Chapter 80 This Marriage Must End
Isabella was still working on her divorce plans, while Frederick had already shown up at the Walter family’s place.
He’d found out that Alison had pushed Susan into hurting Isabella.
Turned out, when Glen had his accident, someone had threatened him to stay away from Isabella, warning that if he messed with her again, they'd take him out next time!
When Alison found out, she lost it. She thought Isabella was trying to steal Frederick, so she got Susan to give Isabella a hard time!
Right now, even though Frederick was mad at Isabella, he was even more pissed at Alison!
Susan went after Isabella because of Douglas, but Alison did it because of him.
Alison was the one pulling the strings, so if anything happened to Isabella, he couldn’t just wash his hands of it.
In a way, it made sense for Isabella to be mad at him!
Plus, Frederick was also ticked off that Alison hadn’t learned her lesson. He’d told her to leave Isabella alone, but she didn’t listen, clearly not taking him seriously!
At the Walter family’s place, Alison’s dad, Bruce, was in a meeting at work. When he heard Frederick was there, he rushed home.
He was all smiles when he saw Frederick. “Frederick, why didn’t you let me know you were coming? I could’ve been here instead of making you wait.”
Frederick’s face was like stone. “No need, I’m here to see Alison and check on Glen.”
Bruce, being a sharp guy, noticed Frederick’s bad mood and started to worry.
He forced a smile. “Looking for Alison, huh? Did she tick you off again?”
Frederick didn’t say a word.
Bruce’s eye twitched nervously, and he quickly added, “Sorry, I’ve spoiled Alison too much, she’s gotten out of hand, even daring to upset you! She thinks she's all that because she saved Dennis. Just wait till she gets back, I’ll deal with her!”
Bruce’s words sounded like he was scolding Alison, but he was really reminding Frederick that Alison had saved Dennis.
Frederick got the hint but stayed silent, waiting for Alison with a stern look.
Bruce discreetly swallowed and picked up his phone to call Alison.
Just then, Alison walked in, shouting, “Frederick! What brings you here today? Got some free time?”
Alison had been out shopping with friends, waiting for news from Susan.
She’d heard that Susan had successfully kidnapped Isabella and was thrilled.
She treated her friends to coffee and a meal to celebrate.
In the middle of her excitement, she got the news that Frederick had come to see her.
Her friends were all envious. "Oh my gosh, Alison is so lucky. We can't even get a glimpse of Mr. Valdemar, but he came to see Alison himself."
"Totally, Alison, spill the beans. When Mr. Valdemar said you two weren't a couple, were you guys just having a fight?"
"Isn't it obvious? It's just a lover's spat. Now that he's come to make up, he might even announce online that Alison is his fiancée."
"Alison, you're so lucky. Frederick's wife can only be you."
"Alison, if you become Frederick's wife, don't forget about us."
Alison was over the moon with their flattery!
It felt like Frederick had really come to make up with her, like she was really going to be Frederick's wife.
Before Frederick could say anything, Alison chimed in, "Frederick, I'm in such a good mood today. If you're free, why don't you go shopping with me?"
Frederick frowned, giving her a cold stare.
Alison, totally clueless about Frederick's bad mood, was still lost in her own happiness.
She added, "Frederick, don't just stare at me, it's embarrassing. If you have something to say, just say it."
Frederick said coldly, "Did you contact Susan?"
Alison's heart skipped a beat, and her face changed instantly. "Frederick, what are you talking about?"
Frederick added, "I told you I don't like people playing games with me. I'm only here because you once saved Dennis."
Alison started to panic!
Frederick asked again, "I'll ask you one last time, did you contact Susan?"
"I... I..."
Bruce, still clueless about what was going on, saw that Frederick was serious and quickly scolded Alison, "Speak up! Tell the truth!"
Alison, feeling wronged, said, "I did contact Susan."
"What for?" Frederick asked.
Facing Frederick's icy stare, Alison said with a twisted expression, "I heard that Isabella caused Susan and Douglas to break up. We're friends, so I went to comfort her."
"And then?"
"Then I told her not to be afraid of Isabella."
"So you suggested that Susan kidnap Isabella and have her gang-raped?"
It was only then that Alison realized Frederick was here to hold her accountable. She quickly said, "I didn't tell Susan to have her gang-raped. That was all Susan's idea. I was just angry. It was Isabella, that bitch, who seduced my uncle and caused him so much trouble!"
"Is she cheaper than you?" Frederick suddenly interrupted her.
