Chapter 96 Oh No, Something Happened to Dennis!

"He didn't show up! He sent someone else instead!"

"Seriously? That's just too much!" Douglas exclaimed.

"Ask him right now if he even considers himself a man! I've never seen someone so cowardly! We agreed to meet, and he sends a stand-in? What kind of nonsense is that? Breaking promises is not what a real man does; it's shameless! He can't even face a woman? Pathetic! I have zero respect for him."

Isabella's furious rant left Douglas completely speechless.

Even he wouldn't dare to say such things; Isabella was really on fire.

Douglas not only put the phone on speaker but also held it up to Frederick's face, making sure he heard every single word Isabella said.

Frederick's lips pressed into a thin line, his face dark and stormy.

He grabbed Douglas's phone, hung up, tossed it on the table, and got up to leave.

"Hey, I just bought that latest model, don't break it!" Douglas fretted over his phone.

Frederick stormed out of the private room without looking back, heading straight for Isabella.

Isabella, having been hung up on, didn't call back, but she was fuming.

The greater the hope, the greater the disappointment!

She really thought she could divorce Frederick today.

She had always felt guilty towards Frederick, never having cursed or blamed him!

He couldn't even meet her once!

If he didn't want to see her, he could have just refused but instead he agreed to meet and didn't show up!

She felt like those fans who bought tickets to see Messi play, only for Messi not to take the field!

She felt played and very upset!

But fans could at least vent their frustration by shouting 'refund,' what about her?

All she could do was contact Douglas and shout a few words; she couldn't even see Frederick's face!

Arnold was already very shocked at this point; he even began to wonder if Isabella knew who Frederick was.

If she knew, would she dare to curse like this?

"Isabella, calm down first. What's going on between you and Frederick? If you have something to say, you can tell me, and I can pass it on to him. You..." Before Arnold could finish, Frederick suddenly appeared.

His face was dark and stormy, clearly angry.

Arnold was about to speak when Frederick said, "Move."

Douglas hurried to pull Arnold away, not giving him a chance to say a word.

Isabella was surprised to see Frederick and asked unhappily, "What are you doing here? Do you need something from me?!"

"Didn't you ask me to come?!" He would rather reveal his identity than let Isabella call him untrustworthy and not a man.

As a result, Isabella, who seemed to have left her brain at home today, didn't understand. She frowned and said, "Who asked you to come to me! Wait, is something wrong with Dennis?"

Just as Frederick was about to speak, John's call came in, "Mr. Valdemar, you need to come back quickly. Mrs. Anna Valdemar's people have come!"

Mrs. Anna Valdemar was Frederick's aunt, the one who always wished for Dennis's death.

Frederick's face darkened, and without saying a word, he got up and ran out of the café.

He ran in a hurry!

Isabella was left bewildered, "Hey, you..."

By the time Isabella went out, Frederick was already gone from outside the café.

She wasn't sure if something had happened to Dennis; she vaguely heard Dennis's name mentioned on the phone.

She put aside Frederick's no-show today, got on her bike, and headed to Sunnyvale Community.

This year was truly a harsh winter, with heavy snow falling again.

Isabella fell several times on the way, stumbling and finally arriving at Sunnyvale Community.

As soon as she reached the entrance, she heard a woman's screams.

Before she could react, a well-dressed woman tumbled down the stairs, landing right at her feet.

Isabella was taken aback.

Suddenly, a man rushed over, shoved Isabella aside, and went to help Anna, who was lying on the ground.

The guy pushed hard, and Isabella was thrown quite a distance away.

Just as she was about to fall, a large hand grabbed her arm and yanked her upright.

Isabella glanced at Eric in front of her, still shaken; she had enough of falling today!

The woman on the ground had twisted her ankle and was barely able to stand with the man's help. She cried and accused Frederick, "This is outrageous! You actually pushed me down the stairs! Are you trying to kill me? I'm your aunt, and you dare treat me like this! Are you even human?"

Frederick held Isabella's arm tightly and hadn't let go.

Isabella could feel his grip tighten even more after hearing Anna's words, as if he wanted to crush her bones.

She grimaced in pain but didn't dare make a sound.

Frederick glared at Anna, exuding a chilling aura, "You better not test my limits. If you dare to mess with Dennis again, don't blame me!"

His words seemed to be squeezed out from between his teeth.

It was as if they came from the depths of hell.

Isabella cautiously looked up at him; he was staring at the woman in front of him, his eyes filled with murderous intent.

Isabella's heart skipped a beat.

She used to think that Eric's gaze was cold enough, but now she realized that he was actually gentle in front of her.

Anna was furious, "You want to murder me; you'll get what's coming to you sooner or later! No, you're already getting it. Why is Dennis in such a terrible state? He's your retribution!

Dennis's illness is God's punishment for you! Just wait, God will take him away from send him to hell to punish you."

"Shut up!" Isabella couldn't help but shout.

She didn't know why, but hearing Anna talk about Dennis like that really annoyed her.

Anna turned her attention to her, "Who are you to talk to me like that?!"

"Who I am is not important. What's important is that the grudges between adults should not involve Dennis. Dennis is innocent! Cursing a child to hell is truly malicious!"

"How dare you! Who is this bitch talking to me like that! You have a death wish?!"

"No, but you can't curse Dennis!"

"You, bitch!"

Anna reached out to slap Isabella, but Frederick pulled Isabella behind him, shielding her and glaring at Anna, "Try touching her!"

Anna's raised hand hesitated and then lowered. She looked at Isabella suspiciously, "Is she the woman who can save Dennis?"

She had come today after getting news from Donna and Alison, specifically to see Dennis.

She didn't want Dennis to survive!

"She has no qualifications, no certificates, and you expect her to help? She looks like a woman using her looks to seduce you through Dennis. How stupid can you be to believe her?"

Anna looked at Isabella with disdain.

Before Isabella could explode, Frederick spoke, "If you insult her again, I'll cut out your tongue right now!"

There was already a murderous intent in his eyes.

"Frederick, you..."

"I've made myself very clear. This is the last time. Get out!"

Anna was scared and angry, "Fine, I'm leaving! Instead of threatening me, you should go check on Dennis. He looked pretty agitated just now; he might not make it!"

With that, Anna stormed off.

She walked with a limp, having fallen earlier.

As soon as Anna left, Frederick and Isabella rushed upstairs.

They had just reached the fifth floor when they heard John's sobbing, "Dennis, don't scare me! Wake up, don't scare me. If you leave, how will your father live? Open your eyes!"

Frederick's expression changed dramatically, and he took the stairs three at a time, rushing into the room, "Dennis!"
