Chapter 57 A Bit Pitiful, but Not Worthy of Sympathy
Frederick grabbed the throw pillow in his hand and threw it over!
He grabbed the coffee cup from the table and forcefully threw it.
Douglas easily dodged away, then took out his phone and snapped a few photos.
"The next time you try to bully me, remember the photo I have in my hand. This is evidence of you being beaten by a woman. If I post it in the group, let's see how you'll face others in the future. The president of the Valdemar Group, the richest man in North America, was actually beaten up by a woman, haha," Douglas taunted.
After flashing a sly smile, Douglas quickly ran away to avoid Frederick hitting him.
Frederick's chest heaved with anger. "Douglas, if you have the courage, don't let me see you again!"
Elliot, who was standing on the side, thought to himself, 'Although those scratch marks on his neck look quite pitiful, who can he blame for this? Knowing that Isabella cared deeply about her children, he still dared to use her child to threaten her. Isn't this asking for trouble?! Being scratched by Isabella was pitiful, but not worthy of sympathy.'
After Isabella arrived on the seventh floor, she did not go directly to find Freya, Hugo, Justin, and Paul.
She sat alone in the lounge area of the movie theater, feeling so angry that her whole body ached.
The despicable man, he was truly despicable!
How could he resort to such despicable means?
Fortunately, she had very strong self-control. If a mother with poor self-control found out her child had been kidnapped, she might have been scared to death!
He really wasn't a good person!
She has said many times that she never thought about getting close to him, but he just wouldn't believe it!
Making mistakes once or twice can be forgiven, but not three or four times.
'This is the last time. If he spouts nonsense again next time, I won't be so kind!' she thought.
For many years in the mountains, besides studying child psychology, medical skills were her main focus.
She could save lives, but she could also destroy them. Don't push her!
While Isabella was still pondering, Freya suddenly appeared.
"Isabella, why are you sitting here?" Freya asked.
"How did you get out? What about the kids?" Isabella asked back.
"They are all in the private room, don't worry. I booked the VIP private room, and there were only a few of us inside, with a server at the door ensuring no one else came in. The kids didn't come out either; they were watching cartoons."
Freya explained, "I was worried about you going to meet that wild man and thought of calling you. What happened? What's going on?"
Isabella sighed deeply. "Before I went out today, I didn't check my horoscope. I felt like I had encountered a lifetime of bad luck, not only meeting a group of despicable women but also running into him looking for trouble."
"A group of despicable women? He came looking for trouble? What does that mean?"
Isabella recounted how Susan brought people to cause trouble. Freya listened with wide eyes, very surprised.
"I can't believe this happened. Why didn't you call me to come back? What if you couldn't beat them?!" Freya said.
"Don't worry, I didn't lose out. I am no longer the same person I used to be, ever since I had children, I changed. Becoming a mother makes people stronger. I was really awesome back then!"
"In today's society, even if you're good at fighting, it's not enough. Alas, it's all about money talks."
"Although money talks, it doesn't mean that we ordinary people have no way out. The government is increasingly supporting us, and we ordinary people still have a say. And today I was very lucky to meet Britney, Albert's mother. Thankfully, with her help, I avoided getting into trouble."
"Albert? The one with bipolar disorder?"
"Yes."
"My goodness, you actually know the Perry family. The Perry family is a true aristocratic family, their family business has been accumulated for generations, very powerful. And Britney is from the Barnes family, the Barnes family is also a true aristocratic family, Albert's uncle is Douglas."
"I only found out today as well."
Freya said, "I heard that the child was quite pitiful, kidnapped two years ago, which led to psychological trauma, and has been living in fear ever since. For such a young child, feeling scared during both day and night was common. It would have been strange if he didn't fall ill.
"Not only was the boy so pitiful, but the adults also had their struggles too. Britney, once renowned as a great beauty in Teronica, gained weight up to 220 pounds after giving birth to children, and couldn't seem to lose it no matter what. However, when Albert had an incident, she managed to shed more than 110 pounds in just two months.
"I heard that she cried for her son all the time. When children get sick, it's not just the children who suffered. The adults suffered just as much with them."
Isabella also felt heartbroken.
In her mind flashed the figure of a person once again.
In the family, there was a child suffering from a mental illness, and the adults were all very sympathetic.
Dennis also had a mental illness, and his mother was not around.
When Britney was feeling down, Benson was there to accompany her, allowing her to express her emotions. This couple could comfort each other when needed.
And that person could only bear all the pain alone, playing the roles of both father and mother.
But how does this change things?
He deserved it!
When Isabella thought of him this time, she no longer felt sympathy for him; instead, she was filled with resentment.
There was a saying, "A poor person must have his despicable side!"
"How did you help Albert though?" Freya asked.
Isabella came to her senses and recounted her interactions with the Perry family.
Freya was very surprised. "The last missing person notice posted by the Perry family was actually looking for you?"
"Yes, over the years, I have read many books and case studies on child psychology, so I consider myself to have a semi-professional level of knowledge in the field."
After all, without a degree or certification, one could only be considered semi-professional.
Freya immediately gave a thumbs-up gesture. "You're really amazing! What about that wild man, what trouble did he get into again?"
Bringing up the matter made Isabella very angry. She angrily recounted the whole thing to Freya.
Freya stared with her eyes wide open. "He's so despicable! He actually kidnapped Paul to scare you!"
"Even though they didn't harm Paul, I was still very angry."
"Of course, it was really infuriating! It was so scary that it could give someone a heart attack. If it were me, I would have been scared to death!"
Freya added, "Isabella, this situation couldn't continue anymore. I felt that the wild man was just like your husband, both not to be underestimated, and they were both very persistent towards you. Please provide me or Daniel with their identity information, and we will figure out a way to help you deal with them!"
Isabella sighed inwardly.
"I'll think about it again. If anything else comes up, I'll come to you for help."
She chose not to disclose the identity of the wild man. First, she wasn't sure if he was truly the father of the child. Secondly, she wanted to avoid any further contact with him to protect the child from being exposed.
As for not mentioning Frederick, it was because she truly didn't want Freya and Daniel to get into trouble with the Valdemar family.
"It depends on you. If you don't want to talk about it, we won't force you. But you should know, we are always here to support you. Whenever you need us, we will stand by your side without hesitation."
Isabella smiled and said, "Love you guys."
Freya touched her cheek. "Okay, don't be sad anymore."
"Yes, at least today I didn't suffer any losses. Just now, I grabbed the wild man a few times, and he couldn't refute, so he didn't dare to fight back. I should hit him a few more times to vent my frustration!"
Isabella smiled again. "You go watch the three of them first, I'll go wash my face real quick, and then I'll come over."
"Okay."
Isabella went to the bathroom to wash her face, then she rearranged her hair. Thinking back on what had just happened, she couldn't help but sigh.
It seemed like bad luck hadn't left her yet. Even going out for a stroll could attract so much trouble.
Suddenly, she heard people gossiping beside her.
