Chapter 34 Encountering That Creepy Guy Glen Again!
Glen searched the corridor for Isabella, planning to have his security check the surveillance footage to find her.
Suddenly, he spotted her and a wicked smile crept across his face.
"No need to check the cameras. I've found her!"
Isabella gritted her teeth and ran, leading him towards a corner.
She didn't want Freya and the three children to see her with Glen.
She needed to lure him to a secluded spot and put an end to his threat with the silver needles.
However, before she could reach the corner, Glen's bodyguards blocked her path.
Glen, out of breath, grabbed Isabella by the hair and berated her, "You think you can run?"
Isabella, in pain, tried to kick him, but her foot landed on his shoe.
Glen, infuriated, choked her against the wall, his intention clear.
The two bodyguards stood by, indifferent. "Find an empty room. I'll finish her here!"
The bodyguards nodded and left.
Glen, his grip tightening, hissed, "You're mine. In Teronica, I always get what I want. Let's see how you'll escape today!"
Isabella, struggling to breathe, her face flushed with anger, made up her mind to get rid of Glen. Just as she was about to use a syringe, a familiar voice interrupted, "What do you think you're doing?"
Isabella turned to see someone she knew well, Daniel.
Daniel was her good friend, Eleanor's husband, and they had attended the same school.
Eleanor was the only daughter of the Rogers family, a prominent figure in Teronica.
The Rogers family was wealthy, and Eleanor, with their support, had become a successful actress.
Three years ago, she had become a well-known celebrity.
Daniel, on the other hand, came from a humble background.
He had a difficult time growing up due to his family's financial struggles.
He met Eleanor in college, and they fell in love.
After graduation, they got married.
Daniel became the son-in-law of the Rogers family, no longer the poor boy from the countryside.
Knowledge had indeed changed his fate.
Daniel rushed over and was surprised to see Isabella in such a situation.
"Isabella?!"
Isabella slowly put away the needles, feeling embarrassed and relieved to see Daniel.
Daniel forcefully removed Glen's hand and shielded Isabella.
"Mr. Walter, what do you think you're doing?!"
Glen, still angry, retorted, "And who are you?!"
"I'm Daniel, the manager of the Rogers Group."
"The Rogers Group? So, you're the man who married into the Rogers family."
Daniel frowned, a hint of hostility flashing in his eyes.
He suppressed his anger and said, "Show some respect. Let her go. She's my classmate."
"Respect? I wouldn't even show respect to your father-in-law if he were here. Get lost."
Glen tried to push Daniel away, but Daniel grabbed his wrist.
Daniel, taller and stronger, held Glen's wrist firmly and asked sternly, "Mr. Walter, you may not respect the Rogers family, but what about the Valdemar family? This is the Valdemar family's property. If you cause trouble here, you'll be disrespecting the Valdemar family. How do you think they will react, especially Mr. Valdemar? I heard he can't stand people causing trouble on his turf."
Glen, upon hearing this, sobered up.
After a moment of silence, he coldly said to Daniel, "I'll deal with you later!"
Then, he looked at Isabella and said, "And you, I'll have my way with you later!"
Glen stormed off, and Isabella finally relaxed, taking deep breaths.
Daniel looked at her with concern. "Are you okay? Do you need to go to the hospital?"
Isabella shook her head. "I just need some rest."
Daniel quickly went to a nearby self-service bar, grabbed a bottle of water, and handed it to her. "Have some water."
"Thank you."
Isabella took the bottle and drank several sips. "How do you feel? Are you sure you don't need to go to the hospital?"
"I'm fine," Isabella replied.
Daniel let her rest for a while before asking, "When did you come back? What happened between you and Glen?"
Isabella explained, "I came back some time ago, but I heard from Freya that Eleanor was abroad filming, so I didn't visit you."
Freya mentioned that Eleanor had taken on a highly confidential project and had signed a non-disclosure agreement.
She couldn't contact anyone outside the production crew.
Eleanor had been out of touch for over a year.
When Isabella mentioned Eleanor's overseas filming, Daniel's expression turned a bit strange.
