weren't ghosts or bad guys, Dennis's tense nerves relaxed a bit.

He was both amazed that Blizzard could change color and puzzled as to why Hugo and Justin looked exactly like him.

Seeing that Dennis didn't call out, Hugo felt more at ease and asked gently, "Are you curious why we look just like you?"
