Chapter 165 Dennis is Angry. Frederick is Hurting Him!
Upstairs, after Elliot sent the three children into Frederick's study, he closed the door and made a call to the security guards in the community, "Ms. Beniere is downstairs. Be alert and make sure she doesn't get hurt or impulsively run up here. Eric is in a bad mood tonight and doesn't want to see her."
The sentinel remained silent, but abruptly proclaimed, "It's strange."
"What's strange?"
"Ms. Beniere seems to be talking to someone, but there's clearly no one around her."
Elliot was puzzled, inquiring, "How can she be talking to someone if no one's there?"
"She's talking to the air, but it doesn't look like she's talking to herself. It's quite odd."
Elliot was curious and asked, "What is she saying?"
"Can't hear from this distance, just see her lips moving."
"What is she doing now?"
"Looking at her phone. It seems like someone sent her a message. She looks very nervous, staring at the screen, and she seems very sad. She is crying."
"Crying?"
"Yes, she's crying, and she looks very upset."
Elliot thought for a moment, frowned, and said, "I'll go down and check. You guys, look at the surveillance and check the situation in the community."
Isabella was related to Dennis, so anything concerning her couldn't be overlooked.
Moreover, tonight was special. She was very opposed to Frederick seeing her children. Elliot always felt that something big was going to happen tonight.
Inside the study.
As soon as Hugo, Justin, and Paul entered the room, Frederick immediately frowned, and his heart skipped a beat!
Gazing at the three masked children before him, his expression grew exceedingly complex.
He couldn't describe the feeling; a mix of emotions suddenly surged within him!
It made him restless! His blood was boiling! Every cell in his body was cheering, jumping with excitement!
This feeling, he had only experienced once five years ago. That was the first time he saw Dennis!
At that time, Dennis was wrapped in a blanket, small and thin. When he looked at Dennis, it was the same feeling as now!
His heart was pounding, nervous, excited, and a bit at a loss.
But Dennis was his son, so he was excited.
And these three children in front of him were clearly Isabella's sons, having nothing to do with him. Why was he excited?
Frederick looked at the children in confusion and quickly focused on Dennis.
Although Dennis's exposed eyes and eyebrows outside the mask were exactly the same as Hugo and Paul's, their temperaments were completely different.
Hugo was mature and steady, his eyes slightly narrowed, giving a strong, mysterious, and unpredictable feeling.
Paul, ever timid and fearful, blinked his eyes frantically, casting cautious glances at Frederick. His eyes rimmed with redness, giving the impression that he might burst into tears at any moment, unmistakably revealing him as a crybaby.
Dennis, on the other hand, was cold and aloof. With his brows knit tightly, every inch of him, right down to the strands of his hair, radiated a chilling aura.
He was simply a miniature version of Frederick!
So as soon as Frederick saw him, he immediately focused on him.
"What's your name?" Frederick asked suspiciously.
Dennis furrowed his brows tightly, pinching his palm hard to calm himself.
His eyes on Frederick were filled with five parts displeasure, two parts nervousness, and three parts frustration.
Displeasure is because Frederick made Isabella cry!
Nervousness arose from the fear that Frederick might recognize him, thereby sabotaging their brotherly scheme and souring Isabella's mood.
Frustration is because he really wanted Frederick and Isabella to be together. He longed for a complete family, yet Frederick remained disappointingly inept.
He didn't even know Isabella was the woman he had been looking for!
Because he didn't know, it was understandable that Frederick didn't like Isabella at now, but he even made her angry and cry.
With this behavior, even if he knelt and cried to chase Isabella in the future, Isabella might not forgive him!
If Isabella couldn't forgive Frederick, she wouldn't be with him. If he remained single, what about him?
He was digging a pit for his son!
The more Dennis thought about it, the angrier he got. Just as he was about to speak, Hugo spoke first, "This is my brother Justin. What's the matter?"
Frederick frowned slightly, uttering, "Take off the mask and let me see."
Dennis and Paul became more nervous, both looking at Frederick warily.
However, Hugo took off his mask first and instructed Dennis and Paul, "Justin, Paul, take off your masks too. No need to wear them indoors."
Dennis and Paul turned to look at Hugo, who gave them a reassuring look.
They followed his command. Despite their hesitation, they obediently removed their masks.
Three people, one face!
They were clearly triplets!
Under Paul's manipulation, Dennis and Hugo looked completely different, unrecognizable from their previous appearances.
At this moment, Hugo and Dennis had transformed to look exactly like Paul.
Frederick looked at Dennis, frowning slightly.
Before taking off the mask, he really suspected this child was Dennis. Now it seemed, it was just the temperament that was similar.
He stared at Dennis for a few more seconds, then looked away.
Instinctively, he picked up a cigarette from the pack on the table, but before lighting it, he remembered not to smoke in front of children and put it down.
He looked up, unconsciously looking at Dennis again, and suddenly asked, "Do you hate me?"
This child's eyes were not right!
Dennis furrowed his brows tightly, his lip caught between his teeth. It wasn't hate; it was pure anger!
But before he could speak, Hugo answered, "Not hate, just that you made our mommy cry, and we're all very unhappy."
Tonight was Hugo and Frederick's battlefield!
He sought to advocate for Isabella and dispel Frederick's suspicion about her, so she could continue her meetings with Dennis!
Frederick, hearing this, focused on Hugo. Looking at Hugo, he immediately thought of the mature and steady Dennis from the family memorial event.
But looking at Hugo's face, which had nothing to do with Dennis, he dismissed his doubts.
"I made your mommy cry?" He asked.
"Yes, you called her tonight, forbidding her from seeing Dennis again. She was very sad."
Frederick frowned as he inquired, "She told you that?"
"We had just arrived home when you called. She was crying very sadly. We asked and found out."
"You all know Dennis?"
"Yes."
"She often mentions Dennis in front of you?"
"Almost every day, she talks about Dennis. Our mommy loves to talk to us. We are mother and sons, but also good friends."
Frederick frowned again, feeling a bit sour.
As a parent, Isabella could talk to her children, but he couldn't!
He also wanted to talk to Dennis every day, to be both father and friend, but he didn't have the chance!
Dennis didn't like talking to him, and he couldn't get into Dennis's heart.
Frederick felt sour for a while, then asked Hugo, "How does she talk about Dennis to you?"
"Mommy says Dennis is very well-behaved and understanding, just that he doesn't like to talk or express himself. Mommy also says she likes Dennis very much, and Dennis likes her too."
"So she wants Dennis to be her son?" Frederick questioned coldly.
Hugo immediately shifted the topic to tonight's main point: "Are you suspecting my mommy wants to take your son?"
