Chapter 14 She Is Frederick's Wife
Frederick frowned at Isabella, his eyes filled with disdain and complexity.
Elliot greeted her with a smile, "Ms. Beniere, we meet again."
Isabella sensed that they had seen everything and swallowed nervously.
Before she could speak, Glen's voice came from behind her, "E-Elliot? You're here too. That's great. Please help me check. I was just ambushed!"
Due to Alison's rescue of Dennis, the entire Walter family benefited.
Glen was warm towards Frederick and familiar with Elliot.
From his position, he could only see Elliot, so he sought Elliot's help.
Isabella felt awkward, her expression constantly changing. She looked at Elliot in shock.
They actually knew each other! She was really unlucky!
Isabella saw Elliot waiting for Frederick to speak, so she quickly walked over, tiptoed to Frederick's ear, and whispered, "He tried to assault me, so I... Don't talk nonsense."
Frederick disliked women getting close to him. He looked at her with disgust and pushed her away.
Isabella thought he didn't want to cooperate. She quickly hugged his neck and said anxiously, "I was just here for a part-time job. I didn't expect him to be interested in me. He wanted to humiliate me, so I had to... I was just defending myself."
"Get lost."
"Think about your ten million dollars. If something happens to me, you won't get a penny!"
Frederick asked, "Are you threatening me?"
His voice was cold, and Isabella shrank back in fear. She was about to explain when Glen suddenly approached.
“Eric, you're here too. You..."
Isabella was afraid that Frederick would expose her. She gathered her courage. She had to quickly silence him and prevent him from speaking!
Frederick, Elliot, and Glen were all stunned.
It was as if time had frozen, and no one said a word.
Everyone was silent!
Isabella's eyelashes trembled gently, and her heart pounded.
It wasn't because she was shy about kissing Frederick, but because she was nervous.
She knew Glen was a big shot. If he found out she had beaten him, she would be in trouble tonight.
Elliot snapped out of it. He was surprised to see that Frederick didn't push Isabella away.
Frederick actually allowed her to kiss him!
He, who had been looking for that woman, was finally going to change his target.
Elliot was very excited!
He didn't want Glen to be the third wheel, so he pulled Glen away.
"Mr. Walter, let's talk over here."
"No, Frederick, he..."
Isabella relaxed only after seeing Glen leave.
She quickly let go of Frederick, thanked him with a blushing face. Then she pulled a handful of money out of her pocket and shoved it into Frederick's hand and ran off in a panic.
Frederick watched her leave, his brows furrowed.
This was the first time in six years that he had been so intimate with a woman.
Just now, he felt familiar and wonderful, a feeling that reminded him of that night six years ago.
Her lips were so soft that night.
That was why he didn't push Isabella away immediately.
Glen, sensing something was wrong, let go of Elliot's hand and turned back.
“Eric, do you know her?"
Frederick looked down at the two twenty-dollar bills and one ten-dollar bill in his hand, feeling displeased.
He handed the money to Elliot with a sullen face, then walked to the private room. He ignored Glen and didn't say much.
Elliot looked at the fifty-dollar bill in his hand.
He thought, 'Is this the hush money Isabella is giving Frederick? Or is it the money she paid because she kissed him? Is hush money plus a kiss worth only fifty dollars? Doesn't this make Frederick seem a little worthless?'
Glen saw that Frederick was unhappy and didn't dare to chase after him. He grabbed Elliot and asked, "Does Frederick know that woman who sells alcohol?"
Elliot put the money in his pocket and politely replied, "They've met twice."
"What's their relationship? How dare she kiss Frederick? How could he let her kiss him? He's clearly Alison's man!"
Elliot couldn't say anything about Frederick and Isabella. But about Alison, he couldn't help but retort, "Mr. Walter, you should be clear about the relationship between Frederick and Ms. Walter. Some things, you better not say. In case it makes Frederick unhappy, it's not good for you, Ms. Walter, and the Walter family."
Elliot smiled as a reminder and politely brushed off Glen's hand. Then he walked away.
Glen was a little annoyed. He didn't care about the pain and took out his phone to call Alison.
"Alison, something happened! Something big happened! Frederick kissed another woman!"
In the VIP room, there were many people and it was lively. Everyone saw Frederick come in and greeted him, “Eric."
Frederick nodded, indicating that they should continue playing.
He walked straight to the middle and sat down. Then he crossed his legs and lit a cigarette.
Douglas saw that his mood was not good and asked, "What's wrong? You rarely agree to come out and play. Why are you still not happy?"
Frederick's mind was on Isabella. Her kiss had disturbed his mind.
He didn't explain and asked, "How is Albert now?"
Albert is Douglas's nephew.
Douglas said, "When I went to the hospital to see him this afternoon, he was still sleeping. I heard from my sister that he had another seizure today. He ran out of the hospital and onto the main road in a fit of anger. Fortunately, he met a woman who knew medicine. Otherwise, the consequences would have been serious. And Dennis? How has he been recently?"
Frederick flicked the cigarette ash. "He's still the same."
Douglas said, "Don't be too sad. Elijah said that there is a high probability of miracles in mental illness. They are still young. Perhaps, as they grow older, they will be able to overcome the disease."
Frederick smoked and didn't respond.
Albert's and Dennis's illnesses were different. Albert developed a psychological disorder after being kidnapped, but Dennis's disease was because his obsession with his mother was too deep.
Mental illness needsedto eliminate the troubles in the mind. If Albert can overcome his fear, his illness will naturally be cured.
But Dennis couldn't. If he couldn't find his birth mother in his life, his illness might never be cured. It would only get worse.
Douglas suddenly leaned over to him and blinked. "You smell like a woman's perfume. Do you have a woman with you?"
Douglas was a well-known playboy.
He was very sensitive in this regard.
Frederick snapped out of his thoughts and frowned again. "No."
"Then how do you smell like perfume? It's a very good fruity scent. This women's perfume is very unique. I haven't seen it before. It's like a limited edition. This perfume must be very expensive. The woman who uses it is definitely not an ordinary person."
"Tell me, whose daughter is she? For so many years, no woman has successfully approached you. How did she succeed this time? Is she special?"
