Chapter 187 The One Who Clings Desperately to Love, It's Her!
What was she afraid of? what was she worried about?
She feared he would discover the child, fight her for the child, and use the child to imprison her, turning her into a caged bird!
She hated him, had no affection for him at all!
He was willing to spend the rest of his life making amends, but she refused!
She wanted no further entanglements with him!
She and her child did not stay!
Isabella flared her nostrils fiercely, determined to deny everything to the end. She stated, "I never had a relationship with you, and it wasn't me who shared a bed with you last night! I admit I did scratch you, but I didn't get into your bed! I slept in the study all night, Dennis can testify for me!"
Coincidentally, when Dennis came looking for her this morning, she was in the study, so Dennis would definitely think she had been sleeping there all night.
Before Frederick could speak, Isabella continued, "Accidents happen, and your feelings can definitely be wrong, especially under the influence of alcohol; the chances of feeling wrong are very high!
Your so-called feelings for me only mean that I have many similarities with the person in your heart, but I am not her!
Let me emphasize again, I had no interaction with you six years ago, and I won't have any in the future either. Don't get any ideas about me or my children!
Also, all the images in your mind right now are fantasies you had while drunk. Last night, apart from me scratching you, nothing else happened! You were dreaming! Calm down and think it over!"
Isabella finished in one breath, pushed Frederick away, and took advantage of his stunned state to quickly open the door and escape.
Frederick stood there in a daze, carefully pondering her words.
Dennis can testify that she slept in the study all night? Then who was in his arms?
Could it be that he really imagined it all because he was drunk?
Frederick frowned deeply and turned to find Dennis to confirm where Isabella had slept the previous night.
But Dennis was still asleep, and Frederick didn't want to disturb him, so he walked back to his bedroom to call.
On the messy bed, a few strands of long black hair caught his attention.
He picked one up from the pillow and examined it closely. The color and length were exactly like Isabella's hair!
Isabella hadn't dyed her hair; her waist-length hair was a rare, shiny black, striking in their uniqueness!
She denied being in his bed last night, so why was her hair on his bed?
Moreover, it wasn't just a single strand! The numerous hairs were left behind during an intimate encounter between the two in bed!
She said she hadn't been in his bed. She was lying!
His feelings weren't wrong; it was her! It was definitely her!
She just didn't want to admit it or face him!
Frederick, emotionally charged, turned to chase after Isabella, but suddenly remembered the paternity test and hesitated.
If Isabella really is Dennis's biological mother, why did the test report indicate otherwise?
Could it be that she was the one with him last night, but not the one at the airport six years ago?
But his feelings shouldn't be wrong!
He had only been with her, even though it was under the influence of drugs, he clearly remembered every detail of their encounter!
That feeling couldn't be wrong!
But the paternity test was done by Elijah himself; how could it be wrong?
Was it his feelings that were wrong, or was there something wrong with the paternity test?
Frederick frowned deeply, hesitated for a moment, and then called Elliot, "Notify everyone that Isabella is not allowed to leave Teronica without my permission. Seal off the neighborhood, and I want to know Isabella's whereabouts at all times! Also, tell Elijah to come see me!"
After hanging up, Frederick collected a few strands of Isabella's hair and went to Dennis's room.
He gently plucked a few strands of Dennis's hair and placed them with Isabella's.
He was going to redo the paternity test!
And he would have it done by different people in different places!
Meanwhile, Isabella hurriedly returned home.
Freya, Hugo, Justin, and Paul were packing. Seeing her return, they quickly gathered around.
"Isabella!"
"Mommy!"
Isabella didn't want Hugo, Justin, and Paul to notice anything unusual, so she forced a smile, asking,
"Is everything packed?"
"Yeah, Mommy, did something happen? Why are we leaving so suddenly?"
Isabella lied, "I have an urgent matter to attend to in another city. I just got the news this morning, and it's quite rushed."
Hugo was half-convinced, inquiring, "Will we come back after we leave?"
He was very concerned about this because his biological brother Dennis, was still here!
Dennis hadn't reunited with Mommy yet!
If they left, they would definitely have to take Dennis with them; they couldn't leave Dennis alone!
Isabella stammered in response, "I'm not sure yet. We'll see how things go. You guys, hurry up and pack. I'll check the rooms to see if there's anything else we need to take. We'll leave soon."
After sending Hugo, Justin, and Paul off, Isabella quickly went to her bedroom, and Freya immediately followed.
As soon as the door closed, Freya anxiously asked, "What happened?"
Isabella's tears started flowing uncontrollably, and only at this moment did she dare to cry out loud.
Hugo, Justin, and Paul were eavesdropping at the door, their hearts breaking.
Justin and Paul impulsively wanted to go in and comfort Isabella, but the rational Hugo stopped them, communicating with his eyes.
"Stay calm, let's hear what Mommy has to say and find out what happened."
Inside, Freya was panicking, quickly sitting on the bed and hugging Isabella, wiping her tears. She comforted her hurriedly, "It's okay. No matter what happened, you're safe now. If anyone dares to come to my house and bully you, I'll fight them!"
Isabella choked out, uttering, "Freya, he recognized me."
"What?" Freya was shocked, and so were Hugo, Justin, and Paul outside the door.
Isabella didn't go into details, only the result.
She stated, "He got drunk last night and remembered the past. I happened to be there, and he found the same feeling from back then and recognized me!"
Freya was alarmed, asking, "Did you two confront each other?"
Isabella nodded, then shook her head as she stated, "He's very sure, but I denied it. Yet, my denial is useless, it only bought me a little more time to escape. He'll soon confirm it and come after me and the kids."
"No wonder you're in such a hurry to leave. But you haven't divorced yet, and the kids' identities aren't settled. Are you just going to leave like this?"
Isabella sniffled as she spoke, "The divorce can wait. We'll take it one step at a time. As for the kids' identities, I'll settle them down first and then deal with it."
Freya comforted her, "If you've made up your mind, then go boldly. I'll take care of the kids' schooling. I'm a preschool teacher and know many colleagues in different cities. Once you're settled, I'll help find schools for them."
Isabella moved and hugged Freya tightly, remarking, "Freya, thank you!"
Hugo, Justin, and Paul's schooling was Isabella's top concern!
Freya said, "Don't mention it! Although I'm reluctant to see you and Hugo, Justin, and Paul leave, since you've decided, I won't hold you back. Pack up and go quickly.
The later you leave, the more dangerous it gets. Once he confirms it, you and the kids might not have a chance to leave. We'll stay in touch, and once you're settled, I'll come visit you."
"Okay!" Isabella nodded quickly, wiped her tears, and started packing.
They didn't know that the entire neighborhood was already surrounded by Frederick's people, and Isabella, Hugo, Justin, and Paul couldn't leave!
Isabella was packing anxiously when suddenly, her hands froze!
She remembered a significant event, something even more momentous than the divorce!
