Chapter 201 I Also Have a Brother Now?
In the ward, Isabella was still nervous. As soon as she saw Dennis return, she quickly asked in a low voice, "Dennis, did you tamper with Mr. Jenkins' paternity test?"
Dennis helped Hugo and Justin cover it up, answering, "Yes."
"You're amazing! How did you manage it in such a short time?"
Dennis lied, "I called someone to put a fake test result in the file. Don't worry, Mommy. Daddy and Uncle Elijah don't know. And I just talked to Daddy; he won't force you to do the test anymore."
Isabella was both surprised and delighted as she questioned, "Really?"
"Yes!"
Isabella was very excited. "That's great!"
Finally, she didn't have to worry about the paternity test anymore!
She curiously asked, "Dennis, he's so hard to communicate with. How did you persuade him?"
Dennis said, "Daddy listens to me and cares about my feelings. I didn't want him to pursue our relationship anymore, and he immediately agreed.
You can live peacefully now. With me here, I'll protect you, Mommy. Daddy won't dare to do the test again."
Isabella was deeply moved. She held Dennis's little face and kissed him. She said happily, "Dennis is so considerate!"
Dennis's little face turned red. Being kissed by Mommy made him a bit shy.
He pursed his lips, held his breath, and stiffened his small body, staying quiet for a while before speaking again, "Mommy, do you remember what you promised Dennis?"
Isabella knew what Dennis was talking about and was silent for a moment.
She could never be with Eric. Agreeing to spend some time with him was just a waste of time, but if it made Dennis happy, it was worth it.
"Yes, Mommy remembers. Don't worry, I won't break my promise. I'll spend some time with him and see," said Isabella.
Dennis was so happy that he wanted to kiss Isabella, too.
But he didn't take action. He just stared at Isabella, his breathing becoming erratic, but he didn't dare to kiss her.
Instead, his little face turned bright red.
"Why is Dennis's face suddenly so red? Are you feeling unwell?"
Dennis quickly looked away, his heart racing as he answered, "No."
Isabella, worried, touched Dennis's forehead. After confirming he didn't have a fever, she picked him up and put him back on the bed, saying, "Dennis, rest for a while. I'll call you when the food is ready."
"Okay, Mommy, can you make a portion for Daddy too?" Dennis looked at Isabella with hopeful eyes.
Isabella hesitated for two seconds, then nodded. "Alright."
She didn't want to make food for him, but she couldn't bear to refuse Dennis.
While Isabella was cooking, Dennis texted Hugo, briefly explaining the situation with Isabella and Frederick.
Hugo and Paul were in a good mood.
Because Frederick agreed not to investigate Isabella anymore, Isabella wouldn't have to live in constant fear.
But Justin had a different opinion and snorted, "Mommy doesn't even like him, and she has to spend time with him. Isn't that torturing Mommy? Facing someone she doesn't like every day, Mommy would feel nauseous all the time."
Hugo said, "As long as he doesn't investigate Mommy, Mommy can get along with him peacefully."
" Mommy will never like him. It's a waste of time!" Justin retorted.
"It's not a waste. If Mommy still doesn't like Frederick after this period, Dennis will come with us. We're giving Dennis time, not Frederick."
Justin felt a bit better and pouted as he said, "Mommy will definitely not like Frederick. Our Mommy deserves better!"
The four little guys had very different attitudes towards Isabella and Frederick.
Dennis wholeheartedly wanted Isabella and Frederick to be together; he loved both Mommy and Daddy.
Justin was the opposite. He only had Mommy in his heart! Mommy was a goddess, a queen, and a little princess to him! Frederick was nothing to him! Justin thought Frederick wasn't good enough for his Mommy!
Hugo and Paul were neutral. To them, Mommy was the most important. As for Daddy, he was optional. Whether to keep Daddy depended entirely on Isabella's attitude. If Isabella liked him, they would accept him. If Isabella didn't like him, they wouldn't!
So, the current situation made Dennis the happiest and Justin the most upset. Hugo and Paul were stable as long as their Mommy was at ease.
Hugo affectionately patted Justin's head, remarking, "I know you're a bit upset now, but think about Dennis. We're doing this for Dennis. You're Dennis's second brother, right? As a brother, you should take care of your younger brother, right?"
Justin's eyes lit up as he asked, "Does Dennis have to call me brother?"
"Of course. Dennis joined later, so he should call you brother. I've talked to Dennis about this, and he's happy to be your younger brother."
Justin seemed to cherish this identity and immediately said, "Dennis is my brother. For him, I'm willing to do anything!"
"So, can you accept spending some time for Dennis's sake?"
"Yes! But Frederick must not make Mommy unhappy during this time!"
Hugo said with a smile, "Don't worry, Dennis will take good care of Mommy."
Justin felt better and looked at the Blizzard on his wrist, speaking, "As the second brother, I should prepare a gift for Dennis. Blizzard, why don't you go back home and bring one of your cousins for Dennis?"
Blizzard was sleeping. After being called, it opened its eyes, looked at its little master, flicked its tongue, and crawled into his sleeve.
Justin pouted as he grumbled, "Stingy; it's for Dennis, not someone else. Dennis is my brother! And your brother, too!"
Blizzard didn't respond and ignored him.
Suddenly thinking of something, Justin asked Hugo, "Hugo, when will Mommy come back?"
Hugo said, "I don't know. Mommy and Dennis just reunited, so she will definitely spend more time with Dennis. What's the matter? Do you need Mommy for something?"
Justin squinted his little eyes, a cunning look in them. He said mysteriously, "I'll tell Mommy when she comes back."
In the hospital, Isabella had already finished cooking, and Dennis took the initiative to call Frederick for dinner.
After talking with Dennis, Frederick was confused. He didn't go back to the ward but went to the smoking area at the end of the corridor to smoke.
Dennis uttered, "Daddy, it's time to eat."
Seeing Dennis coming out of the ward from a distance, Frederick immediately put out his cigarette and walked over.
After smoking and feeling the cold wind, he was much clearer now.
He agreed with Dennis. He indeed felt more guilt than love for Dennis's mother. And even if he had to take responsibility, it didn't necessarily mean he had to marry her. However, he would still try his best to find her!
Once he found her, he would follow her arrangements!
If she were willing, he would be with her.
If she had a family and they couldn't be together, he would give her a large compensation!
No matter what, he had to make up for the mistakes he made back then! He had to fulfill the promises he made!
So, before finding her, he wouldn't get involved with any other woman, including Isabella.
However...
