Chapter 169 The Bite Mark Was Left by Dennis's Mother!
Elliot, still in a daze, replied, "In the next room."
Frederick yanked the syringe from his hand and immediately got out of bed, heading straight for the door.
Elliot, mistakenly believing it was Isabella who had rendered him unconscious, hurried to find her and vent his anger, saying, "Eric, I think Ms. Beniere was really scared tonight. Don't frighten her anymore; she's already fainted twice! If something happens to her, Dennis will definitely throw a fit. We're men; let's not hold a grudge against a woman."
Frederick ignored him and quickly made his way to the next room.
However, Isabella was nowhere to be seen in the room.
Frederick's brow furrowed deeply, just like six years ago when he returned to the airport and didn't see her, feeling a sense of panic.
"Where's Isabella?" he asked.
Elijah, still in the room, explained, "She just left. She said it was late and the kids needed to sleep, so she went to pick them up."
Upon hearing this, Frederick turned and walked out, intending to chase after Isabella.
But as he reached the door, he suddenly thought of something and turned to ask Elijah, "Did you personally conduct the last paternity test?"
"Huh? Oh, yes! I did it myself; I didn't even let my assistant intervene. What's the matter?"
Frederick furrowed his brow even tighter, said nothing, and quickly left the room with long strides.
After exiting the hospital building, he broke into a run.
He looked so anxious, as if he was afraid he wouldn't catch up to Isabella.
Elliot hadn't seen Frederick this anxious about anyone other than Dennis in a long time!
He didn't know why Frederick was so desperate to find Isabella, so he could only follow closely behind.
Frederick intercepted Isabella at the hospital entrance!
Isabella had just hailed a taxi and was about to get in when a large hand suddenly appeared, gripping the car door.
The door was slammed shut!
Isabella was startled, her heart nearly leaping out of her chest.
She had hurriedly left the hospital because she had confirmed his identity and wanted to escape, to quickly get Hugo, Justin, and Paul out of his house and far away from him! She hadn't expected him to chase after her!
The taxi driver was also startled. He was about to lose his temper, but seeing Frederick through the window, he quickly stepped on the gas and drove off.
Frederick was clearly not someone to mess with!
Isabella stood by the roadside, her wide eyes filled with fear as she looked at Frederick!
Frederick, with a furrowed brow, glared at her, breathing heavily!
There was a height disparity of approximately eight inches between them, one looking up while the other looked down.
In the cold winter night of Teronica, the wind was particularly chilly, and passersby wrapped their clothes tightly around themselves, shivering.
Yet both of them were sweating!
Their emotions seemed to be running high, each more agitated than the other!
Their gazes were complex, filled with various emotions.
Isabella was nervous, scared, angry, and aggrieved!
Frederick was confused and nervous, as if he had a thousand things to say!
They stared at each other, neither speaking.
Elliot ran over, breaking the silence, "Eric! Ms. Beniere."
Frederick suppressed his emotions, grabbed Isabella's wrist, and pulled her towards a secluded area!
Isabella, emotionally charged, struggled desperately, "Let go of me! What are you doing?"
Frederick remained silent, his grip strong.
Elliot wanted to step forward and say something, but a look from Frederick froze him in place.
The other bodyguards also stayed at a distance, not daring to follow.
When Frederick was displeased, he was truly terrifying!
He forcibly took Isabella to a small park within the hospital grounds, where there was a pavilion, quiet and empty at night.
As soon as Isabella was free, she quickly retreated several steps.
She stood a few feet away from Frederick, wearing a white down jacket, her eyes red as she glared at him, "What do you want to do?"
Frederick's face was stern. "Do you know her?"
"Who?"
"Dennis's mother!"
Isabella hadn't expected him to suddenly mention Dennis's mother and was momentarily stunned. She shook her head, uttering, "No, I don't."
Frederick clearly didn't believe her, gritting his teeth as he warned, "Isabella, you'd better think carefully before you answer."
Isabella frowned as she answered, "I have no connection with her. I don't know her!"
Frederick spoke angrily, "Then tell me, why did you try to take off my clothes tonight? What were you looking for?"
"I..." Isabella bit her lip.
She had tried to take off his clothes to see the bite mark on his shoulder!
She wanted to make a final confirmation. The paternity test might be wrong, but that bite mark couldn't be faked! But she didn't dare say that!
If she did, he would know they had been together six years ago and would start questioning the children's parentage!
Frederick pressed her, saying, "If you can't give me a convincing answer, don't even think about disappearing from my sight for the rest of your life!"
He had guessed that Isabella's attempt to take off his clothes was related to the bite mark on his shoulder! He had only realized this tonight!
The first time they met, Isabella had asked him to take off his clothes. At the time, he thought she was teasing him!
Later, during their interactions, she had sneaked into his room at night, trying to take off his clothes. He had thought she was shamelessly trying to get into his bed!
Today, she had gone crazy trying to get him to take off his clothes. When he refused, she had dared to knock him out and undress herself!
After taking off his clothes, she hadn't done anything else, clearly not intending to molest him!
And she had repeatedly said she didn't like him!
She didn't like him as a person, nor was she after his body. So the most likely reason she was so desperate to take off his clothes was to see the bite mark on his shoulder, to confirm something!
That bite mark was left by Dennis's mother, a fact known only to him and Dennis's mother!
How did Isabella know?
Either Isabella was Dennis's mother.
Or Isabella knew Dennis's mother, and Dennis's mother had told her about it.
Clearly, the answer was the latter. Because he had previously asked Elijah to conduct a paternity test, and the report showed that Isabella and Dennis were not related.
Elijah wouldn't lie to him, so Isabella wasn't Dennis's mother. The answer could only be the latter.
Isabella knew Dennis's mother! That's why he was so desperate to stop Isabella from leaving!
And he wouldn't casually mention the bite mark; it was a secret between him and Dennis's mother! He would only bring it up if he was 100% sure of Isabella's motive tonight.
Both of them had their thoughts, their emotions running high.
Isabella, breathing heavily, looked at Frederick, too nervous to say a word. She vaguely felt that Frederick seemed to know something. He was forcing her to talk about the bite mark!
But she couldn't say a word about it!
"Speak!" Frederick commanded coldly.
Isabella shuddered in fear, "I..."
Frederick's eyes were fierce, and Isabella was in a panic.
Unable to tell the truth and unable to come up with a suitable lie, she could only...
Isabella turned and ran, trying to escape him.
But Frederick afforded her no opportunity, striding a few paces with his long legs, he easily blocked her path.
Isabella ran straight into his chest, her forehead throbbing with pain.
She was like a terrified bird in a cage, her head down, rubbing her aching forehead, and then turned to run in another direction.
Frederick grabbed her arm and forcefully pinned her against the pavilion's pillar.
Isabella's arm was grabbed hard, and her back hit the pillar!
Her arm hurt, her back hurt, and the pain almost brought tears to her eyes.
