Chapter 76 The Temptation of Getting Wet
Isabella got shoved into this sketchy, half-built building by a couple of thugs.
Inside, more guys were waiting, all grinning and giving her the creeps.
"Today's haul is a good one. This chick's hot! I'd pay to get with her."
"Check out that body!"
"Untie her. Tied up, she's no fun. It's better when they can move."
Isabella's heart was pounding. She didn't know these guys, but their intentions were crystal clear.
As soon as they untied her, she kicked the dude next to her and made a run for it.
But she didn't get far before someone yanked her hair and dunked her head into a water tank.
"Still fighting back? You need a lesson!"
The water was freezing, and Isabella felt like her blood was turning to ice. She struggled, but it was no use.
Every time she surfaced, they shoved her back down.
They only pulled her out when she was about to pass out.
Gasping for air, soaking wet, and shivering, Isabella saw the guys were thrilled.
"Wet and wild!"
"I told you, she's got a killer body. With her clothes sticking to her, she's even hotter. I can't take it!"
"Go for it, my pants are about to burst!"
Isabella glared at them, panting like an angry little beast. "Don't push me!"
"Who are you warning? Think you'll get lucky like last time when Lily saved you? Dream on!"
Recognizing a familiar voice, Isabella turned quickly.
It was Susan Brown!
Isabella was shocked.
"It's you?"
"Yeah, it's me. You ruined my life, so don't expect any mercy!" Susan snarled, full of malice.
Isabella was furious and speechless. She ruined Susan's life? Susan was just shifting blame!
Isabella frowned and said,"Did you forget how Douglas and Mrs. Perry warned you?"
"Of course I remember, but I'm not scared."
This time, someone else had put Susan up to it.
Without backing, she wouldn't dare be so bold. She hated Isabella but was just "Douglas's ex-girlfriend."
The Brown family in Teronica was wealthy but not aristocratic. One warning from Lily, and Susan wouldn't act out.
But her backer was different, from Teronica's top elite. Even Lily didn't matter to them.
They hated Isabella too and promised to support Susan's revenge, no matter how big the mess. They could handle it.

"You're not afraid of The Barnes family, but do you realize you're destroying yourself? Kidnapping and rape are serious crimes! Are you ignorant of the law?"

Isabella was stunned. Was she really that clueless about the law?
Susan, full of arrogance, said, "My backer is powerful! Even if I kill you, I can walk away unscathed."
"No backer is above the law."
"Really? What if I told you my backer is Frederick, the CEO of The Valdemar Group?"
Isabella was shocked. "Who?"
