Chapter 105 Frederick Panicked

After splitting up with Arnold, Isabella just wandered around by the roadside, her mind all over the place.

Eleanor's situation was really getting to her.

Eleanor hadn't left the country, maybe not even Teronica. And now, even her agent was MIA.

All these weird signs pointed to one thing: Eleanor was in deep trouble!

Terrifying images kept popping into Isabella's head.

A filthy, pitch-black basement with no light.

A shady circus in some foreign land, with disabled folks who had their tongues cut out and limbs amputated.

A cold, indifferent iron cage.

Bones scattered in the wilderness.

Human heads turned into specimens in glass cases.

And girls trafficked to the Poorma district.

Every single one of these images made Isabella's heart race with fear.

She was already a scaredy-cat; one horror movie could freak her out for months. Now, with all these terrifying images flooding her mind, she was nearly scared to death.

Isabella kept telling herself, 'Eleanor is fine, Eleanor is fine. Stay calm, don't freak out!'

But no matter how much she tried to calm herself, those horrifying images just wouldn't stop.

"Can you even drive? You must be nuts!" The sudden screech of brakes, honking, and the driver's cursing all erupted at once!

On the road, a black sedan suddenly turned 90 degrees, crossed the median, and headed straight for the sidewalk.

"Watch out!" Someone shouted, snapping Isabella back to reality.

With a powerful roar, the black sedan sped towards her, reaching her in the blink of an eye!

Isabella's eyes widened to the extreme, not even giving her time to scream.

In a split second, a van appeared out of nowhere and crashed directly into the black sedan.

The massive impact sent the black sedan flying several meters, leaving a huge dent in its body.

Realizing the situation was dire, the black sedan sharply turned the steering wheel in an attempt to flee.

But the van didn't give him a chance!

The van accelerated again, ramming the black sedan into a large tree, completely deforming its body and leaving the driver unconscious at the wheel.

Passing drivers and pedestrians were so stunned that they even forgot to scream.

They stared in shock at the scene before them!

It was like a movie, a real-life Fast and Furious!

Frederick sat in the van's driver's seat, glaring ahead. As he unbuckled his seatbelt, he notified Elliot, "Near the hospital. Wake him up and get answers before the cops arrive!"

It was clear that the driver was targeting Isabella, intending to kill her!

If he hadn't come to the hospital to see Dennis and happened to be here, Isabella would have been a corpse by now.

After giving instructions, Frederick hurriedly opened the car door and ran towards Isabella.

Isabella stood there, pale and frozen.

Frederick approached, uttering, "Isabella!"

Isabella lifted her gaze, her delicate face upturned, staring at him in bewilderment.

Her skin was already fair, but now it was even paler, devoid of any color. Her lips trembled, but no sound came out.

She was clearly terrified, scared stiff.

"You..." Frederick started to comfort her, but she suddenly went limp and collapsed.

Eleanor's situation had already scared her half to death, and this accident shattered her last bit of strength.

Her heart couldn't handle the immense fear, and she fainted.

Frederick quickly reached out to catch her!

Isabella fell softly into his arms.

She was like a weightless ball of cotton, or a rootless plant that would be blown away if he let go.

Frederick didn't dare delay. He scooped her up and ran towards the hospital!

At this moment, traffic was completely paralyzed, and the road was a mess of congestion.

The hospital wasn't too far, but on foot, it felt like a marathon.

Frederick didn't care, running with her in his arms.

As he ran, Isabella's arm dangled lifelessly, like a doll, devoid of any vitality.

Frederick's forehead veins bulged, fearing she might die. He kept calling her name, "Isabella, wake up! Isabella! Isabella!"

Isabella seemed to be on the brink of death, her vision clouded with fog, unable to see anything clearly.

She felt like she was floating, weightless, drifting aimlessly.

"Isabella, come back!" A steady voice called from behind.

It sounded like a parent calling a child who hadn't come home for dinner.

Isabella turned her head in confusion but saw no one, only a large hand reaching through the fog.

The palm was broad and the fingers elegantly long, forming a pair of remarkably handsome masculine hands.

Isabella tilted her head, gazing intently at these hands.

The voice called again, "Isabella!"

He seemed angry, as if he would hit someone if she didn't come back.

He was fierce, but Isabella wasn't afraid, only feeling he was like a strict parent.

She floated over, reached out, and placed her hand in his palm.

He immediately grabbed her tightly, pulling her out of the fog.

Isabella coughed hard, her small face turning red, but her eyes remained closed.

Frederick, running and observing her condition, saw her regaining consciousness and felt a bit relieved.

But he didn't dare relax, rushing into the hospital, into the emergency room. He shouted, "Quick! Save her!"

After an examination, Isabella was taken to a ward.

She was fine, just scared. Elijah arranged for some nutrients to replenish her energy.

Elliot rushed over, first checking on Isabella and asking, "Is Ms. Beniere okay?"

Frederick stood by the bed, his expression grim, answering, "She's fine! What did you find out?"

"We got the information. Anna sent him. It's probably because of Kevin's death. They had no one to take it out on, so they targeted Ms. Beniere," Elliot replied.

Now the Valdemar family knew that Frederick didn't kill Kevin; it was likely Nicholas.

Nicholas was the killer, but the incident started because of Dennis.

Anna didn't dare take it out on Nicholas or Frederick, so she targeted Isabella.

The reason was simple: Isabella had accidentally saved Dennis, and they were angry!

Frederick seemed to have expected this, his face dark and terrifying. But before he could speak, Isabella's voice suddenly sounded in the room, "Who has no one else to vent their anger on and decides to take it out on me?"
