Chapter 158 You're Not Fit to Be Their Father
Frederick was furious when he heard her admit it.
"Isabella, you must have a death wish!"
Isabella was flustered, her heart pounding out of her chest.
Earlier today at the amusement park, he suddenly called her, saying he was taking Dennis home first and that she should take a cab. He also said she didn't need to cook dinner for Dennis tonight.
She thought it was odd at the time. So she asked why, and he said she was being nosy.
Later, she thought, he is Dennis's biological father; he wouldn't harm Dennis, so she didn't think much of it and went straight to the supermarket.
She planned to buy some delicious food and make a big dinner for Freya, Hugo, Justin, and Paul to make up for neglecting them while taking care of Dennis.
Who would have thought that as soon as she got home, he would call and question her!
How did he know she had taken Hugo and Justin from him? No, why does he say Hugo and Justin are his? She was still just suspicious!
And even if he had evidence that Hugo and Justin were his, could what she did be called taking them?
She carried the children for ten months and raised them through hardship!
She was the children's biological mother; it was natural for the children to grow up with their mother!
Why say she took them? The real one taking them is him!
The two of them had completely different understandings, so the more Isabella thought about it, the angrier she got.
She exclaimed angrily, "What do you mean, your sons? What right do you have to say they are your sons? Have you ever cared for them as they grew up?
Where were you when the child was born, when they first began to babble, and during those nights when they fell ill with a fever?
Did you know what toys they like? What did they love to eat? When are their birthdays?
As they grew up, did you ever buy them a pair of socks or shoes?
Whether you knew about the children or not, for whatever reason, the fact is you never cared for them a single day, never fulfilled a single day of your responsibilities and duties as a father!
So, you have no right to say they are your sons! You don't even deserve to be their father! You have no right to tell me I took your sons!
On the contrary, if you dare to fight me for them, you are the one taking them!"
Frederick was also angry and didn't hear everything.
Isabella spoke at length, yet all he heard was her accusation that he had failed in his duties and responsibilities as a father! That he didn't deserve to be a father!
Frederick's temples throbbed with anger!
All these years, he had poured his heart and soul into Dennis!
He could accept being told he hadn't taken good care of Dennis.
After all, Dennis had psychological issues and didn't grow up like a healthy child, which was his fault as a father.
But to say he didn't deserve to be a father, he couldn't accept that!
He stated, "Stay away from Dennis and me from now on. Don't let me see you again! If you don't disappear from my son's life, I'll make you disappear from this earth!
I'm much harsher than Anna! I don't kill people with cars; I prefer making life worse than death!"
Frederick, in his anger, just wanted to cut ties with her. After warning and threatening her, he hung up the phone.
Isabella was terrified!
He was talking about Dennis, not Hugo and Justin! But he said she would never see Dennis again!
Isabella's phone fell to the ground, the screen shattering, just like her heart at that moment!
The thought of never seeing Dennis again made her feel like her soul was being ripped out. Her whole body trembled, her nose tingled, and she felt utterly miserable.
Just then, Freya came back with Hugo, Justin, and Paul. Seeing Isabella in the kitchen, the four of them were shocked, asking, "Isabella, what's wrong?"
"Mommy!"
Isabella didn't want to affect the children's mood, so she quickly sniffed, as she said, "I'm fine." Then she went back to her room quickly.
The four of them became even more worried; it was obvious something was wrong!
"Don't worry, I'll go check on her," Freya said and quickly went to see Isabella.
Hugo, Justin, and Paul hurried to the door, frowning and eavesdropping.
Inside the room, they heard Isabella crying, mumbling that she would never see Dennis again.
Hugo and Paul quickly looked at Dennis. Dennis was also confused, remarking, "I don't know what's wrong with Mommy."
Hugo frowned and texted Justin.
Hugo: [Frederick made Mommy cry, find out what's going on!]
Justin had just returned to Dennis's room and saw the message, his eyes widening!
He called Hugo immediately, asking, "Mommy cried? What's wrong with Mommy? Why is she crying? Is she very sad? Is she okay now?"
"Not yet, it probably has something to do with Frederick. We'll cheer Mommy up; you find out the reason," said Hugo.
"Okay!" Justin hung up, gritting his teeth, both heartbroken and angry.
Frederick dared to anger his mommy and even made her cry! How dare he!
Just then, Frederick opened the door and came in.
Justin shot him a cold look.
