Chapter 11 I Want Results, Understand?

Isabella's anger and frustration reached a boiling point, and she suddenly burst into tears.

"How could you be so heartless? Haven't you caused me enough pain? What more do you want from me?"

Frederick was taken aback by her outburst. In that moment, a scene from the night Dennis's mother cried beneath him flashed through his mind.

The room was dark, and he couldn't see her face clearly. Being under the influence of medication, he was in a daze, and he couldn't even remember her voice.

But he felt her tears when he kissed the corner of her eye.

Frederick couldn't understand why seeing Isabella cry reminded him of Dennis's mother. Yet, in that instant, his heart softened, and he felt pity and compassion. He even wanted to reach out and wipe her tears away.

But the next moment, he furrowed his brow again.

He thought, 'She can't be her. Dennis's mother was much gentler than this madwoman in front of me. I may not have been completely lucid, but I knew she was a gentle girl, like a cat without a temper. And this woman in front of me, she's so fierce, like a tigress.'

Frederick let out a heavy sigh. When he looked at Isabella again, his impatience resurfaced.

"Shut up!"

"Who do you think you are to control me? Do you have any idea how much you've hurt me? Aren't you the least bit guilty? Do you even have a conscience? Are you still human?"

Isabella's heart ached, and her tears flowed more freely.

She thought that by now, she would have been able to forget all the pain and suffering. But when she looked at Frederick's face, she realized that it was impossible.

She thought, 'He ruined me six years ago, and now he's causing trouble for me again. What do I owe him? I can't get a divorce, and without the birth certificate, we can't leave Teronica. And suddenly, I'm burdened with a ten-million-dollar debt. This damn fate is just too cruel. Is God blind? Why does He only pick on me? This is too much to bear, I'm in so much pain.'

This was the first time Isabella had lost control since having her child.

She had not felt such deep despair since becoming a mother.

But today, after seeing Frederick, she felt like she was losing her mind.

Frederick didn't know that she was the person he had been desperately searching for, and he couldn't understand what she was saying.

He thought it was because she suddenly owed ten million dollars, and that this huge sum of money had caused a drastic change in her life, so she resented him.

Because of this, Frederick became even more annoyed with Isabella.

Her son had damaged his car, but she showed no remorse and instead harbored resentment. Her way of handling things was problematic.

If Frederick hadn't needed to ask her something, he would have thrown her out already.

"You better shut up!" Frederick threatened angrily, completely losing his patience.

Isabella, like a frantic little beast, roared at him, wanting to bite him. Frederick clenched his jaw.

"If you cry one more time, you'll never see your child again."

Isabella immediately held back her tears.

"What did you say?!"

"If you don't believe me, you can try!"

Isabella fell silent.

The thing that troubled her the most in this world was money.

But what she cared about the most were her children.

Isabella instinctively closed her mouth, covering it with her hand to prevent herself from crying out.

She looked at Frederick with a mixture of frustration, anger, and fear.

Frederick stared back at her with a sense of superiority.

Isabella quickly gave in and looked away first.

She calmed down and felt a sense of relief.

She thought, 'If he is really that man, and I tell him what happened back then, what if he tries to take my child? From what I see now, he seems to be doing well. His car is worth tens of millions of dollars. If he tries to take my child, I won't stand a chance. I was really impulsive just now, I almost exposed myself. And what if he just looks like that savage man? I was so rude in front of him.'

Isabella took a deep breath to calm herself down.

Frederick, seeing her calm down, asked, "So, what happened yesterday?"

Isabella looked up at him and asked, "What, what happened?"

"Who saved you? Where did you go after being rescued? And what was your intention in approaching me? Did you want my money or my life?"

Isabella was completely bewildered. "When did I try to get close to you? Yesterday, you came to my door and took me away. Then the building suddenly caught fire, and I ran away in the chaos. I didn't have any intention to get your money or..." Isabella paused.

If he was really that savage man, she would have wanted to kill him!

"And what?" Frederick asked.

Isabella pouted and mumbled, "I didn't want your life either!"

"Do you think I would believe you?"

"What? Whether you believe it or not, I'm telling the truth!"

Frederick's face darkened. "Where did you stay last night?"

Yesterday, he sent someone to the motel to find her, but she was nowhere to be found. The motel owner said they left without checking out.

With Frederick's current abilities, not being able to find someone in Teronica meant that person had covered their tracks. Ordinary people couldn't hide so well. Of course, Isabella didn't know that Hugo had tampered with the surveillance.

She frowned and said, "What does it matter to you where I stayed?"

Frederick's face turned cold.

Isabella's heart skipped a beat in fear.

He was quite intimidating when he was angry.

She had been impulsive, venting her emotions like a little tiger. Now, she calmed down and knew to be afraid.

Isabella shrank her neck. "That's my private matter. I can't disclose it."

"Is it that you can't disclose it, or that you're intentionally hiding something?"

"Why would I intentionally hide something? I don't owe you anything."

Isabella thought about the ten million dollars, and she didn't finish her sentence. She suddenly thought of something. She angrily took out her phone and found a photo to show Frederick.

"I asked my son yesterday. It was indeed him who damaged your car, but look, it was your people who started it. He did it to vent his anger for his brother."

Frederick looked at the photo and frowned.

On the child's fair little leg, there was a large bruise. It looked painful.

Isabella said, "This injury was caused by your woman. She should be your wife. This is child abuse! I can sue her!"

Frederick was silent.

Isabella continued, "There is surveillance at the train station. If you don't believe me, you can go and check it." Frederick didn't doubt it.

He knew Alison's character very well.

But he felt that it was Alison's mistake, and he didn't think it had anything to do with him.

"I 'm not the one who hurt your son, but my car was destroyed by your son."

Isabella widened her eyes, unable to refute.

Frederick was not the one at fault.

Even if he and that woman were a couple, Isabella couldn't blame him.

"And the injury on my hand was also caused by you," Frederick added.

Isabella looked at the bite mark on his wrist, shrank her neck, and felt a little guilty.

She didn't know what to say, and Frederick had already changed the subject.

"If you don't want to be locked up and lose your children, you better tell me."

"What do you want me to say?"

"What was your purpose in approaching me? Who was behind it?" Isabella felt wronged.

"I told you, I didn't intend to get close to you, and no one was behind me!"

Frederick obviously didn't believe her. "If you don't tell the truth, the consequences will be serious."

"I'm telling the truth!"

Frederick became impatient. "Elliot! Hand her over to the police. Don't let her out without my permission!"

The car door was opened the next second, and Elliot stood by the car.

"Ms. Beniere, please get out."
