Chapter 127 The Man with Filthy Thoughts
Isabella stormed home, grumbling the whole way.
He thought she had feelings for him, and she could kinda deal with that.
But he actually thought she liked Daniel? Seriously? What a twisted mind!
If it weren't for Dennis, she'd want to stay far away from him and never see him again!
How annoyed was she with him right now? Just thinking about his face made her grit her teeth, wanting to bite him!
At the door, Isabella took a moment to calm down before going in. She didn't want to bring her bad mood home.
Freya, Hugo, Justin, and Paul were all home. As soon as they saw her, Hugo, Justin, and Paul rushed over, shouting, "Mommy!"
Seeing her three sons, Isabella's mood lifted. She hugged and kissed them.
Justin asked, "Mommy, how did it go? Did Blizzard help Dennis?"
"Yeah, Dennis really liked him and didn't want to let him go."
Isabella handed Blizzard back to Justin.
Blizzard immediately perked up upon seeing Justin, snuggling up to his face and acting all cute.
His dark skin turned white, and the little black snake became a little white snake.
Justin praised, "Blizzard, good job! You didn't let me down!"
Isabella smiled, asking, "Can Blizzard play with Dennis again tomorrow?"
"Sure, as long as he doesn't try to take Blizzard from me," Justin agreed eagerly.
"He won't. Dennis is very well-behaved and knows not to take others' things," said Isabella.
"Then I can let him borrow Blizzard for a few more days."
Isabella nodded gently and praised, "Our Justin is the most caring."
She played with the kids for a while and chatted with Freya before calling Hugo into the room alone.
She said earnestly, "Hugo, I've made up my mind. We'll do as you suggested! Today, I had Dennis's dad announce that Dennis is well. Now we just need to create opportunities for everyone to believe it.
By chance, Dennis and his family will be at the memorial on the 5th of next month. It's a good opportunity. Let's plan it well!"
"The 5th of next month?"
"Yes!"
Hugo squinted slightly, looking like a little adult.
"Don't worry, Mommy. Leave it to me. I guarantee it will be foolproof."
"Okay. By the way, you have to give a speech that day. Is that okay?"
"No problem!"
Seeing Hugo's confidence, Isabella felt at ease and her mood improved completely.
After dinner, Isabella and Freya took Justin and Paul downstairs for a walk to digest their food.
Hugo had something on his mind and found an excuse not to go.
As soon as they returned, Justin said to Hugo, "Hugo, there's a psycho in the neighborhood."
"What?"
"The cleaning staff found a dead cat by the wall. A lot of people gathered around to see. I joined the crowd and took a look. The cat seemed to have been dead for several days. It was very dirty, like it had been buried and then washed out by the rain. But that's not the point. The point is, someone killed it by twisting its neck," Justin remarked.
Hugo frowned as he inquired, "Are you sure?"
"Of course, I'm Justin. I can tell the cause of death with one look! Tell me, what kind of normal person would do that to a stray cat?
Kittens are so cute. Most people would want to hug and pet them. Only a psycho would twist its neck."
At the mention of a psycho, Hugo's mind immediately went to the masked guy.
Since spotting him in the park last time, he hadn't seen him again.
He'd been digging for info on this guy but was getting nowhere.
He checked out all of Isabella's potential enemies but came up empty.
Frederick's enemies were too many to count, making it even harder to find a suspect.
So, the masked guy remained a mystery.
"Since there's a psycho around, you and Mommy need to be extra careful when you go for walks. Stay safe," Hugo said.
"Okay, don't worry. With me around, no one can hurt us. Hugo, did Frederick message you?"
Justin stared at Hugo's tablet.
There were tons of messages from Frederick's people, and Hugo had saved Frederick's name.
Hugo said, "He knows I got this thing from Nicholas. He wants it."
"Why does he want it?"
"It's valuable. Everyone wants it."
Justin was curious, asking, "Hugo, is this thing really that powerful?"
Hugo answered, "Yeah, it may not look like much, but it's super powerful."
"Then why don't you use it to make Frederick divorce Mommy?" Justin asked.
"Mommy's been distracted by Dennis's situation lately. She's not in a rush to divorce, and besides..."
Regarding the divorce, Hugo had his own thoughts now because he realized Frederick wasn't entirely useless.
If it weren't for Frederick, Isabella might have been in real trouble when Anna tried to have her hit.
To be fair, Frederick had saved Isabella once.
"And besides what?" Justin was curious.
Hugo replied, "Nothing."
As soon as Hugo finished speaking, the tablet beeped again. This time, it was a message from Nicholas.
Frederick was looking for Always IsaBabe's.
Nicholas was looking for Tony.
They didn't know that Always IsaBabe's and Tony were the same person, let alone that it was Hugo.
"Hugo, didn't you and Nicholas finish your deal? Why is he still looking for you?" Justin asked.
"He wants to team up with me to take down Frederick."
Justin didn't get it, so he asked, "Isn't Nicholas Frederick's grandfather? Aren't they family? Mommy said family should love each other. Why don't they?"
Hugo said, "Normal families do love each other. The Valdemar family is not normal."
Justin pouted and said, "It's better for Mommy to divorce Frederick soon. Don't let Mommy go to their family. Their family is not normal and doesn't deserve our Mommy."
"Yeah, I'll handle it. Now that we have what Frederick wants, we can make them divorce whenever Mommy wants."
Now, Hugo didn't have to worry about the divorce. What troubled him was the masked guy.
The more he couldn't find info on him, the more anxious Hugo got.
He felt like a ticking time bomb, ready to blow at any moment!
The next morning, Elliot came to pick up Isabella.
When they got to Sunnyvale Community, Isabella didn't see Frederick.
Better not to see him. Isabella didn't ask where he went and focused on spending time with Dennis.
She mentioned the family memorial event to Dennis, and Dennis coldly replied, "I'm only going to lay flowers for Grandpa. I don't want to see anyone else!"
Isabella wanted to say more, but Dennis cut her off, "I don't want to talk about it."
Isabella felt helpless, but to avoid upsetting Dennis, she didn't push it.
Time flew by, and soon it was the eve of the family memorial event.
